How was the performance of Ikuowem Udoh? One of the guys, i wanted to keep an eye on in this CHAN.
He gave a good account of himself
After Ezenwa, he was second best

It is funny how someone wants us to commend the team without criticisms.... but they would gladly jump on the boat of criticisms when the Main Super Eagles are involved... they won't even mind that we won but will still point out our flaws...

Shouldn't they now do the same? So much for talk on equity.... Sir Goldfish80 is joke. A big joke... his double standards and lies.
Dude promotes some kind of divided focus on our team.... sees no wrong with the local lads but sees a lot wrong with some key players in the main Super Eagles... loooollll...

I am bold to say that if Nacho picks up an injury (yikes! God forbid ooo), I am so certain he will be among the few who will be so glad about it.... it is that bad. HATE DRAINS and brings out the ugly beast in one. See his rants against my person? That is what shamelessly saving face is like for one who has lied and cannot come around to admit it.
You can only keep a cool face behind a moniker on the internet... but you cannot lie to your conscience.

It will be only fair that this home based team gets the same big lashings for their flaws just as the main Super Eagles get even when they shine.... the tiniest of flaws are over criticised... do the same to the home based Eagles.. and in fact... flog Okpotu... he is no better despite his goal...

But Nacho will shine and still get the sticks.... call a spade a spade and stop this hypocrisy. As long as I am on this thread... such hypocrisy will always be called out and put in their ugly places.

Abeg.. Congrats to Salisu and the lads... we know none of them can make that WC squad maybe except Ezenwa but they have done well on the overall... wink

For making the semis... at least, Rohr can begin thinking of a Faleye for long term future invites... wink

good you're try to unveil some of my earlier comments....
it is a good thinh you know...
but that does not change the fact...that this team finishing ability is questionable and yusuf failure to address this rightfrom the WAFU tourney doesn't look professional...

you want me commend a team so wasteful in front of goal...but you withheld yours from a young lad....trying to prove himself in England....
I doubt if any of your favorite in this team will make Peterborough reserve team

please you can give yours to the CHAN team and let me give mine to nancho....
after all it is my choice...

Eh but sebi they say he is 23.

If players like Iheanacho, Iwobi, Ndidi, Awaziem, Ebuehi, Aina are still work in progress. They and Okpotu are in their early 20s na. Then there is hope for Okpotu for 2022 WC.

Hardwork ko...hardwork nii... Can Okpotu be better than what he is now? Considering that he is not 23? I hate the stink of mediocrity near our team... Okpotu is a good lad for the home based but is just not "Main" Super Eagles Quality...

Imagine an Osas Okoro coming to compete with Ebuehi, Aina, and Shehu... he will be roasted. The quality gap is much and Osas cannot go beyond what he has now... he is even older than all those right backs I just mentioned. They have potentials... but what does Osas have that is so "wow-like" when it comes to the Main Super Eagles?

None of them are Russia-bound except only Ezenwa...

4-5 years is a long time in football. Many new players will rise and many old players will drop. If he doesn't look like he can make it in the next 1 or 2 years then he is on a long thing.

Joel Obi Scores Again As Torino Bash Benevento
By James Agberebi

Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi made it two goals in his last two Serie A games for Torino who thrashed visiting 10-man Benevento 3-0 on Sunday.
Obi was also on target last Sunday when Torino held Sassuolo to a 1-1 away draw in the league.

Torino got off to the perfect start as Iago Falque opened scoring in the third minute.

In the 33rd minute, Benevento had a player sent off as Vid Belec got his matching orders.
Torino took advantage and doubled their lead in the 40th minute through Mbaye Niang.
And on the stroke of halftime, Obi made it 3-0 in favour of Torino.
The win took Torino to ninth on 32 points in the Serie A standings.
Obi has now scored four goals in 14 league appearances for Torino so far this campaign.

Osimhen Makes First Start, Inspires Wolfsburg To Victory Over Hannover
By Johnny Edward

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen made his first Bundesliga start of the season for Wolfsburg in Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Hannover 96, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Yunus Malli scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute of the cagey encounter at the HDI arena.
With Divok Origi ruled out of the game, Osimhen featured for the entire duration of the win in his seventh appearance this season.
The game was his 10th appearance for the club since he joined Wolfsburg in January, 2017.

Prior to his first start this season, Osimhen had featured six times as substitute this term.

Wolfsburg are now 13th in the Bundesliga log with 23 points from 20 games and will face VFB Stuttgart in their next game on Saturday.

CHAN: Ezenwa Named Man Of The Match Of Nigeria Vs Angola
By Adeboye Amosu

Home-based Super Eagles captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa was named man of the match following his superb showing in the side’s 2-1 win against Angola in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) quarter-final clash on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Ezenwa is the third Nigerian player to have picked the award in the competition after Stephen Eze and Dayo Ojo were adjudged best players in the games against Libya and Equatorial Guinea respectively.

The Enyimba goalkeeper was at his best in the encounter, making four vital saves to ensure the Home Eagles beat the Angolans and secure their passage into the semi-finals where they will face Sudan.

His impressive showing has no doubt boosted his chances of not only making Nigeria’s 23-man squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but picking the number one goalkeeping position.

Salisu Yusuf’s men came back from a goal down to beat Angola 2-1 with Anthony Okpotu and Gabriel Okechukwu grabbing the goals.

They will take on Sudan in one of the two semi- inal games in Marrakech on Wednesday.

See how hard you're banging your head on the wall to prove to that Kelechi is a striker while saying the opposite almost at the same time.
You follow the tide. You don't have the strength of character to stand on your words like a man.

I said Kelechi is a useless lone forward and I have repeated that time after time. That is character right there. I stand on my word till thy the kingdom come. A character trait that is very alien to you.
No wonder you cannot relate. Oh yes man.
