No Club Brugge Trial For Kano Pillars Golden Boy Nazifi Yahaya After Visa Denial For The Third Time Highly rated Kano Pillars 17 year old forward Nazifi Yahaya has once again failed in his bid to travel to Belgium for trials with Club Brugge after the Belgium Embassy denied him visa. It is the third time that the forward has suffered such disappointment, despite supporting documents from the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) to the Belgium Embassy. Nazifi was the top scorer of the NPFL U17 team that won a youth tournament in South Africa last year, and his performance lead to lot of interest in his services. Club Brugge stole a march on their rivals by offering him a chance to have trial with them. A move which might be postponed for now untill he turns 18 after the latest setback concerning securing a visa for him. Still only 17, he is widely regarded as one of the top teens in Nigerian football at the moment and from all indication he will make the list of the next youth team of Nigeria. **Osas Mahawi. Iheanacho Is Top Scorer In FA Cup In Past Two Years, Ahead Of Spurs Striker Harry Kane Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho is the top scorer in the FA Cup in the past two years. The statisticians at OPTA have reminded us that since Iheanacho made his FA Cup debut in January 2016, he has scored more goals in the competition than any other player in this period. In the 2015-2016, Iheanacho was the second highest goalscorer in the competition with 4 goals from 3 matches, behind Czech Republic international Matěj Vydra who scored 6 goals. The following season, the Nigeria international managed only one goal which came in Manchester City's 5-1 rout of Huddersfield Town, and he has notched 4 goals this term to take his tally in the FA Cup to nine goals. The Golden Ball winner at the 2013 Fifa U17 World cup has scored against five different teams : Fleetwood Town, Peterborough, Huddersfield Town, Norwich and Aston Villa. Europe's top scorer for 2017, Tottenham Hotspur goal machine Harry Kane, has netted 8 goals in nine FA Cup appearances; one goal less than Iheanacho from the same number of games. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Source: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=26375 Russia 2018 WC Countdown: 136 days to go 4 Likes |

To simplify the whole talk. Iheanacho can play multiple roles in the forward line and he can also play as a creative attacking midfielder. That is what is required from modern day forwards. Yesterday, we saw Raheem Sterling lead the line and he did a nice job there until Aguero came on. Iheanacho can play as a top striker, support striker, creative attack midfielder and also as a wing forward. In today's modern demands of the game, a player should not be tied to a particular role but the amount of contributions he can add to the team playing multiple roles. This Iheanacho has flourished in and that is another reason why he is a special talent. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

tbaba1234: He showed class by scoring at the 90th minute. It is not about how many times we fall but the times we get back up. I have seen the great Luis Suarez miss easier opportunities, it even got to the point that on a 3 on 1 Messi decided to go with Paulinho over Suababa. 1 Like |

rabzy:Friday Ekpo was a good midfielder with too much of skill, well respected in the local league with Abiola Babes,Leventis United,ACB and iwuayanwy Natiomale. He also had a stint with athletic petro of Gabon but couldn't raise his game after Senegal 92 and this paved way for Sunday Olishe. I still remember his well tailored pass at Senegal 92 to Stephen Keshi that gave us the second goal against Senegal. It was high tension match with Siasia scoring a beautiful goal and Jules Bocande equalised for Senegal after snatching ball from Keshi but Keshi redeemed his image after scoring the second goal and the winner. 1 Like |

tbaba1234: Maybe because our best hardly stay in the league without running away to some backwater countries for the money. (not their fault though, 99% of Nigerian footballers play football for the money). Imagine the kind of players (Attackers precisely) that have left our league for greener pastures in the past 2-3 years. Libyans, Sudanese, Zambians, Egyptians, Moroccans, etc don't lose "most" of their best to foreign leagues like we do. i think we are the most hit when it comes to "football drain". Hopefully, welfare and player package will improve and become better with time. 2 Likes |

He actually tried scoring that goal but he hasn't been sharp when comparing strikers. Suarez is not 23, Okpotu is the so called 23, when Suarez was 23, he was scoring like madddd. BascoVanVeli: 2 Likes |

Hattrick Bodvarsson, whose Iceland will be in Nigeria’s group at the Russia 2018 World Cup, scored a hat trick for Reading to set up a fourth round (round 32) of the FA Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday who also defeated Carlisle 2-0 in a third round replay on Tuesday. The 25-year-old scored the opener in the 32nd minute, volleying home from close range into the bottom right corner. The Icelandic international doubled his side’s lead one minute before the break, heading in Chris Gunter’s corner from the centre of the box into the top right corner. Reading had to change their jerseys in the second half because of a kit clash with the visitors. In the 64th minute, Bodvarsson scored in two different kots in the same match when put the game beyond the visitors, grabbing his third goal on the night with a fierce shot from close range. It was Bodvarsson’s first hat-trick in English football, on what is his 68th appearance in all competitions (48 for Wolves, 20 for Reading). Bodvarsson scored thrice in eight World Cup qualifying games for Iceland who qualified for their first ever senior World Cup. Iceland are drawn in Group D alongside Nigeria, Croatia and Argentina at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Aluko on his part has made 26 Sky Bet Championship appearances this season and has scored one goal, providing four assists. The fourth-round ties of the FA Cup competition will be played across the weekend of 27 January and 28 January. |

Kog45: Ow that highly electrifying game. Playing against the host in the tournament opener no be beans. Memories of playing against Algeria in the opener of Algiers 90 still hunted us. Just that we had a stronger team and playing against a relatively weaker opposition. Jules Bukande, that guy na baller. Both teams played well. It was highly tensed. We saw the best of Keshi after Senegal equalized. Think I saw the video on YouTube sometime ago. I will look for the highlights and post here. 1 Like |
