This thing is very simple... Just ascertain the value of all those old transfers in today's market .... U can use the percentage of the transfer record at that time...

Am not an economist, but i understand inflation is a significant factor and ignoring it will make this an exercise in futility
So the level of competition then and now is the same, right? Answer; yes or no...

And when Pep doesn't have Messi, he becomes Eddie Howe...

Who's Eddie Howe, has he also won three league titles without messi? grin

Oho. So you can't put your account where your mouth is? You now remember that Shiteh and Utd started the season together eh? Is that how hypocritical you are?

And why should I put my account on the line when you are the one who wakes us up everyday with a Pep-Mourinho morning cry? Why should I wager with my account when you're the one spamming this whole board with your 12 point gap cacophony? Why the heck should I agree to this deal when clearly you are the one who carry the matter on top head like Mt Kilimanjaro?

Even upBaka fans, whose club Pep won 2 UCLs for aren't as boisterous about this issue as you, a fan of a club he crashed out of the UCL semis with serially in a shameful manner. This is despite dominating the local yeye league and having a whole month to prepare for the UCL knockout stages. Even Pellegrini achieved more for City both in the league and UCL than Pep has, and at a lower cost. Oju o ki n ti yin ni sah? Have you no shame?!

If Pep doesn't win the EPL and you don't deactivate your account, a thunder the size of Texas from Sango and Thor combined will strike your left testicle by the grace of Odin, Obatala and Orunmila!

See epistle, Are you speaking all these grammar just to say you dont trust Mourinho to win this season

If you trust Mourinho to win the league this season since he started the same time with everyone else, stake your ID

I am ready to stake mine If you are ready to do the same

Is it not also foolhardy to consider Mourinho's early years as a coach? Is it not foolhardy to think Mourinho should have won more coaching moderately successful teams bar Madrid and now Manchester United who are only starting to rise after a slump occasioned by the retirement of Fergie?
Is it not foolhardy to talk about number of trophies won in relation to the number of years in the game without factoring in the amount spent in this period?

Under Mourinho Chelsea was the highest spending team in Europe

You were trying to say that barca missed Pep because they have won just once since Pep left but how is that possible when Pep himself hasn't even won any since that time too?

Dortmund and Athletico were what that year? Even till now they still are. Monaco that almost got to the final destroying Pep is what?

Edit this statement by replacing Barca with inter and pep with Mourinho and then read it again

Laporte has joined city for another +50 mullion quids.

It's time UEFA start investigating these guys. They have now bought over 8 players for +300m in one season.

Pep takes his City spending to £450 million in under two years with this signing.
But Jose is the chequebook manager.
This is the same Pep that two days ago was claiming Citywas on a budget.
£57 million on a 23 year old who is uncapped for France. But when United signed Martial it was maga United.

The hypocrisy of these Cheque Fraudiola fanboys is the wonder of 2018 so far

Is he spending more per trophy won? Don't be a coward, take up the challenge...

You'll use your hand to kill yourself.

This question has somehow managed to go unanswered all through this dialog.
Does it have leprosy that the people supposed to answer it are dodging it like a missile?

Laporte's buyout clause was paid. Simple.

Laporte is 23 and he is to replace Vincent who has been plagued by injuries. There is a difference between a squad for the future and just buying quick-fix mercenaries.

FFP rules state that City can spend within what they have made and can go a little above it. Both in terms of revenue and wage budget they are fully under the cap.

Yes, City cannot pay 80M and co for one player. If they could Mbappe and Pogba would have been signed in the past. Not that they frown at clubs who do that but it is contrary to their financial plans for their club.

Let those who spend such money not turn around and use money as the excuse for another person's success. That is what is foul.

Pep is buying for the future but Pogba Lukaku Bailly Lindelof are for the past. We already have Martial Lingard Rashford for the attack but need the guidance of a more experience player so by the time those ones time is up, the younger ones would have learnt a lot. Common sense

There I was thinking Keeper's peaked at age 20 or that Bravo was the starter.

Nolito was exactly purchased for the future. That is why he is currently in Sevilla preparing for that future.

No It's defenders midfielders and attackers that peak at age 20.

Tell me how Ibra is a starter?

Matic would have been a regular starter at a top club had he remained at his former club.

Sanchez? Nothing to add

Ibra was not a starter uninjured?

What is this eulogy on Matic, should PSG also pay $2b for Messi "because he would have been a starter at his former club"?

He was last season. There is a reason a striker was bought for that amount this season. Ibra time has expired long ago and Lukaku was bought for the past.
