plz I don't have NYSC discharge certificate and also CIPM transcripts, can I still be granted visa

Yes you can cos many have gotten without NYSC. Make sure to state it in your sop and why you don't have it. If you don't have transcript, you must have certificate showing the course you studied so VO can determine your academic progression.

Good day pals
I have been a silent reader here for a couple of months now.
I got my offer letter for fall 2017 sometime in March 2017 and proceeded with an online application( heard it was faster and more convenient) on the 5th of May2017, biometrics was done on the 9th of May2017 and I checked processing, it was about 14weeks then, so I relaxed.
Wrote cic a couple of times when resumption was really close and my village people hijacked the mails. I had no choice but to defer the admission to fall 2018, because that is the only slot available.
As God will have it, I got a medical call late November and a passport request 29th of Jan 2018.
I wasn’t going to post this until I see the visa, but I want to encourage those who have been waiting this long not to give up hope, I pray you cannot wait this long and get a refusal IJN.

Hello Team!!!

Here again with a few questions please.

1- Is your fiancée a good enough 'Home tie' and how exactly do you prove to them that she is your fiancée (She is currently doing her masters in a Nigerian university)?
2- My father is in Nigeria but is not yet 70 so not exactly too old and my daughter is in Europe (Bear in mind that shes not from the fiancée .. SO i am guessing i cannot use them too? Kindly expatiate..
3- Where can i quickly get cheap land with a C of O lol i need that to also add.. As i am self sponsoring, i need these to show.
4- VERY Important.. Should i use the online method or paper! I am not sure how much documents i will submit just yet. Which has proven more effective?

Thank you!!

Sorry guys..

A few more questions..

If i use the online route and submit this month, is it advisable to travel out of the country in march/april assuming they haven't requested for the passport.

I am meant to travel around then but don't know the average time for passport request.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by hurricanesgrace: 12:32pm On Feb 02, 2018
Bro, my advice to you is that, u shud write ur SOP urself as nobody knws you as u knw urself. Paying sum1 to write ur sop myt jus b a disaster to your application. Write d sop ask gurus in d hous to help you preview it.
Hope dis help.

U can talk of, up to date equipment, internships, global experience, renowned lecturers and also compare some aspects found in your proposed course in canada which is not found here. Read your course website and do some research, you will find many.

She is correct. Tell them that the curriculum differs, the course in canada has added this and which is not part of the curriculum here in Nigeria. To support your claims you quickly read through your course website and include those courses that are not found here in Nigeria.

All the best!

It has got to be more than curriculum difference and faculty reputation between both countries to pass that prong where you are required to demonstrate why you want to study in Canada and not in Nigeria. I just read an SOP from an applicant going for philosophy with specialization in the Hegel school of thought in the understanding of difference and identity. She talked about how difference and identity in Nigeria has always been a tool of division, warfare and nepotism. She wanted to do research in that area and be exposed to how Canada has handled it's multicultural issues and channeled such differences as a tool of cooperation, not warfare and division like Nigeria. She was confident the way Canada handled it can serve as blueprint for her nation, Nigeria. I think that is how you effectively handle such issues, not simply talking about curriculum difference between both countries. Ok bye and best of luck!

And will you pay for your assignments when you get to Canada? Please even if someone will help you with your SOP you have to write something yourself then whoever wants to help you will work on what you must have written. Remember nobody on this forum knows you more than you know yourself . Please let's not be lazy. NB: I CAN COLLECT MONEY FROM YOU TO WRITE IT BUT SERIOUSLY IT WON'T HELP YOU IN FUTURE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GET TO CANADA

Thank you so much, the reason I don't have my nysc certificate is because I have not served yet and secondly I have not done any professional course like CIPM but I have transcripts from my school.
Secondly concerning the employment issue, I have no job yet, will that affect me since I just graduated

If you have transcript, you are good to go. Many have gotten TRV without job as long as you can show other ties to Nigeria. Could be strong family, social or professional ties or community involvement in Nigeria. Your parents and siblings are not enough strong ties, you have to add something else. Money in the bank personal asset in Nigeria or landed property that you hope to inherit.
