1 @30yr u are good for DSSC.
2 wen d form comes out and ur course is been advertise u go for it if its not advertise go for ICT.
3 As DSS, army decides ur corp and d corp u belong is base on ur course of study.
4 u make likely be sent to Signal corp.
5. Ur chances wit no professional cert is slim.
I advice u register wit a professional body. Go to NIIT and do a professinal programe even is 2months course and get a cert on ICT.
6. Wit ur grade as 2:2 and no professional body. The chances is very slim unless u hav God the father or godfather.
Army will not drop a 2:1 guy wit a registered body over a 2:2 guy witout a registered body.
7 u are not qualified for SSC

Army will rather pick a 23yr guy for SSC dan a 30yr.

SSC is best for guys b/w 24-27 yrs. They are the ones who will really enjoy their stay as SSC cos of the age on rank stuff.

yes. If a person is an Army recruit and was sponsored by the military to get a degree. If Airforce or Navy DSS is out, he can apply and become officer in another branch of service

I think its possible, General abdulsalam was seconded to the Army from the air force. although that was in the old sha, don't know about now.

Its called cross service. Its very common in the US military, but in Nigeria I don't think its still being done, but in the 60s/70s it was a norm.

1) I saw a video of a Nigerian war tank totally destroyed in Bama by terrorist and all personnel on board killed. How is this possible because BH guys do not have any special weapon that can totally destroy a battle tank apart from IEDs and RPGs which I believe can't do that much damage to a tank so how do this terrorist manage to deal such a heavy blow and which kind of armament can carryout such.
2)Do all SSC and Regulars train as special forces?
3)One of my secondary school classmates a member of 62RC has Amphibious, Special forces, scorpion and Eagle tag emblazoned on his uniform, what do they represent especially that eagles they paste near their breast pocket.
4)Do SSC guys get deployed to warzone after POP?
5)What's the criteria for going for peace keeping mission.

Smooth and clean shave as well as all round neatness is expected of any gentleman cadet and gentleman officer.
As an aspiring Cadet, it's good to present yourself in good light. This may or may not have anything to do with your chances of success but it sure will help you stay out of trouble. With a clean shave & good composure, you won't "bring yourself out" on the parade ground. This will save you from unnecessary "chawus".
If having a clean shave is a difficulty for any reason, just remember it's not forever but for 2wks max at AFSB. However, after u pass selection, trust me shaving stick will be your ally.

Excpt u resign from the army then apply for Airforce DSS.
Know that before u resign, u must service in the army for at least a period of 10yrs

Our father's army have learnt new innovations. They are now likely to request for National ID, this will "bring some of you out" who may fall victim.
So exercise caution.

yes sir. DSS can becom general.
We have a lot of them now.
The tin is, when u join as DSS and later go for convertion course and convert u can climb up to a Mjr Gen.

when the time for peace keepin mission comes, names of officers and soldiers will be shortlisted. If u are shortlisted u go. Though some officers and soldiers work their asses off to get their names shorlisted.
I always belive in God's time. I remember my cosmate who bribed his way to go for peace keepin his name came out and he went. Those set that went, when they returned from peace keepin to Nig from the airport they were sent straight to Sambisa forest. They didn't even get to see their family. Some their family came to airport to see them briefly..
The young man did not make it back from sambisa.

one thing is,
When u are qualified for a position both Physical, medical, mental and otherwise. And u have to get a conection. U are assured. As far as u have meet up the requiremnt any push u get from the back will get u there.

My uncle a serving Gen always tells us. If we need his help for anytin, we should first of all qualify for that. With that, he will be so bold to pull his weight and make sure we get that tin. If we are not qualify at the first place, he won't have the boldness to walk up to anyone and start saying 'please this is my boy help him' when he knows u havent meet up the requriemnt.

His son applide for 64RC then the man was a Col and was even working at the Academy. The boys name came out but during interview his hieght disqualified him. His dad has power to influnce it but he told the boy to go back home and eat more beans. The boy left and got admission in a school in UK. Now he's back and he's dad says if he's still interested for the service he says no.

I also have another uncle a serving Air Comodore this one will tell u to do it anyhow.

My advice is, always try and fulfill the requriement for a position before seekin for help so dat the person helpin u can have the morale to pull his or her weight knowing dat u are already qualified for it makes it easier wen the help comes.
