In the stone age, women found dominant men attractive because such men would be able to protect them and their offsprings. Evolution has changed or modified that theory. In the modern age and with better communication and sampling analysis, this can no longer be perceived as the whole truth.

Also, a man being dominant is so far away from the analogy of raping that I don't get the correlation. Are you saying all dominant men rape women? And some women like being raped? Is there any statistics that backs this up?

Some women choose a man for the beauty he will contribute to their offspring, some base it on how financially able he is to provide for her and children. Some base it on how sexually content their prospective partner makes them. Some prefer a dominant male and some prefer to be the alpha in the relationship. The lesson here is that communication has shown that we are a step ahead of animals who are still instinctive in nature when it comes to choosing mates.

I didn't say that wanting to be dominated means that they want to be raped. But this doesn't mean there aren't women who have rape fantasies. There are. And in my opinion it's an extreme or exaggerated expression of their attraction to being dominated.

No you are getting it wrong. Evolution is actually what underlies the statement I made. Evolution selects biological traits that aid the survival of a specie. The biological traits that spurred women to pick men who were dominant and aggressive to protect them are still the traits that are in most women today because women today are ancestrally linked to these women, since they were the ones more likely to survive and pass on their genes.
Of course we live in a modern era but these traits are still deeply wired in women. There is a reason women are more attracted to men who are taller, bigger and stronger than them - because these traits communicate to the primal, instinctive areas of a woman's brain that these kind of men can protect them and their offspring.

I didn't say all dominant men rape women. I said traits like dominance are the kind of traits that women are sexually attracted to, and these traits are also stereotypically linked to rapists.

Yes some women like to be raped. Some women like to be dominated in extreme, and sometimes even violent ways. This is fact. And there is a reason for that, and that reason is tied to what I said in the above paragraph. And majority of women tend to enjoy taking on the submissive role when having sex with a dominant man.

Choosing a man to marry and choosing a man to have sex with are two entirely different things. There are important factors women look out for in a husband that doesn't have anything to do with sexual attraction.
