No offense whatsoever. 20 per state. 4 ended up making it from my state. 2 Reverend Fathers, a public admin and a barrister.

I guess this was in August 2016, I remember DSSC was 20 per State but SSC which I attended was 30 per State in which they collected 8 per State for training but grouped them in zones when the list was released.

@Veraiyke, not being a member of any professional body may be the reason you were not selected for training in the DSSC.
They said it plays a major role in the selection of candidates for DSSC training.

the both commissions are good.
The first thing u should consider before choosin any of the two is ur age. If u are anytin 28 and above choose DSS.
The next tin to consider is ur certification.
The third tin is to ask urself what u want. Do u want to practise ur profession in the military if yes go for dss.
And with that course u major in. If u are goin for dss chose Education corp u won't regret it.

thanks alot for the reply sir. to begin with i will be 27 by june this year and will.be done with my nysc by april. currently i dont have any certification but i had ICAN in mind but i know it takes time to complete that course and thats why am asking this question because i heard certification is important or rather an added advantage for those applying dssc. is thier anything you can add on your previous advice given the added info i provided?

ssc and its only because i feel i have a high chance there but am very open to dssc because i get to practice what i studied but the lack of any certification is the reason why i prefer ssc over it. i hope this is good enough
