olugere: You will need a sponsor (Preferably someone who is related to you maybe Father, mother, Bro, sis, uncle),someone with a good reason to sponsor you and has a good inflow and outflow of cash for the 6months. You said you have 300k naira.Make sure you have a way to prove financial, so dat won't be your reason of denial. Paying your tuition is also a good sigh to the visa officer, that you are committed. Most importantly- The Visa Officer wants to be convinced you can survive in canada without working |

Saviouro: WEIRDPC: I don't know how many times I will tell applicants to stop using company/business bank statements as primary/main proof of funds to applicants. Visa officers don't regard Company bank statements as proof of fund. You only use that to support your application with your sponsor personal savings bank statement. Saviouro please stick to the advise of WEIRDPC it's a guided one, Let your uncle pay part/full tuition and transfer your living expenses to your dorm/personal account with this you have shown the visa officer that your primary intent is to study and you're a genuine student. Once you do this, your next application will be a successful one. Also try establish proof of relationship with sponsor it goes a long way on your application. All the best! 2 Likes |

Kindly share your profile to this honourable forum, so we can point out one or two things you included on your application. Once more congratulations Here77. 1 Like |

Good evening house, pls I need your advice to understand why I was denied a study permit to Canada and I also need advice on steps to take to ensure that my study permit is approved when I re-apply. Thank you very much for your anticipated responses. I have attached a copy of the document showing d reasons the embassy gave for their refusal. The document is not uploading, basically they gave 3 reasons for the refusal. 1.) not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue. 2.) not satisfied you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study. 3.) not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in. Canada, to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by WEIRDPC(m): 5:10am On Feb 09, 2018 |
luvcarz: Sorry for the delay. Order for GCMS note to know the real reason for the delay Look out for Frankrobbn1's post on how to tackle delay caused by finances. I think it's easy to get a solution to these problems as only the finances are ticked. You can also share your profile so the house can now how best to advise you Start planning to make part payment of your tuition in next application. Also, Your living cost for a year with a sum that is enough to cover your travel cost should be paid into your domiciliary or personal account. Best wishes |

Jpandjp1: Now it is established that an EE application can affect a student visa application. But it ought not to be. This is a perfect case to take to the Federal Court in Canada. 1 Like |

Ivan12: Hey , as someone who also went through a pre uni program couple years ago , you look set but I agree with the person who said the info about your brothers is not necessary. As a general rule only add docs that are highly relevant as the more documents you have , the more documents they have to potentially verify and the longer your application could take . |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Canadahelper: 7:01am On Feb 09, 2018 |
mhoosah: To fill the gap You could say you took a break from school to refresh and do some travelling within nigeria and spent the time improving your skills by taking online courses in XYZ. If you did any kinda volunteering , you could also add that. There’s always the option to just straight up say you tried the Gmat in that timeframe |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Canadahelper: 7:07am On Feb 09, 2018 |
Jpandjp1: In my opinion one issue that might look off is you said you already have an mba , are your pursuing a higher level than that ?(PhD?) .. cos otherwise it looks odd that you’re spending all that money to get another degree at the same level as what you have . At what stage did you create this EE profile ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Canadahelper: 7:18am On Feb 09, 2018 |
drdamy: Paragraph 2 Mentioning things like social and economic growth as well as standard of living kinda makes it look like you’re considering the country for permanent relocation . Maybe i’m being overly cautious but might be safer to change the paragraph to why Canada is a good country to study , cite quality of education / teaching e.t.c Second to Last Paragraph Second sentence is kind of hanging . “Found xyz institute is really the best place “. Best place to ? .. might be better to restructure the paragraph highlighting you’re aware of the challenges of the program and emphasizing your desire to work hard and succeed . |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 8:44am On Feb 09, 2018 |
Frankrobbn1: Not just having someone in Canada, but the person has to be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada to get that $5 rate. You have to write a letter too or fill out a government of Canada form given the person permission to get your records. Just helped someone to do it two days ago, the process is rather detailed. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by kylexy61(m): 9:44am On Feb 09, 2018 |
jnyuwa02: While I agree with that this ought not to be the case, they do have a valid reason for doing that. The study permit is a non-immigrant visa and they treat it as such. The applicant must show every intention of returning home after the visa expires. In other words, the prospect of returning home should look appealing to the applicant. This so that in case in the future, the applicant is not able to secure a visa that enables him to stay permanently, he will not retort to staying illegally (because going back home is just as appealing) If you proclaim that you will return in your trv application, go to canada and later decide to seek a permanent resident visa, no one cares. No one will come and drag you. But the question is what will you do if that permanent visa application is unsuccessful? Will u continue to stay illegally or you will return home. CIC wants the answer to be the latter, that's why they want you to prove to them in the first place. 2 Likes |
