Good evening house. I must sincerely commend every member of this group most especially, those who have
honestly shared their experiences & opinions here.
Please I'll need your honest advice. I just registered with uber & the car I'll be driving is Camry 08(muzzle) with weekly payment of 40k. Please is this OK? And if not, how much can U advise me to take it that I'll still be making my own money as a driver? Thanks.
Waiting for your prompt & honest advice.

30k and you will still find it difficult for a few weeks till you learn the ropes.

Not good bro. Car is like 2.4l in engine size. You'll be spending a lot on fuel. And you'll still have to pay 40k. You supposed to be giving 30k on a normal day. But, if you wanna try it for sometime, you can. Its gonna be stressful tho'. So prepare your mind. I suggest you look for a 1.4l - 1.8l engine sized ride, so that you ll get more money for yourself. Bottom line is, 40k is too much for that car.

Muscle for 40k? Don't you dare. Take it for 35k while you look for another 1.8ltr engine car.

GAZZUZZ train abroad? Oh no, he is train in Aba

I can't believe he is train abroad and behave this way.

People who train abroad will explain in details to you, not when he has an idea, kept mute with the options, but only direct u to the option of spending naira b4 giving u any answer. That's Aba trick...

Just like when u go to a good doctor, and your body is hot, he will tell you is either malaria or typhoid or this or that, but a proper test will tell you what is wrong.

Not just throw you straight to test, with no explanation or anything.

Be wary of a doctor who is quick to say you have malaria or typhoid just because u claimed to Have temperature.

First, welcome to the hustling land.
The problem is not the 40k you will be remitting, but rather the problem is in two fold.
1. You are a newb on Uber.
2. The car is Camry (Muzzle)

First, as a newby, you need to learn about positioning, profitable time to work, time to rest, riders issue, how rating works, professionalism, area to park and vice-versa, Lagos Traffic Police/LASTMA at Traffic Light e.t.c
All those are the challenges every newby face for the first few weeks on the job so you must be highly prepared.

Secondly, you need have good knowledge of the type of car you will be driving, i.e brief history of the car and it's performance, fuel consumption, Heating and Cooling System, the struts and the Transmission System among others.
If the two above are done and dusted, then your personality and attitude to work is the remaining deciding factor in you being able to remitting 40k weekly. If you negotiate the price down to 20k weekly and the above problem is still there, you will still fail your weekly remittance.
That does not mean that you should not negotiate down from 40k at the moment.

Note: XX years driving experience is never the same as "Ubering". Every business has it's learning curve.
Also Ehailing business is not a get rich quick scheme.

Flat tire? Diagnosis

Boss in the house, my Toyota corolla 2008 car AC is not blowing cold air. i took it to a car AC repairer for gas topping he said the system is not allowing gas topping that the compressor is bad that i'll need to change it for about 35,000 and that he will change it to a manual compressor instead of the automatic compressor that came with the car. BOSS i need your advice , i dont have that kind of money right now. what should i do?
Pls for the ones who may have an idea. What is the difference between a manual and automatic compressors?
