Iwobi lost balls today because he was doing his best to make shots through a metal door to make things happen. The Tottenham set up was resolute and it needed something special to unlock it.

Iwobi found that special pass and delivered the pass of the match. Unfortunately, Lacazette failed to convert it.

Props to Iwobi.

I see people are more concerned with Nacho not touching the ball than pointing out that his quality showed the few moments he touched the ball, especially that brilliant pass he made.

With Otamendi, Laporte and Kevin De Bruyne operating from deep, touching the ball was difficult. There is nothing funny about it or mean Nacho was poor. We saw Aubameyang roasted today by the brilliant play by the defenders of Tottenham coupled with Dembele.

The Middlesbrough defender Emanuel Pogatetz today issued a public apology to Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Possebon for the reckless, studs-up tackle during last night's Carling Cup tie that left the teenager in hospital. Pogatetz also accepted that he had deserved to be sent off.Possebon was kept in hospital overnight after the incident during United's 3-1 win at Old Trafford and needed stitches to a two-inch gash just below his right knee. But the 19-year-old will reflect that he actually had a lucky escape after x-rays showed there was no break.Sir Alex Ferguson, who said that he feared a long-term injury, accused Pogatetz of a "horrendous" and "terrible" challenge, while the former United and Middlesbrough defender Gary Pallister added further condemnation, accusing the guilty player of knowing he was going to hurt his opponent.

Pogatetz, however, insisted it had not been pre-meditated. "Firstly, I have to say that I went for the tackle because I thought I could win the ball. I now accept, however, that I misjudged the challenge," said the Middlesbrough captain. "Immediately after the incident, I did not think it was a red-card offence because I did win the ball. But now I have had the chance to see the tackle on television, I know the referee was right to send me off."Pogatetz said he had sent a message to Possebon and would try to contact him in person. "I am going to speak to Rodrigo by telephone and I have apologised for hurting him.

"I hope that he will make a quick recovery and that he will not be out for long."

His contrition will not spare him from a club fine and a three-match ban, while the incident will do little to improve the reputation of a player who refers to himself as "Mad Dog" and, as a Spartak Moscow player in 2005, was banned for 24 weeks, reduced to eight on appeal, after breaking an opponent's leg in two places.

Maybe you do not know players get bans for Horror tackles and what Matuidi did is a perfect picture of a horror tackle.
Bros these pics you're posting are too gory. Must you post them to address your point? Don't they irritate you? My God!

Puel was back to his old self. Negative football. That was why he left out some of his creative force including Gray, Mahrez (although the City drama made the decision easy) and Iheanacho.

Diabate offers more defensively, that was why he was selected over Nacho. In a more offensive setup, Nacho would have been picked ahead of him.

The goal Leicester City scored in the first half was kind of a Greek gift because it prevented an early offensive change. We saw the introduction of Danny Simpson.

When Nacho came in, the harm was already done. Even teams like Barcelona with quality forwards have found it difficult touching the ball.

Finito.
haha... You and your people wan kill him?

The man was trying to be cautious. His plan worked for him in the first half. A moment of loss in concentration in his defence cost him the game in the second half.

His best shot against a more organised and possessive side like yours was to sit deep and hit on counters or lob the ball straight to Vardy and wait for a Miracle.

There is no way they'll get away if they decide to attack. You've got pacy widemen with brilliant, intelligent and swift midfielders who can initiate attack in a split seconds.

It does irritate me but seeing someone try to justify that as a yellow card offence is more irritating. It makes the horrific tackle feel a bit less irritating.
That's not enough reason to display such gory pictures that unsettle the nerves. He watched the match; or better still refer him to YouTube...

Mr Clueless it had to take you about 24 hours to reply back, just because you are looking for what to say,i will not repeat my self on one same issues.

Back to my question, how many england born players who are nigerians are successful?Nobody thats why you cant answer that.0

The seyi ojo you are ranting about maybe because you are a clueless liverpool fan,how many games has he played for liverpool? 8 premier league games in 3 season, you cant answer that because you know nothing okay.

According to you seyi ojo was so good at 15 but he is still being loaned out now,why cant he follow the footstep of raheem sterling who also started at a tender age? Lol

READ MY LIPS.... Seyi ojo cannot make super eagles team because there are better players than him okay.

According to you at 18 he was a starter in the championship, what is the big deal about that? at 18 many players of his age are starters in the premier league?

At 18 Theo Walcott is a starter at arsenal, at 18 raheem sterling is a started at Liverpool? so what the hell are you saying, even rashford break into man united first team at 18,Do you want me to mention more names?

The U20 world cup england won, seyi ojo was not even a starter,he started 1 match or so and the rest he was a super sub, whats the big deal about winning a junior world cup? Nigeria normally win u17 world cup and ghana has also won u20 world cup.

So many EPL team wanted to buy him according to you but he prefer a championship team? Why,maybe because he will be benched by those team?

I know you are a liverpool fan and you will say anything to make that look good

Iheanacho will not play in the championship,Leichester cough out 25 Million pounds for him, they can only suggest here in nairaland for iheanacho to play in the championship does not mean he will play there, just as you are suggesting that seyi ojo is a good player does not make him a below average player,Many UK players are overrated, before you call someone a good player allow that person earn the credit, because your mouth cannot make him a good player.

A Player that cannot even make liverpool bench,No b him mate David Solanke wey dem just buy for chelsea dey make bench? Abeg guy go sleep,na rugby you suppose dey watch.

What injury did seyi ojo has that someone takes his place?Ok i agree he was injured,But when was he a starter at liverpool? Who took his place last season? So he has been playing along side coutinho and co? even Marco Grujic is ahead of him in the pecking order,Oga go sleep you dey clueless,if you quote me again i go quote you till you go tire,i dont talk what i dont know,OVER AND OUT.

Mr sabi sabi. I don't need to waste my time yesterday on you. I just needed to rest and today was also busy for me hence the late reply.

Even this night, I was about doing something elsbefore I saw my mention.

However, can you please tell me your definition of 'successful players' before I answer your question. Because I want to be direct in my response. Thanks

Oga, I have followed the progress of Nigerian born players all over Europe for decade and this was what led me to know about David Amoo, Raheem Sterling, Jordan Ibe and Sheyi Ojo at Liverpool. This is the reason I can state emphatically that Sheyi Ojo has progressed positively.

How many games has he played for Liverpool? 8 premier-league games in half season because he was ruled out for 1 full season. GBAM!

Now, what happened within these three seasons?

The first season, he was making the bench at 17 and he was already part of the first team before he was loaned out in the middle of the season. GBAM

Oga, Sheyi Ojo already already broke into Liverpool's first team at 17. GBAM.

Due to the fact that he was above the academy at 17 and he wasn't going to get game time with the first team due to obvious reasons, Liverpool decided to send him on loan at the middle of the season to championship.

How many 17 years old be starter for Championship?

Yes! He made his debut at 17 in first professional career in the Championship. GBAM!

The second season,, there was a new coach who doesn't know Joseph hence the need to loan him out to the
Championship again. The same new coach saw a liverpool-fc player doing wonders in the Championship and decided to recall him from loan. GBAM

Sheyi Ojo made his debut for Liverpool at 18. GBAM

11 matches with 4 assists and a goal was enough to earn him a preseason the next season but injury ruled him out for months. GBAM

Let us use our brain to think for once.

I repeat, he was injured for months. In short, he was not fit after he came back though he was drafted back to the first time before he was sent to Under 23 to gain fitness but unfortunately for him Liverpool don go buy players because they are fighting for EPL crown. GBAM.

Who are the better players better than him in SE? ..

Bhuuuhahaha! Look at this one telling me what is the big deal about winning U20 team World cup. He has forgotten he bragged about how Iheanacho worked his way to the top through U17.

Did Iheanacho also performed in the U20? Has Nigeria ever won U20? If it's not a big deal, we for dey win am every 2 - 2 years. Bhuuuhahaha!

If you are blind to see the article that clearly showed EPL wanted to buy him then sorry, I can't help you.

At least, you have been proven wrong that no EPL team came for him. That's the koko. Bhuuuhahaha! grin

So, that 'according to you' doesn't make sense.

Many UK players are overated according to you but many Nigerian players can't enter the top 20 of the few players UK ever produced. Fact. GBAM.

Who is even our best now?

Can he be listed in the top 10 players produced by UK?

Open your eyes. Mr man. The world doesn't end in your backyard. grin

did you say one viral foul like that on Sane? That is a career-threatning, life ban worthy foul. The guy's studs were clearly showing and the second foot was off the ground, red card everyday of the week. Matuidi's case was a case of a body check with a stamp on the ankle.

Ok let me give you a simple assignment. Stand erect with you foot firmly on the ground, then let someone stamp you on the ankle, your leg wouldn't even come close to twisting. But if you are about to move your leg and someone stamps on it, you will twist your leg and get injured.

Now had it been that Onazi's leg was on the ground firmly this wouldn't even be a niggle, and nobody would even say yellow card, but within the split second that Onazi raised his foot off the ground, the whole scenario has changed. As a ref, you cannot say that MATUIDI deserves a red card because ONAZI moved his leg at the last minute. These are things that happen in split seconds which opposing players cannot help at all
What is this person saying?? Was the ball even at Onazi's feet to start with??

Have you ever been subjected to a physically malevolent and potentially fatal tackle/attack of this magnitude??

Just listen to yourself!

. Leicester coach is actually clueless. There is no hype here, the young man is still proving himself. Strangely he's playing a 3-5-2 formation. he should have used Iheanacho over both Vardy and Diabetes in this formation. He needs to watch Arg vs Nig to see the tool he got on him. let's hope this crowded midfield doesn't backfire.
If Vardy was Nigerian, you wouldn't have said this nonsense. There's being patriotic and there's being plain bias.
