Overhyped? No one has ever overhyped him here.

I'm still finding it hard to understand what's going on with him.

Dessers has 7goals in 20games and most of it came as a substitute... His team's highest goal scorer has 10goals in 23games as a regular starter.

Dude once scored 2goals in a game and was back to the bench the following.

I don't think his bench role is down to Quality. Something is fishy... and I began to notice this after he declared to play for Nigeria.
Nice points. But is the suspected acrimony towards him from the coach really possible? Even if he has to overlook his performances of any magnitude.

somehow:
Their words against his or were you expecting something romantic from them?

Their system wasn't working for 25 years, he came to change things and you expect those who met there to be happy with him?

Use the case of NEPA and the new guys that took over, did you not witness the tumor between NEPA workers and the new guys. Blackmail, propoganda and ramblings happened because the old guys wouldn't let go without a fight. People just don't fancy strong headed leaders.

All the same, if the owners of fortuna believe he lied against them, they should sue him to court since they still owe him.

You my friend are just seeing what you want to see.

Oliseh is a brilliant tactician, nobody is denying that and it's surprising to me that you want to relate the performance of the team entirely to his arrogance and not his tactical inputs.

They haven't won anything in 25 years, where is he now? His tactics kept him this long in the job but there's just so much people can tolerate from an overbearing-arrogant-a$$ who's largely untested and sense of entitlement unreasonable.

People resigned their jobs because they found him "impossible to work with"

And just as I said before : Oliseh can only succeed at a team where he has the controlling share of the club, triples as the sporting director, technical Director and the coach, since he's someone who always wants to be seen as right.

He wants others to change for him and not the other way round. You working with a large pool of employees made up of different backgrounds, psyche as a leader you have to compromise if you want to go far.

well, this I can't say authoritatively. My presumption was only based on close observation.

For a player who is good as a top striker and plays well too on wings, I expect him to be a regular starter with the numbers he keeps churning out even with less playing time.

This was a guy playing in the dutch division II. He was instrumental to NAC BREDA promotion last season...

At first, I thought he won't be able to cut it at the elite league. But he has gone on to score few goals despite the limited chances given to him...

Before you run down the league, don't forget it is in the same league our own Ebuehi too is.

hmmm... I'm getting more concerned with about this guy's career.

This isn't good for a young player's career.

The rate in which Wolfsburg keeps changing their coaches is worrisome. Mercauley Chrisantus pointed it out. It was the reason he attributed to his poor development as a player.
I remember that he warned young talented Nigerians to stay off the club.

Schmidt has just began to give Osihmen some playing time and now his gone...

I am afraid!

I'm actually surprised you mentioned Obi and Ogbeche.

komekn:

I agree with you.

My assertion is ambiguous and even misleading.

When I say we have not been adventurous and stuck with the same set of players. My main focus is player consideration we are not looking at a wide enough set of players.

Furthermore I have doubts particularly with youth players who have done nothing in the game to be considered.

Then add to that players who are in backwater leagues but are not outstanding in those leagues to justify consideration.

New isn't necessarily better and either is younger. Irrespective of age, but the main consideration should be present current performance and form.

That's why I called for Obagoal to be tried tested and if found to have qualities to offer, selected. The same goes for Aluko, Obi, H.Akpan, Ogbeche, etc Who are putting up good performance in thier club sides. In this regard the pool for selection consideration is not expansive enough.

Ikouwem Udoh, young player of 2017 or 2018?
Is this not a 2017 award? Who knew Ikouwem last year?

You know this!! When hardwork jams talent things just be super smooth for you.
Osinmeh is obviously young, instead this could be a tool in his amory, changing coaches dosent mean he should stop developing as a striker, plenty managers in your career should ensure you have a wide variety of playing systems and tactics he should know a bit! Meaning he can adapt easily to various playing styles and also have more in thier locker than the normal person. it works for the very best of players it's just the orientation.
The boy has the right orientation as a striker and as a young man, maybe why rorh likes him so much. He would go far with his head on the ground and enormous believe in himself.

Firstly, why will he not end up like Chrisantus, what is the difference between them.

In comparison there was more expectation on Chrisantus after his accolades at the U17 World cup.

Chrisantus played in the Bundesliga 1& 2 and struggled to get a real consistent run of games.

Furthermore Chrisantus is still playing football at a decent level even if we have forgotten him. He is still just only 27 years old.
