Ironically, the states that are viciously objecting to S.P are those that are always prone to barbaric inter-ethnic violence. Obviously, there are States that are overripe for State Police in Nigeria, FG should use them as a pilot scheme to test run the proposal.

Can someone tell me how long after the kidnap ops started did the military get to know about it? ISR should have been deployed immediately. IMO, first response should have been immediate deployment of ISR platform. Later deployment means we will need additional Intel especially HUMINT which may not be readily available.

In as much as I praise the Nigerian military for their action and grounds towards ISWAP and BHT, it's no doubt that they really flopped. An abduction will either lead to a SWAP or ransom except you're willing to make them a statistics of collateral damages.
