Please I'm trying to write a short story and I'll like to be asking you guys some questions

Like who is in charge of the battle tank?

Who leads the team to war, in terms of rank?

In the Nigeria army, when a soldier is sent to war how does he break the news to his family?

How many aircrafts the Nigerian air force currently has ?

Or is there a story about the Nigeria army you can link me to

Thanks, Cheers. Nafisa Abdullahi

My brother is in a good position to answer these questions but he isn't on NL.

Okay.
1. There's usually a tank commander.

2. There's a chain of command in the military w/ the president as the C in C and the Chief of defense staff right under w/ the Chief of Army, Navy and Air Force right underneath.

3. No idea but if you're writing a story make it dramatic.

4. Nigeria currently has 110 aircraft in it's inventory.

5. There's usually lack of interest in the military in Nigeria so I expect this to be very rare.

Have a nice day, Barineh.

During African missions, the French soldiers meet regularly, in the middle of nowhere, former colonial soldiers who fought for French freedom during WWII.

For every MBT; there is the tank commander.

Depending on whether they are in an armored unit, or a cavalry unit. A Tank Company has three platoons of three-four tanks each, with two additional tanks in the HQ platoon, for a total of 14 tanks.

Which rank leads an army to a war....

That question is somehow complex to answer.

Let's site an example here in Nigeria; we have the theatre commander who is usually a one or two star general and division commanders who are usually one or two star generals.

I'll answer your question by saying either a brigadier gen or Major General can lead an army into war; like the north east war against terrorism.

For the numbers of aircraft NAF has I guess you check Wikipedia, although it's not that accurate but you get a picture of what you are looking for.

To your last question, if I get you right. When a soldier is K.I.A who breaks the news to the family.

That I can't answer....... grin

Thank you sir, basically the story is about a soldier that his more engrossed with work than home. He went for a war and lost all his team mates in an explosion, he was severely injured because he was in the tank during the explosion. He suffered from mental disorder. He hallucinates about going back and fighting to complete the mission (which was to capture a town captured by boko haram)

An officer in command or SNCO is in charge.

A two Star General is currently leading operation lafiya dole
As per breaking the news it depends, As for me I told my twin sister during my first deployment to the Delta but the second one to the North East was immediate. I went to work normally on Wednesday morning, found my self rolling into Borno on Thursday and by Saturday BH were in my gun sight. There was no time to inform anyone.

These armoured Bulldozers have been in Nigeria for a while at least a year they were bought for mine clearing operations.

I saw them being transported on low bed trucks out of Lagos along LA-IB express couple of months ago. About 4-5 in the convoy I saw.
