These are the real Mr Project of the South south, that despite constructing roads, still have the drive of attracting both local and foreign investors to the state. As evidence in the spring up of industries that great sustainable jobs more than what road construction does. Not like the present administration of Rivers state where there is no tangible results of both local and foreign investors attraction in the state and it claims project embarked state of mostly street roads. No single industry the govt can claim it has attracted to Rivers instead investors are seriously avoiding the state . Good work from Akwa Ibom state, keep it up 4 Likes |

AmTruth: Am from Akwa Ibom but you know all of us in the South South look at PH as our head qtrs. Like the west look to Lagos. I must disagree with you here, I think Wike is doing a fantastic job. He is opening up Rivers and building roads to rural communities just like Udom is doing. Rivers already has more companies than most states in Nigeria exception of lagos. Trans Amadi alone beats most states. What rivers state needs is what wike is doing beautifying the state and building roads for those industries already there which Amaechi failed to do. Have you driven on elelwon road of recent? wike is gradually giving the state the feel of a mega city it deserves. I love wike he is very popular here in Akwa ibom, I love Udom too. 5 Likes |

I think His Excellency has done something worth encouraging, but let him not forget about the 1,500 teachers left out of the previous recruitment exercise ,so he can land well. |

Atouke:I would not like to say I feel ashamed of you mentioning that what Rivers state needs is roads, what a view? And for industrialisation, you mentioned Lagos with more companies but despite that we still have the state keep attracting industries and still building roads also,as for Rivers how many high employing company exist here,I can mentioned them. The Sabmiller grand brew in oginigba, eleme petrochemical, indomie in choba, notore in onne, refinery, olam in town and ongoing Greenville oil and gas . Am not talking about SMES ,others are oil servicing company which most of there operations are coordinated from Lagos. Transamadi you mentioned most of the companies are moribund, you talk of Michelin,Rivoc,New engineering works, west Africa glass industries, just to mention few. Development of a state is far far beyond road construction Akwaibom has free education Rivers state don't have, Akwaibom create job opportunity in the civil service Rivers state don't and so many others. And what you said Rivers people want is road. be fair to us 5 Likes |

AmTruth: I like to speak with figures go to NBS and look up Rivers state. After Lagos the most viable state in Nigeria is rivers facts dont lie. if Wike is doing such a terrible job why is rivers state economy 2 in the country? please put sentiment aside. I didnt say roads are the only thing rivers need. i said he is making the state more liveable, part of a place being liveable is infrastructure. roads is part of them. now there is a pleasure park where families can relax. the biggest mall in west africa will open in portharcout in a few months time. Recently portharcout hosted the African wrestling championship, that attracted the world attention. it was successful. the world is taking note that the place is safe for business, those little things count. |

I happily join to show the other side of Akwa Ibom. The pictures below also indicate the "sterling" performance of Emmanuel Udom. This is Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Nto Osung, Ekpenyong Atai 1, Essien Udim LGA. It is owned by the government of Akwa Ibom State. The school has been abandoned to nature for decades. Children in their hundreds study here. Let the pictures speak:
