The Epl and Championship where the whole of England squad play in... What has been achievement of the English national team for so long a time spanning over 5 decades now in international football.? undecided

Which nation won the U17 and U20 World cups with if I may add a large number of Nigerian origin players

England will not win the world cup they are simply not good enough. However, there is no top 10 FIFA rated team that doesn't have a considerable number of players in the EPL.

The EPL is the most truly international football league in the world. It may be based in England bit the players ate not overwhelmingly English. That should answer your question.

Indeed the top performing players in the SE have come from the EPL

Iwobi playing selfish up front, but defensively normal. dispossessed several times that have the Watford team very good counter attacking chances which they haven't utilized so far. Elneny controlling that midfield to me. Egypt better qualify from their World Cup group.

Alex Iwobi returns to the starting line-up..... He starts for Arsenal against Watford.
I hope he gets a better 2nd half. unconvincing to me so far. prefers to shoot at goal from the wing than cross into the box. That is not a way to play with a team that's so far having a bad record...

Samuel kalu who plays for Gent the Club of Moses Simon I don't know if any one is following that player but the boy is improving everyday by day,24 Belgium league games 5 goals and 7 assists, and mind you he plays from the right flank while Moses Simon played the left flank for Gent, just saying, the boy is improving everyday by day, people are not keeping an eye on the boy from this thread, they rather keep eye on sareen bazee who is never fit or some others oyinbo players who is yet to pledge future to super eagles

I think tbaba knows about Samuel kalu

the first bolded is debatable because if they were lots of mid table german, spanish and even italian clubs would swoop on them but isnt the case.

on the second bolded that isnt always the case..eg james rodriguez

on the price of sum on these player whether fringe or academy we have to admit there is lots of money in english footbal down to the lower leagues so much so that is some sort of inflation that affects player transfer fees and wages

You almost answer your own question ❓ with regard to why other European teams do not swoop for these players.

First reason is the money there are kids in top EPL academies on £20k a week, most clubs in Europe will not pay that kind of money for an untested player largely.

Second reason is the premiership may be the the most competitive and physically taxing it's not the most technical. Some of the players may not suit the more technically based football on mainland Europe. Just the the same way a lot of European players struggle in the EPL.

but the English national team....where all their players play in the epl....still can't go beyond the world cup quarter final....
a country still getting walloped by lowly costa Rica and Iceland....

it probably means the epl is not truly up to the level you try say here....or the English players are merely average players at their best....

what you have to say?

What he is saying is that no one is calling for his invitation, cos I have also observed him too, the guy is good and should be looked into, unfortunately that winger area is too competitive right now.

Uzoho Keeps 11th Clean Sheet In Deportivo Fabril Win

Nigerian international goalkeeper Francis Uzoho kept his 11th clean sheet of the season for Real Deportivo Fabril who defeated Navalcarnero 1-0 Sunday’s Segunda Division B (Spanish third tier) league game on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Borja Galan scored the only goal of the encounter for Real Deportivo Fabril in the seventh minute.

Uzoho has also been beaten 11 times in 17 league games this season.

The 19-year-old is one of the three goalkeepers invited to Nigeria’s squad for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia later this month.

Real Deportivo Fabril are now fourth in the table with 50 points from 29 games.
They face Guijuelo at home in their next game on the 18th of March.

Unlike u controversial biased guy, I love English bred Nigerian stars as much as I love their counterparts all over the world. I just hate it when u and komekn put down the locally bred stars just to make ur English boys look like demigods.

I'm following most of these anglonigerian kids possibly better than u do. I must say, Onyedinma has impressed me, Bright Enobakhare too but u won't see me here over hyping them like u do. I can only report of their progress as I report of ipalibo, chukwueze etc. I was so hapi Ademola left England for Germany too bkus I blv leaving his comfort zone(England) will give us a chance of capping him.

I can go on and on...

Controversial to only those who believe they are better.

Iheanacho: I Waited So Long For My First Leicester EPL Goal, Now I Want More

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho is looking towards scoring more goals for Leicester City in the English Premier League after he broke his duck in the Foxes’ 4-1 win over West Brom on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Iheanacho came on for Shinji Okazaki on the hour mark and made an instant impact, providing an assist for Riyad Mahrez to make it 2-1 three minutes later.

The 21-year-old went on score his first league goal for the club with a header.
The goal was his first for the club after 15 league games this season and his first in the EPL in 14 months.

Iheanacho last scored an EPL goal in the colours of Manchester City on December 26, 2016 against Hull City.

“It’s was a good game, we worked hard and it was a brilliant performance from the team,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV.

“I waited so long for this goal and I’m happy I scored. I look forward to more goals in the next games.”

You are the one who says they induce their call ups na. So why don't you test your proposition by advising your players of choice to do same and see if that's the criteria with which players get invited.

As for corruption, you have no idea. So when I see you going on about corruption when your players are not invited I just laugh. Don't let me start going deep. Nigeria is corrupt but when you make that accusation when your players are not invited it's annoying in a funny way especially since this current team is full of good players.

If you really have an iota idea, you wouldn't have given that advice.

How can you go deep?

I do not need to ask coz it's obvious. You don't want him get injured while repping the Club that's paying him week in week out because of the World Cup - once in 4 Years Competition?!

You should be happy he's getting Minutes on the Pitch week in week out, Coz he's gonna get fitter and sharper, and the Form gonna be a huge Bonus to the Eagles in Russia.

If he loses his Shirt in the starting XI while not featuring on every Match Day, will you be happy?! We should be encouraging the Lads to be getting Minutes, instead looking for flimsy Excuse to justify their non-inclusion in the starting XI or Match Day Squad.

of course we ain't gonna loose kalu to any nation...but you see bazee, eze, deji etc should we act slow we may loose them to their birth nations....

Super Eagles MO: Joel Obi Will Come For Friendlies; ADO Den Haag Yet To Contact NFF WRT Ebuehi

Published: March 11, 2018
Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye has played down speculations over the availability of Joel Obi for the upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia, saying the Torino midfielder is not injured and it was only a tactical decision by manager Walter Mazzarri to omit him from the squad vs Roma.
Ibitoye says it's also news to him that ADO Den Haag defender Tyronne Ebuehi is an injury doubt for the two friendlies against the European teams as the Dutch club have not yet informed the Nigerian Federation that the player has pulled out of the squad after he picked up an injury in the Eredivisie clash against NAC Breda on Saturday.
''We will wait for official notification because normally when you invite a player and he is not able to come because of injury the doctor of the club will write to the NFF that the player is injured,'' Ibitoye told
allnigeriasoccer.com .
''They will send the details of the injury to confirm that he can't make it. We will wait for official confirmation from Tyronne's club.
''For Joel, he is okay, we still got in touch with him yesterday. He was just rested for their last game. He is fine, he has sent in his travel itinerary so we are expecting him to come.
''For Tyronne we hope it's not something serious. We hope he will be able to come, we wait for official word from the club doctor to know whether he's in or not.''
Joel Obi has not featured for the national team for close to four years due to concerns about his fitness, while Ebuehi has always made the squad in the last one year, apart from the World Cup qualifier against Zambia last

Yet to see much of the bazee,he has not played much senior games in his career, let see him play when he is injury free then we can conclude, the boy is still young and fresh
