I'm so happy this our 'easy' draw, go pepper Real madrid and their fans for body.... This is what they almost always enjoy and they win the UCL. Lesson is that you dont have to play the very best to win the ucl. Sometimes, luck will smile on you and you can get things easier than the others and you win. Let's see how our luck will play out. At least, it would take us a little less energy to beat Roma than we would would have needed to beat any of those other teams .

I'd expect you to bring the season by season stats to buttress your point.

But you wouldn't.

For example, CR7 scored once in his first 21 champions league games with Sporting Lisbon/Manchester Utd as a winger/midfielder. Messi scored once in his first 9 games with Barca playing beside Ronaldinho, Xavi, and Iniesta; after training since 13 at La Masia.

Take 21 and 9 from their total number of games played and look how different the stats look.
