Pls for the visa application do I need to get an official transcript from my school? I dey vex o! Or should I use the soft copy tho not signed on. That I have in my phone. It's still transcript now. I used it to apply for admission. The stress is too much! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 6:31am On Mar 17, 2018 |
megapixels: We have seen a guy here denied for having an EE application. The VO pointed to that application as evidence that he won't depart Canada in as much as he argued otherwise. Age too can be an issue as you are not the traditional school age. That would make VOs doubt your purpose of visit, but the onus is on you to argue that your intention is to be a genuine stident. Since you have filed an EE application, I will advice you make your ties to Nigeria stronger than ever. Land, asset, family, marriage certificate, etc. PGD too is a giveaway, I will advice a masters degree to stand stronger chance of prevailing. Do the needful hardwork of applying and getting into a masters if you have good GPA. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 6:35am On Mar 17, 2018 |
JoseJonn: Not official one Josephine, an official one would mean it's in a sealed envelope, which we all know nothing in a sealed envelope is accepted. Soft copy is good as long as it is signed and stamped. Please submit your application, it's way overdue. Best wishes!! |

Asapant:Asapant, This is good. Endeavor to request for your university official envelope, make sure you enclose your transcript inside and sealed it. Then send it via courier. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 12:11pm On Mar 17, 2018 |
Asapant: Directly sent from the issuing institution is what makes transcripts official, not the stamp on them which some people can falsify. Even one sent by you in a sealed envelope from your school, in many schools, is often rejected. Postage on envelope has to bear the name of the city your school is located and meet to other official parameters. Ps: if you are just applying, they will take an unofficial transcript you upload to them online. However, after admission is granted, to validate the admission, they need official transcript directly from your school sent through snail mail. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by WEIRDPC(m): 12:15pm On Mar 17, 2018 |
Asapant: Hi Asapant, Dont take unnecessary risk. Simply go to your school, request for your official transcript and let them send it through courier to the school youre applying to. You will pay for the courier service and the transcript request. But it will be money well spent, instead of just sending a copy that was given to you by the school. There is a difference between student copy and official copy of the transcript. Your prospective school explicitly asked for the later. Kindly request for it. Regards jnyuwa02: i Couldn't agree more. |

jnyuwa02: I agree with this. If your friend had already submitted the PR application, that is one thing (this happened to me). But he hasn't even applied for PR yet. They should focus on getting the student visa. 1 Like |

Hi guys I am just applying, I'm on the web page of the school, this is what I need clarification about. Whether during applying, my transcript should be sent directly to the school I'm applying to by my school or it's after they've evaluated the one sent by me via online. then they request for official transcript which will be sent by the school . |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by WEIRDPC(m): 1:21pm On Mar 17, 2018 |
Asapant: Different schools have different policy. Some request for the official transcript from the onset while others request for the official transcript after you have gained admission. you need to understand what is written on the school page. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 4:08pm On Mar 17, 2018 |
faroouqq: I won't help you falsify a claim. If your uncle is really sponsoring you, the reason should come effortlessly on why he wants to expend so much financial resources on you. One applicant I know who got approved and sponsored by uncle, was believable because there was evidence of past academic support coming from the same uncle, the uncle mentioned he has noticed academic promise in this person and taken a liking for him like his own very child and wants to support him where his parents are not financially buoyant to do so. The uncle believes in his future promise and wants to support such promise. 1 Like |
