tbaba1234: for me i want us to test a 4-4-4 or 3-5-2 this formation are good for counter attacking football, since we have young guys whom are quick, fast, and energetic i think it would be to our advantage ..... Against Argentina the back three of the argetines just could not cope with the speed at which Nigeria move from defense to offence. This formation is good for counter attacking football we have the youngest squad so it should be to our advantage.... 4-4-2 ............. Uzoho ............... .. Shehu Ekong Balogun/Omeruo Idowu .. V.Moses Ndidi Onazi/Ogu Iwobi/S Moses ........ ... ........... Ighalo Ihenacho ................ 3 - 5 - 2 ...................... ... Ekong Balogun Omeruo Ebuehi........ . ................. V.Moses .. .............. Ndidi Onazi/Ogu .. .............. J.Obi ........ . ihenacho Ighalo/Iwobi I honestly Do not want us to play a 4-3-3 in the world cup, the formation works when you have a wonderfull front 3 like liverpool, Madrid and they are usually not good defensively, although its also a good counter counter attacking formation but the, defensive disvadvantages imight be too costly.... Omeruo is way better than balogun in recent form, but because of the partnership ekong and balogun has formed ROHR might not want to disrupt it.... |

tbaba1234: Playing a 3-5-2 against Poland is us committing suicide. They have two fast wingers with Lewandoski waiting in the centre to profit. 4 at the back for me is the way to go. Shehu and Idowu (Ebuehi and Echiejele or aina) have a lot of work to do. If we are able to nullify their wing play, then the game is ours for the taking. They will resort to long balls but the draw back is they don't have a player who can deliver quality long balls. Poland is light weight in midfield. Our joker in this match is Victor Moses. His licence to roam and unpredictability will be to our advantage in this game. Mikel's calmness in midfield will be missed. A true test for us. I expect us to pass this test. |

adrainuche: Awaziem was very solid against Argentina and is playing very well in the french league.. His pace will be useful against Lewandowski who is deceptively very fast. He is an excellent Man marker. If you need a man marking job done on Lewandowski, he is the man. Balogun has been playing regularly so i expect a sharper Balogun if he starts. Omeruo has been on good form apart from his last game. He can replace Balogun if we feel that we need more pace at the back. If we play three men at the back, i think Awaziem must start. He is the best passer of all the CBs. Counter attacking will be key... They are playing at home and will want to attack.. Our pace can catch them off guard. 1 Like |

Truidstar: 3-5-2 often translate to 5 3 2 while defending... But you need fast wing back who can contribute on either end.. Ebuehi and Idowu will be my favorites for this kind of set up. 7 Likes 1 Share |

According to thenff.com, Victor Moses is part of the 22 players in camp Eagles begin training as 22 players hit camp The Super Eagles’ Radisson Blu Hotel camp in Wroclaw has become a beehive of activities following the arrival of 22 players and the beginning of training sessions on Tuesday. Technical and backroom staff, alongside six players, opened the camp on Monday, but the facility exploded into life with the arrival of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defenders Kenneth Omeruo, Elderson Echiejile, Stephen Eze, Abdullahi Shehu and Chidozie Awaziem, midfielders Joel Obi, John Ogu, Ogenyi Onazi, Uche Agbo and Wilfred Ndidi, and forwards Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Moses on Tuesday. Nigeria –based goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and South Africa –based Daniel Akpeyi are expected on Wednesday. Skipper Mikel John Obi is unlikely to make it to Wroclaw as he has been working hard at renewing his work permit in China, where he plays for Tianjin Teda. Team Administrator Dayo Enebi Achor told thenff.com on Tuesday: “We all had been hoping that the renewal would come in good time for him to fly to Poland. As it is now, it is not likely that he would make the trip.” Midfield Trojan Oghenekaro Etebo is injured, and Egypt –based Junior Ajayi, who was unable to secure visa into Poland, will fly directly to London for Tuesday’s clash with Serbia at The Hive, Canons Park. The team trained twice on Tuesday, with the same schedule for Wednesday, before Thursday’s training at match time inside the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw. The match kicks off at 8.45pm (Nigeria and Poland are on same time zone) on Friday. Friday’s showdown inside the 43,000 –capacity stadium formally opens the first phase of the Super Eagles’ preparation for the 21stFIFA World Cup finals, taking place in the Russian Federation 14th June – 15th July this year. After Tuesday’s game with Serbia in London, the three-time African champions will play a Send –Forth match against the Democratic Republic of Congo in Nigeria, before flying back to London for a prestige clash England’s Three Lions at Wembley on 2nd June. Four days later, they come up against the Czech Republic at their final training camp in Austria, and another friendly game is on the cards before the squad jets out to the World Cup finals on 11th June. Nigeria’s team base camp at the 21st FIFA World Cup finals is located in Yessentuki, Stavropol territory in the southern region of the Russian Federation. |

Kog45: Ezenwa should be on the bench because of his performance in a game they won 3-2? Have you seen the highlights of the game? We better just focus on Ezenwa and Uzoho and leave Akpeyi out of it. He had his chance to prove but screwed it up. 3 Likes |

Please I want to start chasing the black goat by the day time. Is Super sports or AIT or NTA going to show the Poland Vs Nigeria game? If not any of these which other stations will show it? I had to endure the Argentina friendly using one of those online streams. But trust Nigeria's network and their frustrations. |

Uzoho surely will start, I'm nor sure the other goal keepers are in camp already, even if they are in camp he should get a start, we need to see him more. In the defends I will go for Leon balogun and Awasiem, we have never seen Leon partner any of the other defenders before, although I think Omeruo is a better defender to Awasiem, Echiejile and Idowu need to get 45 minute each, whoever start is no problem tactically and last spot in the defense should be taken by Shehu for obvious reasons. The midfield with absent of the midfield General Mikel should avoid much changes so we dont loose the cohesion and continuity, a flat midfield 3 of Onazi, Ndidi and Ogu we can also experiment with an iwobi playing in the number 10 role and yes he is comfortable there too. Ighalo should get a nod to start in the middle and flanked by Moses and Iwobi. Uzoho shehu........Awaziem........Balogun...........Idowu ......... .... Ndidi................Onazi ........................... Ogu ........... .. Iwobi............Ighalo...........Moses *4-3-3* is just a friendly, losing now won't hurt rather it will help us more |

With mikel absent for the poland game, I foresee us playing out a draw because we'll be lacking creativity and maybe someone to inspire confidence. |
