so many typographical errors in the question. endeavour to be proofreading the questions (most especially, mathematics) before giving it out to students

Grade 6/7 work for Lebanese international school and Indian community school and some other foreign schools in Lagos. Their ages are less than 12 years. Our local schools need to push up more.

Not that bad for ss1. If they studied well they should be able to get them all right. And it even has options.

Tough for SS 1 students? Abi the issue is you don't know mathematics. You need to see the questions I set for my JSS 2 students when I served in Kaduna not to talk of SS 2. My best student in JSS 2 will solve these problems with a minimum score of 80%.

His name is Barnabas Asher, I pray he achieves his dream of becoming an aeronautic engineer.... That boy is damn good.

Hehehe, what oversabi? Just say you haven't meet brilliant students, and for crying out loud, those questions can be solved successfully by a Junior school student, Year 2 and 3. Is it not simplify, find x, subject of the formula I am seeing?

See this one. This is for JSS3 students. If you see S. S 1 question in my area, you will run. Even J. S. S 2 question is hard. 30 objective questions and five theory part. I will post some of the questions tomorrow for you to compare.

A JSS2 not even JSSIII scoring a "minimum" of 80% in this exam is of a very low probability like 0.000005647 grin

The questions look simple but what about the time factor? It says much.

But not all.

I think it's tough for an ss1 student in art or science class.
Saying a Jss can score 80% is a No-no No

Just be retrospective, asking you to read A-Z is a cinching thing to do but tell someone in baby Class, it might be like a tough nut to crack.

The higher we go in learning, the easier some things can be for us.
I can remember when we were taught Maclaurin and Taylor's series, the first day it was hard, not just the day but that week. Now, when I look back, I just laugh because it seems veeerry easy.

Why is it easy to me now? It is because I have passed that level and I am confronted with more complex questions.
I hope u get what I am trying to allude.
It looks simple to you, but it might be a convoluted question for them because they are still inexperienced.
Adios

If you give "some teachers" these questions, they may forget how to write their names

Lol, I know what I am saying, wait till you meet a very smart student. If you check New General Mathematics for JSS 2, you will know that almost all the topics to which those questions given by the OP are been treated in that book. A smart JSS 2 student will do excellently well in that exam, don't look at the class required to answer the questions but look at the questions. Simplify, find x, standard form, ratio, quadrilaterals, subject of the formula etc. Maybe he MIGHT not score up to 80% but I am certainly sure he will have an A.

Talking about the time, this is just 25 objective questions and I am certain section B can't be more than 5 questions with maybe some 1 and 11. That exam should not be more than 1 hour for a senior school student. In the school I served, junior school students are given 60 objective questions and 3 theories with some 1 and 11 for 1hr 30minutes.

What are you saying? Time allowed is 1hr 30mins. Its enough and a jss2/Jss3 student will blast it

Go back to New general mathematics for jss, you ll see those questions there
