Suspicious. It seems like a premeditated move.
Premeditated? How? Jeeeeez what sort of person are you. I guess you are the kind of person who suspects that your neighbour is trying to poison you or bewitch you.

JORDON IBE has been offered the chance to turn his back on England and play for Nigeria at the World Cup.

The London-born winger, who qualifies through his dad, is being eyed by the Super Eagles ahead of the big kick-off in Russia.

Ibe, 22, was contacted by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) for an initial conversation about his international prospects while a teenager at Liverpool.

The NFF made contact again shortly after his move from Liverpool to Bournemouth for £15million in 2016.

However, the youngster wanted to fully focus on settling into life under Eddie Howe at the Vitality.

He never closed the door on one day representing Nigeria at senior level.

Ibe has not ruled out forcing his way into Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions set up.

But Nigeria want to fast-track him into their squad.

The attacker has starred for England from Under-18 to Under-21 level.

After a tough first season on the South Coast, Ibe has enjoyed a good run of form recently and starred in the wins against Chelsea and Stoke.

TARGET MEN Arsenal, Bournemouth, Brighton and BurnleYy, players who should be bought in this summer including Alban Lafont and Gary Cahill
Ibe was on target for the Cherries in Saturday’s win at home against West Brom.

But Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has dangled the carrot of a World Cup in front of Ibe at the end of the season, and it is an offer being taken seriously.

Ibe has made 27 league appearances scoring two goals with six assists this season and has played a key role in Bournemouth’s charge into the Premier League top ten.

Meanwhile former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison is to hold talks about representing Jamaica at senior level.

The 25-year-old currently with Mexican outfit Atlas was capped by England at several youth levels and won four Under-21 caps.

Hmmmmm! That's a good one. grin

That one case done tire me , mind game is a very useful tool in football for coaches that mastered the art.

Coach Rohr got some real skills in this art of playing mind game. These big boys team/countries will be surprised after the heavy hit they will receive. They will not give you the Attention you really deserve if you play with their minds. They will feel relaxed on till you hit them below the belt. If we fail, he has already downplayed the expectation from fans so won't get much critics for failing.

He knows what he is doing.

But aside that, l think there's an element of truth to Rohr's speech. ln the nineties we had Finidi, Taribo, Kanu, etc who all played in top clubs, but the bulk of our players this time are from average teams, and so the strength of this team in comparison to the 1998 squad especially is in the efficient team work, moreso than in the individuality of the players. We have good players in this team that can do better than those in the era of the nineties, but we do not have so many well known established players in the top flight football of Europe like we had in the nineties or early 2000's.
Only Iwobi and Moses play for pretty decent clubs in my opinion.

Ogu to me is a short passes type of a player, not in the mold of Mikel and might not be able to play that role. To play such role, you need to have clear vision and the ability to read your colleague's next moves.

Iheanacho should be able to slot in, but the issue is, will he step up? Iwobi like you said too unserious for such role. The only other option is Joel.

Etebo doesn't know how to pass, he's better at dealing with loose balls.

please how is iwobi unserious?

It's amazing that he couldn't sniff what Rohr was about with that dissumulative talk. Which mumu coach that doesn't have Messi in his team will start hyping his team. Even Sampaoli plays down Argentina. I guess one see what one wants to see.

You are both right. Rohr said the truth, but he is also trying to downplay his team before the opponents and to reduce the high expectations from Nigerians, it's a way of relieving pressure from the team.

When I dey talk for here people think say I dey talk rubbish. Now, we are hearing from the horses mouth that the 90s set no dey d same level with dis set. They were better than this set but some people here wan blind eyes with mago mago sentiment. Here we are, Rohr has confirmed it. Hehehehe! grin

The second bolded is what I don dey hammer since but people here are too sentimental to see we don't have a striker in Kelechi Iheanacho and Ighalo(though I think he's).

If I said the same it would be termed mockery of our players. In addition to regarding all things English as being superior.
