Sir,Ebuehi's agent said too early for him to play for Nigeria, guess what waiting for dutch call now tell me what make it different from Iorfa.
Iorfa's Dad was an ex-international. This are the people who should be donating their children to Nigeria(even though this country ehn doesn't deserve such sometimes but it's our fatherland still) . Imagine if Kanu or Okocha say that their kids are too young to play for nigeria compared to an unknown Nigerian who is far from the workings of the NT who would you give the stick? My oga don't compare the two great coach.

Keshi is in the pinnacle of Nigeria football history as a great player and coach, remember Keshi won Afcon and qualified Nigeria for WC reaching 2nd round equating Westerhoff record.

Out of these achievements Rohr has just equate one which is WC qualification,so too early to compare the duo.

Keshi record is there for Rohr to beat so let's keep on watching and continue supporting our dear eagles for better outing at mundial.

you are contradicting your self, you ask him not to compare but you helped him compare, every era is different...

. Such a myopic idi*t Adeboye Amosu is. how could he say Balogun had a poor game against Poland. i suspect he didn't watch the match. Ebuehi has nothing to prove again, he is better than Shehu. Iheanacho an inconsistent performer in the international scene? Lawd, what brand of weed does this man smoke?

I am sorry to disagree with all of you, his review is spot on, Nacho was a flop, we still need to see more of Ebuehi to ascertain his better than shehu, though I know he will pass.

for Leon He was a little harsh on him but Leon has not been that good, we close our eyes to it, troost was doing all the interception and Leon was out of position, a moniker even said Leon played in the LB and another said we played a 352 formation. I know his fan favourite but he was obviously not at par with Ekong

Sir pls tell me the different between Iorfa and Ebuehi first statement on Nigeria invitation before he changed his mind.

Did we nail Ebuehi cos of that after he said yes to us,No but Iorfa saying yes if he get invitation is an issue now.

I know Iorfa is not on Rohr radar for now,if Rohr need him no issue he get him ASAP regardless of his father statement cos he didn't use Ebuehi earlier stance to deal with the young boy.

The truth is I doubt if Rohr himself want iorfa, Rohr wanted Ebuehi.

A little on Serbia ahead of #NGASRB....

Against Morocco, Serbia played a 4-3-3 with a midfield of Andrija Zivkovic, Nemanja Matic and Adem Ljajic. (I don't know about the availability of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic yet as he was not among the subs for the morocco friendly).

Their front three had Dusan tadic, Aleksander Mitrovic (the no.9) and Filip Tosic.

Their defence had Captain Kolarov as LB, Dusko Tosic and Nikola Maksimovic as CBs, and Dusan Basta as the RB.

Their strength obviously lie in their midfield and the threats of Tadic and Mitrovic upfront.

This game will be yet another challenge to test the ability of our midfield to cope admirably without our midfield generalissimo in Mikel.

The Serbian midfield of Matic-Zivkovic-Llajic is a solid core and when you consider that they still have a Milinkovic-Savic, that should tell you of Serbia's depth in that dept.

A Nigerian midfield of Ndidi, Joel and Ogu/Agu or Onazi, Ndidi, Joel should be able to match the Serbians' quality in the middle of the pack depending on what formation we choose (note that: the Moroccans adopted a 4-2-3-1 against Serbia in their 2-1 win with El-Ahmadi and Bossoufa as the double pivot and Hakim Ziyech as the no.10). There would be no Mikel, no Etebo and this game provides an interesting clash especially with the Ndidi Vs Matic midfield battle for supremacy bound to set tongues wagging wink

Uzoho is likely to get another start to build on his showing against Poland and he will be up against a Mitrovic-led attack. Mitrovic who is on loan from Newcastle to Fulham is a big striker that stands at 1.89m and will bring a huge amount of aerial threat too. Something Uzoho must be mindful of as he struggled with a bit of those whipped in aerial balls in the first half one of which led to that disallowed goal for Poland thanks to Balogun's quick clearance/reflex.

Ekong stands at an impressive height and should be able to cope with Mitrovic's aerial threat and he must develop key understanding with Uzoho so that both do not get entangled in the air when trying to put off Mitrovic's aerial threat.

From the wings, Serbia will likely present Filip Kostic of Hamburg from the left and Zivkovic of Benfica from the right... Dusan Tadic of Southampton in England who can play both wings is another option but could start alongside Matic and Llajic in midfield or it couod be Zivkovic in midfield and Tadic further forward on the right.
I expect the fullback options of Ebuehi and Idowu to cope just nicely against Kostic, Zivkovic/Tadic. Pace for pace, our fullbacks can match them but it will be a good battle.

Serbia's Kolarov is the biggest gun in their defence and he wipp play as the LB most likely and that will see him come against either Victor Moses. Kolarov's top level experience will be key for Serbia here but a potential duel with Nigeria's Victor Moses could be Kolarov's doom. In pace and power, I expect Victor to trump him and do so hard. Would be interesting to watch... grin

Dusan Basta of SS Lazio will likely play RB for Serbia and he would be up against Alex Iwobi or maybe Simon Moses...

Dusko Tosic and Nikola Maksimovic are likely to be their CBs if they start with a four man back line and our own Ighalo or Iheanacho will be up against it. Serbia could also call on Matija Nastasic, formerly of Man City and now with Schalke 04.

From set pieces, Mitrovic is not the only one we should keep am eye on. Matic's height and aerial presence is also one that can be utilized for the Serbs in such situations and like I have already pointed out, that Ekong and his defensive partner (Balogun is likely to be rested coz of a knock or could he start?) should be mindful and have a good communication flow with Uzoho in these situations.

Other names to look out for on the Serbian team are Marko Grujic and Old war horse, Branislav Ivanovic.

#NGASRB will be a cracker and that midfield battle will be key to it all. Another is the clinicality of both sides.
Serbia dominated proceedings in terms of possession, chances created, shots on target and direction of attacks, etc against Morocco but the Moroccans were more clinical even earning a penalty in their favor too which was converted.

My forecast: A draw or a Nigeria win.

Croatia's Modric picked up an injury and won't be playing Mexico. He didn't influence the game against Peru. We would skin them alive. Iceland looks more stubborn. Let's also get used to this new ball. The Germans are already so fast. Its part of the science of the game.

You all have been dragging this Iorfa's issue for a very long time now. Just for Iorfa, he is not better than any of the guys in the right back or left back positions. Even if he gets a call up from the SE handler, he might not make it to the pitch of play.

5 croatians were allowed to return to their clubs due to the original arrangement between country and club.. Croatia is playing in North America so i guess they do not want their players fatigued.

This is not a matter of partnership. There was no creative midfielder to feed Ighalo with the passes he requires as a CF. Iheanacho tthat was given the job failed to connect with Ighalo.

Iheanacho rwlly flopped in that match. Though he charged at the defenders but that isn't enough. He didn't perform his primary function. His problem is that he doesn't know how to dribble and get past defenders.

You deh talk like dis,

I have actually said this before, and TheGoodJoe totally disagreed with me, and of course the usual choristers supported various unsavoury notions about me.

This is a problem as a striker you need to be unpredictable, skill and inventiveness are intrinsically linked to the edge that unpredictability gives you.

The reality is people believe he is the best we have, he still an exceptional player but with quite a few things to learn to add to his abilities.

I have often wondered if we haf Obagoal who hasn't lost pace, but he is experienced and unpredictable will that not give us much needed added fire power upfront.

I thought Balogun had a very good game against Poland. The best, he has had since the Cameroon away leg. His sharpness appears to have returned.

If you watch the game again, you will realise how good he was.

In my opinion, Ekong and Balogun are still the best CB pairing for Nigeria. I will love to see Awaziem -Ekong again though.

I think, Iheanacho flopped in the role of linking the attack, Iwobi might have done a better job there instead of sticking him in the wings.

Before anyone can adapt to the style of playing that the Germans use, they have to use Boateng as serious case study.

I hope Jordan have this as the back of his mind. Adaptation isn't easy.

Better to take Nigeria that adaptation won't take half a year in a couple of games less than 10 and go on for glory, that join the Germans, show hot or cold, then get dropped cos of competition, and it would be too late to change.

I'm expecting a tough game against Serbia, they will act as a preparation for our game against Croatia, since they play somewhat alike. I need to see Junior Ajayi in this game, he could solve the no. 9 problem.

I would also love a friendly game against a South American opposition. If you notice, Nigeria plays well against European countries, but struggle against South American teams. Uruguay and Chile or Colombia would be great.

Nigeria Can Only Beat Croatia With Counter Attack – Coach

Tomislav Obradovic, the coach of Croatia national team, has revealed that the only way the Super Eagles could defeat his team when both sides meet at the 2018 World Cup in Russia would be through counter attacks, boasting that there is no way Nigeria could overcome them.

Both Nigeria and Croatia will go head-to-head at the Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad on June 16, 2018 and the coach is optimistic that they would see off Nigeria, saying that in the Super Eagles, there are several players in the team with the same characteristics.

Obradovic was coach of the Rwandan U-20 National Team for two and a half years, and he almost qualified the country for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Asked to compare Nigeria’s offensive players Iwobi and Chelsea’s Victor Moses, Obradovic told Sportske Novosti: “Compare all of them with their characteristics? Everyone is similar and quick, good within a group. But where are the world-class players?

“It’s probably quite enough, but as a team I do not think they have world-class quality. Why do I say that? They have too many players with the same characteristics.

“They cannot beat Croatia. Not in one segment of the game. Neither technical, tactical, nor organisational, nor in any sense.”

Tomislav Obradovic warned the Croatian team that Nigeria’s counter attack could be dangerous because they have fast players.
“The only way they can outsmart us is if they threaten us from the counterattack because they have such players, quick, fast.

“We have to hold the ball, wait and play our organised football because we are better, disciplined, stronger on the ball, better one on one,” Obradovic boasted.

What about onyekuru, say na super eagles appearance make Everton buy am ??

Agreed without question.

National team call up may give you exposure but you must perform. Otherwise Nuttin 4 U.

That's why the basis of call up MUST be, all things being equal club performance matched against quality of league and club
