No vex it's just that "it took some seconds to clear the ball". I am just trying to explain that cosbof his height he couldn't clear that ball any earlier.

MetalJigsaw:
Bro, why do you speak as if I just said Balogun isn't good? But bekong is vigilant what of that

Why do I think Moses kills our cohesive team work. If Vic Moses was in the field against Argentina in the second half we would never have seen those fluent moves. I know he can change a game but sometimes he gotta be more of a team player. Quick releases, one-twos, and faster passes. If he starts doing these things in addition to his dribblings he'd be phenomenal in Russia.

You are very correct. He is very selfish. To release the ball on a counter he won't, to cross from the flank as a winger is zero, free kick far from target. He always makes the striker look like pedestrian. Maybe he admires Willian to much. But talent wise, they are far apart. That is why I get worried when I hear Onyekuru too.

yeah... Let's focus on that... Hope to see him improve on his performance.. I'll pick him over ezenwa everyday.. And this is not a knee jerk reaction... How he deals with aerial balls and crosses, ticks it for me... Just imagine ezenwa against Algeria flapping at high balls.... My opinion though.
Hmmm.

If only the stupid Npfl and Caf champions league align to world cup calendar, we would have seen the benefit of having Ajiboye on board.

I should be the one asking you such question. What quality does Agu bring to the team. What does he offer the team apart from fouls and yellow cards? Its a general knowledge.

I'm so surprised someone can come out and defend such a mediocre player in the SE

I need facts and stats

Is that your own clarifications? Fouls and Yellow cards? Is that why you claimed his yanch opened?

Ndidi first games were below average but today he is in the first 11. What do you have to say about that?

Joel Obi too fouled many times on Friday and even collected yellow card, can you say his yanch open?

That’s not good news. Iceland should be banned by FIFA for 100 years if they withdrew. What sort of nonsense is that?? That will mess things up in our group. I hope this news isn’t true. Why should they be taking another man’s medication??

Meanwhile England is preparing seriously for the World Cup.

Onyekuru issue was work permit, I think his only undoing is his low transfer fee. I'm sure he would be in Everton next season if the club pushes for his stay under the "special talent" category.
Ndidi was already qualified to play in England because of his high transfer fee, he didnt have to have played for the national team, the transfer fee was enough evidence for the FA to know he was quality another way young players can gain work permit.
So it's not as simple as you make it sound.

Do you have evidence to back up your claim?

Anyone got any update on the Eagles preparation for tomorrow?

I thought I saw Etebo in one of the photos uploaded on their twitter page.

Any idea who will be starting tomorrow?

He needs to get better with his pass. Promising counter attacks broke down because we missplaced simple passes. If we can get that right we could have one of the most lethal fast breaks in the world. Nigeria v Cameroon in Uyo is an example of us getting that right.
I thought Moses had let off on his selfishness cos I defended him during the WCQ but I saw selfishness in him against Poland. Could it be that playing as a wing back represses his natural attacking flair such the freedom given to him when he dons the Gwg makes him a glutton. Like pikin wey dem don starve, come see food and go want eat everything alone.

When I watched Germany and Spain this evening I realised that their system of football lacks individual brilliance. It's efficient football built on team effort rather than individual solo runs. It requires the players to be completely unselfish.

Tammy Abraham that choosed England I can see his market value sky rocketing. The earier you realize that quality will always speak for itself is the moment you will stop being exessively emotional.

Na so bro, too many emotional comments filled with ethnic and sentimental vibes. Many of this thread are fond of this habit.

To me, both can't replace Mikel or deputize him and as matr said, Aluko is not even a midfielder and Nwakali is not outstanding enough to boss the midfield when it comes to serious business.

Thank you for this, the closest player that can deputise for Mikel is already in camp which is Joel obi, Aluko in no way is an AM...as expected a worldcup squad should have 2 players in each position and 3 goal keeper.

We are already close to the worldcup, I can assure you guys that you wont see any new player except the case of injury in sensitive position

I love your question.I think we had this discussion yesterday based on Mikel Agu late call and metaljigsaw said why when we have Ndidi,Onazi,Joel,Ogu,Etebo, and Agbo even Agbo continue invitation has a question mark.

Humility017 and metaljigsaw believe what we need now is AM cos it was evident against Poland and they are right but the question is do we have one.

I came up with Sone Aluko and Kekechi Nwakili but some came hard on me said why Aluko?but didn't question why Nwakili Kelechi.

The issue here is simple we are too sentimental and emotional in our response to issues and we often forget that we are talking football.

I now realized mentioning name Aluko is not the issue or his quality is questionable but some see it as a way to hit back at some monikers, that's not analysis.

If we are questioning clamouring for Aluko then why are we trying to justify Chiedebere Nwakili invitation for Algeria and Argentina match, pls on what ground.

I made my recommendation and i said Aluko and Kelechi,Humility017 thumb me up on Kelechi Nwakili and forgiveness said why Kelechi Nwakili who is now playing in dutch 2nd tier.

I think Aluko would fit in just like Joel Obi cos he once a member of the team right from U20 and Nwakili is a young lad with great talent and see him as a future replacement for Mikel.

Major issue here we leave football analysis to settle personal scores which is not good for this thread.

It is something I have known for a very very long time.

He would have killed off some of our counter attack had he played in the Argentina match. He should grow up abeg. I used to defend him but let him think more of the team.

Their absence would affect results in our group. Our match against Iceland should be an interesting one. It’s one of those matches you’d want to watch over and over again.

I’m looking forward to it.

Look at what you wrote up there for instance. Are they Messi or Ronaldo.

I'm all for being allowed to air one's opinions but sometimes I feel like we're unnecessarily harsh on these players and expect so much from them. This in turn makes us turn a blind eye to their improved performances and that is what I'm against. No player can have it all(expect perhaps Messi grin grin) but they're all unique in their own ways and should be appreciated when there's a noticeable improvement. I hope you understand.

This croatian coach reminds me of a certain cameroonian gaffer called Hugo Broos who went all about beating chest that his team will wallop the SEs home and away. We all know how the story ended.

This present Super Eagles and Rohr don't like to be underrated and provoked. This man and his team go chop am.

We need a player who can give balogun and ekong run for their money in the person of Kelvin akpoguma and at the left back the likes of echiejille and idowu need a fight for torunarighai and attacking midfielder Mikel and ebeto and Joel obi need some one to contest with them like Ryan sanusi and in the attack ighalo need some one to also fight with them in the number nine role like Paul onuachu and cyriel dessers.it will make our team more stronger before the world cup
