"Who freaking cares??"

Oga, if you have 2 children a boy and a girl that are both in S.S.3 and are due to take S.S.C.E exams, you will say let one of them do it while the other one should repeat the class right ??

Remember that FIFA gives out funding for this programs to ooo. Plus nobody is saying anything about feminism here, all I am saying is that in this age, it will be more profitable to manage these set of female soccer stars, brand them and sell them to Nigerians and Africa at large. NFF is a corporation, corporations are created to manage multiple issues at the same time, they are paying a foreign coach to coach these girls and I am sure he is getting paid in $US, so if you believe the best NFF can do is what they are presently doing concerning female soccer, I pray nobody hires you to manage a serious business/organization, while also praying for the female members of your family.
. Lmaoooo. grin grin. You just had to go personal and emotional. grin. So typical,so expected. I'm sure if you had read through what I wrote without focusing on my first sentence then you would have understood my point. If promoting female football would have been more profitable 'in this age' like you say, than promoting male football, don't you think that would have been done since? After all it would bring in more funds right? Smh. The truth is that you think the NFF have some sort of personal vendetta against female football but you could never be more wrong. Maybe you should write a petition to them and while doing that, also attach an application letter since you're the one with the best business managerial skills tongue . Let me ask you my brother, how many Nigerian girls do you know that watch and are enthusiastic about female football? Not much. How many stadia are mostly filled with more women than men during the women league games? Close to nothing. It's either the stadia are empty(which is a bad thing) or it has more males in it. This just shows that even the so called feminists you used as a yardstick are even more interested in male football than female football. Now who's the best manager here, the NFF or you?

My brother listen, even my girlfriend knows more than half of the players AS ROMA and CHELSEA. Something I don't even know because I don't watch them. But during the AFCON our ladies won,she didn't sit down with me to watch one match. NOT ONE,NOT EVEN THE FINAL AGAINST CAMEROON. She rather preferred to sleep. I watched the whole tournament alone. Now what does that tell you?

Anyway, you've been heard but I retain my stand on this and like I said earlier, their time will come. This whole argument will be past us and the light will shine bright on both sides cool. Good morning

Very simple point. Iheanacho was not brought to lead the line. It is ridiculous to suggest so. Iheanacho is a future asset of the club, that was why there was even the talk of a buy back clause in the future. No one in the Board ever thought of Nacho keeping Vardy on the bench. Not even you trying to sell the false idea.

And it was for an own goal he scored in one of the games that played a huge part. And I grew up hearing every goal scored against your own team as "Escobar" when we dey play monkey posts or big posts wink

Sad history shaa sad

It's been said that Escobar's death might have been for non footballing reasons or rather the own goal was not the primary reason he was killed. It's a known fact that Escobar was deeply involved with the notorious drug baron Pablo Escobar. The drug Lord was a mad football fan(even invited Maradona to come play for him in his personally built La Catedral prison which had a football pitch and Diego was handsomely rewarded) but he was using football clubs in Colombia as a front to launder money for his cartel. He also had many vicious enemies. The footballer was his good friend. So some people think Escobar was caught in the crossfire.

Four Four two magazine has an interesting article titled: Narcos: When Pablo Escobar did football – and changed the game in Colombia forever

Narcos is an ongoing Netflix drama series about Pablo Escobar. I find drug barons interesting and certainly Pablo Escobar was one of the most interesting and mysterious characters

Serbia go into this encounter as underdogs with NairaBet who price them at (2.70).
Nigeria are (2.60) to claim victory and a draw is a 3.15 play according to the same firm.

From goal......

So Nigeria are favourites cheesy

Why do I think Moses kills our cohesive team work. If Vic Moses was in the field against Argentina in the second half we would never have seen those fluent moves. I know he can change a game but sometimes he gotta be more of a team player. Quick releases, one-twos, and faster passes. If he starts doing these things in addition to his dribblings he'd be phenomenal in Russia.

My point exactly. You saw him demonstrate that against Zambia in Uyo, against cameroon in Yaonde and nw against poland. We could have beaten cameroon at home were it not for these excesses. Imagine us playing a semi final and all he is doing is dribbling and ball hogging tryin to do solo runs. Supposing we get punished for not taking our chances? of what use will all the hypes of game changer be then?

I just hope all these uncurbed exuberances Of his will not cost us at the world cup. Na that time you will be hearing people say how useless a player he is. Right now we are doing praise singing. As free as the role he is given is, he needs to remember that it is a team sport. When we need impact playing, he should come in as a sub to come and do his selfish play(probably in games where we have really struggled to score). Not when we are trying to build momentum in a game. Ball hogging is fast becoming is thing of the past. World cup is almost here.

Yes, yes... I didnt want to say this but I know there will be just one or maybe two who liked for "appreciation sakes" but truthfully speaking, that is not the case for all remaining likes. smiley

I repeat... No player in the GWG has gotten that much likes for an injury news on GWG duty. All five likes most certainly cannot be just in appreciation of Tbaba's good works on the news now is it? cheesy

Lol.... I've been so long on this thread to read between the lines. Had Chief Icon4s not mentioned it, believe me, we would not even be talking about it right now... But when two eyes like Him and me notice this.... And he is the one to point it out and not me... Then this is not air talk. But I will let it lie... My message is already gotten across.

There is nothing to like on "five counts" or more on a player's injury while on GWG duty. And all five certainly cannot be "in appreciation" coz I know all will wanna hide under that umbrella whereas it is only one or two that belong there.

I am sorry to disagree with all of you, his review is spot on, Nacho was a flop, we still need to see more of Ebuehi to ascertain his better than shehu, though I know he will pass.

for Leon He was a little harsh on him but Leon has not been that good, we close our eyes to it, troost was doing all the interception and Leon was out of position, a moniker even said Leon played in the LB and another said we played a 352 formation. I know his fan favourite but he was obviously not at par with Ekong
Sir,pls go and watch Poland match again and let's brainstorm.

Leon was pretty good until he was substituted, after his substitution what happened, confusion at the back, thank God Ebuehi came to the rescue.

Pls i want you to tell me how many times Leon went out of position, may be we watched different match.

I don't think there is need for us to go back to the era of Libero and sweeper to analyse the job of Ekong and Balogun on the field.

This is not issue of being a fan favorite but fact.

Today is another big day in our world Cup story, as for me, our world cup has started and I will bask in the Euphoria of our victories. I will savour every minute of our winnings as tomorrow is not guaranteed!!!

I refused to accept that we lose now and win tomorrow. I refuse to accept that we have lose today so that we can win tomorrow, when in actual sense no one amongst us here have the power to control tomorrow.

Winning instead we must because we stand awhole lot to gain if we win than when we lose.

Winning today will boost our insulting current FIFA rankings from 52 to 41

Winning today will boost the confidence our boys further and sell their image faster in the international market and their market ratings will keep soaring high, and we need that because we need them to play at the biggest clubs.

So to me,.......

WINNING IS EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Go boys and do us Proud!!

52 to 41?? Abeg, how did you come up with this calculation?

Football is not static and neither are football players. Some improve on upwards spiral and some are on a continous downward spiral.

Don't use old glories or past failings to ascertain a player. The reality is that OBAGOAL is currently the most consistent striker we have over the past 10 years.

Everywhere he has been whatever the league he has been outstanding.

Currently with better statistics than both KC and Ighalo. That's the reality. Unless you are prejudiced which many are then you can not deny his quality.

If we can invite Ajayi then why not Obagoal.

The relevant question is what's his current level of performance❓ Not what happened a decade ago.

There are so many players that have had resurgences in thier careers much later on. He is not as old as many top players yet we dismissed him for players who may never ever reach the level he has.

Firstly, he is certainly not too old after all is he older than Robben Arjen, Jermain Defoe, Danny Alves, Evra, Iniesta, Mascherano and yes even Christiano Ronaldo are all in the same range or older.

So what's the biggie Or just plain bad belle.

Consider the depth of experience and technical know how that OBAGOAL brings to the table. He could be the missing quality link.

As far as I am concerned, I don't think we have a reliable striker.

Ighalo is just there though I love his work rate.

We should not be deceived.

Anyway, your write up is spot on.

Ebuehi, Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Idowu -

Onazi, Ndidi, Joel Obi -

Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi,

Ahmed Musa

cc: Gbosaa

Let us see Ahmed Musa strikes.

Let us see the combo of Onazi, Joel and Ndidi in the absence of Mikel Obi.

It's bizarre you keep mentioning Aluko, go check his files, he was part of success story of hull city coming to EPL, but what happened..? They dropped him, he went to Fulham, what happened again? He was dropped... Now plays for Bolton or even reading.... If he was that good you claim, many clubs should have been coming for him..
Good players even expecting to SE after world Cup are the likes of young and skillful Kalu and Esiti of Gent... Not Aluko.. He has tried

Reading payed £7 million for him.

He chose not to renew his contract it's a play on words. Wanted to work with a forward thinking manager and club that plays good technical football.

This is quite a common occurrence in the EPL players dropping a division for more money or better prospects and progression.

Uzoho........Good to see him in action again and better for his confidence

Ebuehi...........He is starting for the first time and let's see may be he would be a better option than Shehu

Balogun.........Good to see him again with Troost-Ekong.

Ekong........Another solid performance expected with Balogun

Idowu............Seems Echijele is losing out though Idowu had average game against Poland,Elderson couldn't have done better.

Onazi...........Good to be back in the starting line up and let's see what he has to offer.

Ndidi........Another solid performance is loading.

Joel Obi.......Gradually integrating himself into the team, hope to see him doing Mikel for us today

Victor Moses.......had a good match against Poland but need to play more with the team

Alex Iwobi.......not convincing performance against Poland but hope to see improve Alex today, need to be consistent.

Ahmed Musa......He must have showed class in training for him to start ahead of Ighalo.Truly Ighalo and Nacho were below par against Poland.

Remarks......The team is evolving with starting team emerging, just few changes from Poland match with Onazi,Ebuehi and Musa coming in for injured Nacho,Shehu and Ighalo respectively.

It seems Ezenwa has lost out in competing for number one shirt cos Rohr has more trust in young Uzoho.

Also am seeing Echijele not making it cos having him on the bench doesn't add any value to the team.Let's see how Elderson react in subsequent friendlies.

With Musa coming in as a leading attacker meaning Rohr wasn't satisfied with Ighalo and Nacho though injury ruled him out, meaning hope for the likes of Oyekwuru,Ideye,Kayode,Samuel Kalu,Olayinka etc.

The team is getting clearer and any player dropped from this 28 man list should forget WC.

There is only hope for those people you listed to be added to the team not replace ighalo or Nacho, for obvious reason... I still maintain that we already have 95% of our team

This goes to show that Rohr is a very conservative coach. He doesn't just change his teams for the mere fact of changing it. That's why i fear for Aina breaking in. Now he's trusting Idowu, it's gonna be tough for Aina. I even thought an Awaziem or Omeruo would have started in place of Balogun. Well things could still change in 7hrs before the official starting list is out but I doubt it as he tends to start with his last training team.
I just feel for Aina and the other CBs.

Aina already had his chance, he started against Argentina, he played Algeria too
