isan:it's like you have no idea...that sometimes chance and luck play a role in a man's success or fortunate drive... let me make you understand...going by club ranks...shehu on paper wasn't qualified for the national team call up....many here will downplay his invitation...but dude took his opportunity well and never disappoint on the GWG...and the rest today is history.... same way it is....with ajayi...he may get invitee ahead of kayode, dessers and co but that doesn't mean he is better.... another case of note is Samuel kalu in belguim....so sometimes the best may not always get invited for obvious reasons known to the coach.... so please stop crying like one who just own a lottery he has been deprived of...dude has not even kicked a ball yet...not even sure if he gonna play... i will be happy he gets to play though...because his success will add more flavour to the team..... 2 Likes |

Meanwhile Pinnick and Co paid another visit to Carl Ikeme recently... Ahead of the #NGASRB game, PinnickAmaju, Akinwunmi, Sanusi visit Carl_Ikeme in hospital and handed him a multi-signed no.1 Super Eagles GK jersey of all the players in the team who sent their good wishes. #GetWellSoonBigCarl 15 Likes 3 Shares

ChrisKels: "Blood in" doesn't fit the context. That role is for players who are responsible and matured enough to take responsibility. Modric for Croatia, Kroos for Germany, Coutinho for Brazil, KDB for Belgium... We Will make do with what we have till another initiation season. |

Good line up. The player I really wanna see today is Ebuehi. And it looks like Joel Obi would be playing further up as well. And by the way, does Rohr know that Joel Obi can play the RWB position? Just in case the current crew can't deliver the goods. I would've like to see the likes of Awaziem, Uche Agbo, Kenneth Omeruo, and Aina start this game but I guess Rohr doesn't wanna lose the game so he chose not to experiment too much. TheSuperNerd:we've got quite a young and inexperienced squad who I believe on their day would beat any team. Build up to this game has been less entertaining and with our wins over argentina and poland still fresh in our memory, I predict they'd let complacency rear its ugly head. A defeat wouldn't make me feel bad but i'd get ecstatic over a win anyway |

TheLoneCitizen: This is the kind of comment that leave me bewildered.... Like seriously So Poland were abysmal because they want to or because we made them abysmal? Were they abysmal because they so much liked our faces and allowed us to win in their backyard easily? Baba we pressed them insanely and gave them little time on the ball at the back. That disrupted their game plans I no know wetin dey worry some of una for this place self ...... Always downplaying our efforts 9 Likes |

Rohr does not joke around with any match, he always tries to start with a strong 11. Very little experimentation.. Nigeria win 2:0.. Serbia's 2 forward men, Tadic and Mitrovic are threats. Poland was more impressive in the WC qualifiers than Serbia in my opinion. Serbia is actually quite decent in defending and hitting on the counter. Slow, slow backline.. Can be beaten with pace and directness. Not great at defending at set-pieces but good at utilizing them. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Uzoho to continue his "Mr Clean sheet" form going to Wembley eh.... And yes... The Serbian backline is quite slow and led by an aging Kolarov and our forwards in Iwobi, Musa and Moses should utilise their pace and direct plays to cause them huge huge problems. tbaba1234: |

did you mean LWB? I think Rohr is trying to maintain the shape and chemistry of the team while making few changes at a time.. may pay off for us that way. Let's hope he starts to pull players off the bench early in the second half. Icon79: |

TheSuperNerd:There's a difference sort of in that the away team will put on colors that do not correspond with any of the colors of the home team. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon79(m): 4:09pm On Mar 27, 2018 |
Correct! Sorry for the typo. Yes, I have seen Joel play LWB a few times when he was at Inter Milan. And I agree with you on making change early as well. Against, Poland he left the changes come way too late into the game. I was expecting about 3 changes immediately before kickoff of the second half and 3 more about 10-15 mins later. O pari Joebie: |

realpoacher: Sometimes teams win cause they were just unplayable, in this case we won cause our opponents didn't rise up to the occasion. You shouldn't say we were very good on that day, rather both teams were bad. We were just able to grind out a result. I saw a couple of lads saying Morocco weren't good enough in the win over Serbia but Serbia were just too poor. Why can't we say the same for our beloved country, pal? |

I would rather he misses the friendly and show up during the main event. Unlike Angel DiMaria who would play all the friendly and go AWOL during the main event, thereby costing his country a world cup glory in 2014 O pari safarigirl: |
