See ehn, since then I've been trying it at home, sometimes it works, sometimes we have to sing wheels on the bus with clapping while holding his hands and keeping the plate far from his kicking legs undecided undecided undecided undecided

That choking one is the worst...he does it intentionally, nowadays once I see there's no cause for alarm I don't even react...and he will still finish the food...mtchewwwwwww

And my boy is even a foodie...he just likes play more than food most times

queensnow, It's like we woke up on the same side of

p.s - This was supposed to be a response, but ended up as a rant.... Make una no vex o!
angry grin grin you have ranted pass the original ranter.....my own baby is stil 3months old so i never get this experience. But my niece worst pass all these ones wey una dey talk not until my mom came into the picture. What she usually do is prepare the food and keep behind her. Then she would start playing with my niece they would clap and dance and do anyother thing my neice wants then she would just bring out a spoon and this girl would magically open and mouth,my mom will clap and they would laugh well.play small and then bring out a spooon and laugh ..... this continues till she finishes the food. it is stressful but it works. If u shout or beat it will make the child hate meal time . Pele mamas dont worry it is a phase that would soon pass

Queensnow, if you have explained, give the baby to his dad. Why tell, when you can show. Let him feed his son and see if it's easy. That's the only solution I can see.
That was what I said that he wants to explode embarassed

Queensnow sorry dont be hard on your self.

enque and all its a phase o! Which they will outgrow eventually( not entirely sha).

Look for what they enjoy eating and offer it, give someone else the food to feed them, someone told me that baby high chair cubs feeding drama and should be a necessity.

Some kids likes to feed themselves, this can be very messy and time consuming but works.

Others prefer the food on the ground and not on a plate undecided.

Some kids eat best when you eat with them or offer them spoon to eat from your plate.

Some eat when sleepy.

My son lived on golden morn for months!!! And every appetite booster i tried seemed not to work, now its fried very ripe plantain and pancakes with tea he's been eating for over two weeks now! Anything else I offer gets thrown away or meets a very loud NO!.

I'm not bothered as long as he eats something and poos out the waste! its fine by me.

Try and make feeding time fun and stress free, don't let them see your frustration. Whenever I offer him something and he rejects I'll just get up and call 'gecko' of Pj marks his favorite character to come and take it.

It works sometimes as he will run and take the food from me other times he will just ignore me.

Even if its creamy tea offer it and be at rest.

Cheese balls, biscuits, boiled or fried eggs are food in my dictionary! If I get him to eat any of those I'm OK.

Queensnow pele, I can feel your frustration through the internet sef you are a FANTASTIC mother inugo? You've done a great job so far, if nobody praises you, praise yourself. The fact that you come here to find and suggest good recipes for babies to eat sef is not small effort. Comman take big hug grin grin grin

You're doing your best, just keep trying, anything you see that he likes give him consistently and try and sneak nutritious food into it. 7 to 8 spoons is ok, increase frequency of feeding to maybe 2 hourly. If he likes to feed himself give him chunks of apple/banana/carrots (steamed) to hold and be chewing. Even if he eats half and throws it away at least something has entered his stomach

Let hubs sef try and feed him, its easy to talk when you're not the one dealing with the drama. On the other hand, the boy may collect the food better from a different person. The day I got to my son's creche and they were feeding him I almost fainted. He sat gently opposite his nanny and was opening his mouth like a responsible citizen of Nigeria, no need for bib, no standing up, no running about, no kicking the plate sef meanwhile at home I hold him on my lap, hold one hand and tuck the other one under my armpit before we can eat
thanks for the hug I really need it kiss kiss

Mamas how are u'll doing? Pls does anyone feel the way I feel When i see a baby girl. I just one to have one but I just go thinking how will I cope with another baby, will my son still get my full attention, will I be able to just go out or travel easily like I do now, can I give her the best of everything. I feel this my thinking is weird or its fear of the unknown. What do u think?

Aunty goan do test and come identify with you team mates grin tongue

Seriously the way I'm longing for a daughter now ehn? afraid is catching me undecided

I even just bought one cute pink onesie sef lipsrsealed

I don't think its weird at all, you are just being human but yeah! You can do it and all your kids will definitely get equal love and care.

As per the traveling part some adjustment must be made though but its still very possible with the right support.

This is also part of my worries. I desire a new baby now and i always carry any cute new baby I see but I've always been thinking how am going to cope with another baby. All the same, I agreed with dh that we will start trying for a baby as soon as our son is 1+6 months and DS L will be 1yr+6 months by 27th of April so dh is already on my case as to when he can start pouring everything inside without any calculation grin cheesy. Na God go help us ooo

One mama here (can't recall her moniker),advised i fry my son's food with butter instead of groundnut oil. When i went shopping, the lady there recommended simas, so i chattered. I just made pancakes now for my son with the Simas butter and oh my God, everything ended up in my dustbin. The pancakes were sooooooooooo salty, my goodness! Even i couldn't eat any. I dey vex, kai.
Please are there other brands that are not as salty?
Please mamas, any recommendations?
