somehow:This is what I can not wrap my head around. Why field players whom you know their real game abilities for 90 minutes when you have some players whom we've not fully seen or not seen at all in real game. In that regard I feel like we wasted an opportunity presented to us by this friendlies |

Kog45: Shey you are seeing what I have been talking about here? They chose certain players to defend and some others to slaughter at every slight opportunity. I have been reading and have not seen anyone here mention the poor positioning of Uzoho for that second goal. What was he doing at that corner of the post when he already had players covering? Very poor anticipation from him. That and that ruled out goal in the first half were the only low points of his game IMO. He had a better game than against Poland. But I Must say I am still worried. Love of country over individual players should be paramount. 3 Likes |

Kog45:No coach used unfit player for a match? This is simply not true. I can give you so many instances even in Nigeria football where unfit players were used. Keshi played some of our matches unfit, Oliseh came from hospital to come and play our Afcon 2000 semi final match with Senegal. Maradona played lots of matches unfit. I can go on and on. The human body is not a machine. I do not agree with you at all that just because he passed fitness test he was fully fit. I ask didn't you see him wince in pain at one point in the match? Even before the goals when some monikers were saying Ebuehi na baller I just sighed. He didn't ball cos I was watching him keenly. Yes I will not deny that he didn't play well but you cannot take away the fact that for the last two weeks the boy has been struggling with fitness issues. I repeat the human body is not a machine. No be human body wey even somebody that is certified as fit will just slump and die? 1 Like |

Yes religion does it, check the way some pray. Enough said. Check any country that makes remark using other people's failure as their own way of feeling better, they always have one thing in common. Why not use those who did well to physc yourself? safarigirl: |

Lollzzz...so much suggestions...I will want him after the world cup precocious Arsenal Talent Nwakali Is The Solution To Nigeria's Midfield Problem A playmaker with class, one highly rated by Arsenal and currently on loan at MVV Maastricht in Holland. How is he not? It's a subject regular observers ponder. How is Kelechi Nwakali not included in the Super Eagles squad? A player of grace, vision and football acumen, but one on the periphery at international level. It's a strong national team, to be fair. And Nwakali is a creative midfielder – the Eagles are not short of those. MVV fans would tell you how talented he is – one of the jewels of their campaign, a player to help facilitate the club's attacking principles. Few midfielders are on the ball as much as the Nigerian in the Dutch second tier. Few can boast his passing accuracy, sitting at just over 87 per cent. He is a fantastic player who is able to read the play before anyone else. That's the major ingredient the Super Eagles lacked in their recent friendlies against Poland and Serbia respectively. The former Golden Eaglets skipper will be hoping further great performances can aid a late bid for a spot in the national squad traveling to Russia. It would be a fitting way to crown his time to date in MVV, where he feels at ease, national team or not. Abayomi Ademetan [b] source: ANS ]/b] 2 Likes |

Kog45: Wasn't it on this thread that someone posted a comment of Rohr commending Ebuehi saying that we all can see what Ebuehi could do even when he is not fully fit. Ebuehi is still work in progres just like most players in the team, you can't rate him with one bad match. |

darkelf: Agreed But then what do we do ❓ Continue with what we have and expect the best or invite a 3/4 more tried and tested players to complement vthat we have. We are effectively going to the world cup with one bonafide striker Ighalo he is not Lukaku , that can not be wisdom. 1 Like |

Just listening to amaju pinnicks interview on brila fm He said that Ahmed Musa playing for 90mins was one of the high points of the game. SMH. Someone whose continual invitation is shrouded in mystery. My elders in the house, who can explain why we keep giving invitations to this guy? 1 Like |

elyte89:Let's not deceive ourselves, all these strikers you mentioned aren't more potent than Ighalo. It is not an issue of strikers. There is no single creative midfielder that can feed Ighalo with the passes passes/ combination that he requires. Ighalo is a dangerous and hungry striker, but no services, no supply, no connection for the midfield so what do you expect. You notice that he tracked back to the midfield to get the ball a couple of times out of frustration. Put Mikel behind him and see what happens. Don't forget the Cameroon game. 1 Like |

A contributor on brila just said he doesn't expect much from this team. He said that he has his eyes set on Qatar 2022 and not this coming WC in Russia because it is a team for the future He finally posited that we shouldn't expect much from this team and that we can only manage to survive the group stage in the WC |

Mujtahida: Who is currently holding the title of Chinese FA highest goalscorer? Martins Obafemi. Those goals won his team Chinese FA cup ahead of Mikel Obi and Ighalo's clubs. Besides, the arguement is not about current form, it is about the past achievements with their European club. Pls, read well before you start jumping into matters. Thanks 1 Like |

Kog45:Sir Kog45 you are old in this game. Please don't say what you know is not true. Even footballers themselves will tell you they have played many matches not fully fit. What happened to France in 2002?was Zidane fully fit, what of Beckham? Didn't Keshi play many matches with his niggling knee injuries. Haba, just because you want to make a point you shouldn't deny facts. John Terry played matches for Mourinho when not fully fit. As for Oliseh I have told you what is. You are free to doubt it. Oliseh had malaria, his name was not supposed to be on the list. I have given you many examples even beyond Oliseh. Players play matches even with less than 100% fitness. |
