the word mediocre has been abused on this thread.

Our players are hardly mediocre, and last I checked, the replacements we seek aren't a bunch of Hazards or Messis, so, I don't see why that term should be used to describe players that helped us qualify for the tournament and have given a good account of themselves so far
I do not hate rohr and most eagles players. In fact the green eagles match against Cameroon and the Argies are among my all time favourite. In the above mentioned matches i saw a team with the hunger and thirst to win. I expect them to move upwards not recording abysimal performances. In life you can't continue doing the same thing and expect the same results. some players in the current squard has no business making the team talk less of sitting on the bench. I rest my case

Sadiq Umar is quality... With all due respect, he will pose a greater threat than Ighalo especially with his directness.

I will rate him better than ighalo....
he has never impressed me...save for the Cameroon match....

please let's try other strikers...it is not about playing for a big club...that a striker delivers...
I remember Julius aghahowa was never in a big club....but he was always delivering whenever called upon.
even Samuel Aaron was still in China...when keshi keep.giving him a call up...but he was always saving keshi's face....

so some players I believe have that luck and potentials to deliver on the GWG than others....

If all goes according to plans..... I see Sadiq Umar among the near future class acts in Nigeria's growing league of extraordinary hitmen in the no.9 role. The other names in that list of hitmen (No.9, SS, RWF, LWF) I also monitor. Just give it time.

For Russia 2018... Seems we are stuck with Ighalo. So patience My Ogas. wink

you just disappointed me with this write up...
he was never given Apple time in Italy...
during preseason he played well...but roma never give him enough time to get used to the team...to play.....
he left for torino...the presence of a top Italian striker in the team limited his opportunities...and now in the dutch league..you're trying to berate same league...

same league taiwo awoniyi could not play up to his optimal capacity....but now in the Belgian league doing better....are you going to say the Belgian league is lower to the dutch league....
even mr ajagun in Holland didn't play this well the way he currently plays in the Belgian league...

you should know by now that football don't work that way.....players can be best suited for a particular team style of play or even a league...and that will aid them to shine.

Yes, the same sadiq of Roma..

He has improved loads...

He has given all the top teams in Holland defences (Feyenord and PSV) headache with his directness.. He makes his own chances by his willingness to take on defenders. Ighalo and Ogbeche do not do that.

Note, i did not say he is better than Ighalo but he will certainly give defenders more to worry about than Ighalo. He still needs to work on his finishing ability.

Aluko simply did not concede to demands from a particular official and his supportive cronies all in the NFF. From that point he was frozen out.

Jordon Ibe should be removed cos is an English player but you accept Uduokhai Felix who is Germany youth international and surprisedly you accept Torunarigha a German youth international who just rejected Nigeria.

Pls on Ighalo it seems you are waiting for this friendly to nail the young man.

I will advice you to go and watch Poland and Serbia match again and point out Ighalo's fault then i will keep quiet.

Pls go to Facebook and type green eagles hq and watch the match.

I did not say that, he should be in the squad but i will not be surprised if he performs far better than Ighalo if invited. The quality is there. It is just that time is limited.

Ighalo's record for Nigeria is very poor... For a top striker, his return is low. I hope he hits form at the WC.

Lol... You are right shaa to an extent. Rohr rates Nacho even above Ighalo... He sees Nacho as his best forward but what Rohr needs is that player that can execute the no.9 role naturally in terms of holdup play, physical battles, and being a constant nuisance for defences. Nacho is another breed of forward. A hybrid attacker. Rohr wants a super top 9 and I know with time the Likes of Sadiq and Osimhen will lead the charge in that role followed by others who will rise strong but right now, Ighalo leads the way and maybe just maybe, we may see a Martins on the list.... Hahahahahahahahaha... Or maybe a Dessers. Time will tell aiit...

To be honest I have two ways of seeing this team...

No.1 is The team that we will field in Russia 2018

And

No.2 is the team's evolution and shape one and two years post-russia... At and After Afcon 2019, we shall see a major "gradual" influx of the new generation's remaining puzzle pieces. Watch out... wink

Why Ndidi Will Miss At Least Two Games Not One, Leicester Boss Reacts To Red Card

Wilfred Ndidi will not be available for selection in Leicester City's next two domestic fixtures after he was sent off against
Brighton & Hove on Saturday afternoon.

Since Ndidi did not receive a straight red card against the Seagulls, he would have been suspended for only one game under normal circumstances but the central midfielder was dismissed against Crystal Palace in December 2017 and will be banned for a further game by the English FA as today's red was his second of the season.

Leicester Mercury has added that the two-game ban could be extended yet further if it's deemed the Nigeria international did not leave the pitch within a reasonable amount of time after he was red carded in the 87th minute.

Reacting to Ndidi's sending off post-match, Foxes manager Claude Puel has opined that the Nigerian did not deserve to be sent off as he made contact with the ball.

The Frenchman told reporters : ''For me, he doesn't touch the player. He touch the ball and it changed direction. It's tough to lose this player, he's very valuable and he's tough in midfield''.

It is confirmed that Ndidi will not be included in the match day squads when Leicester City face Newcastle United (April 7) and Burnley (April 14).
