For the individual on RN and RM Evaluations please note the following
1. Never never use WES for RN and RM evaluation (it is stated as not being comparable to Canadian study)

2.We used ICAS and it took 20weeks from the time all relevant credentials reached their office including verification by The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. The equivalency we got was as follows RN - 3 years college diploma, RM - 3 years college diploma
3. I don't have personal experience with IQAS, however people say they give same equivalency as ICAS does for the two certificates, however, people claim one get his ECA Report as fast as 10 weeks

Best wishes
So a little above secondary school diploma but are they equivalent to two or more certificates, degrees or diplomas' points.. Or what is ur Interpretation?

Thank you and FYI, my wife is educated and interested in relocating. It would have been nice if you had answered the simple question rather than bothering yourself with the reason am creating a profile for her which I believe should be none of your business.

Hakuna Matata

No vex, it was just an (aproko) question. Of course she is educated or she wouldn't be the PA.

I was wondering, because I'm thinking your PR journey in total is likely to be easier if PA is principal player... Recall you said 'I am', not 'we are' or 'my wife is'.

Apologies and thanks in arrears for the forgiveness you already granted.

What he has is not a marriage certificate, he has an affidavit. Let us hope it works for him.

Tojued, a lotta people who follow this thread and are not the PA, usually do the whole application for their spouse. Most times is because their spouses are not on NL, have a very busy schedule, or application-filling is not their thing.

Recall we had a deliberation around using a year paid internship as a year work experience, it was actually for my spouse. Ontario's issuance of NOI to candidates with CRS as low as 351 in their last draw prompted me to create a profile for her to see if we could get an NOI because her paid internship was in an IT role. I've just created the profile but it returned ineligible and the simple reason was because the date she commenced her internship precedes the date her certificate was issued (date qualified to practise in that field).

Just thought I should share this information because of those who might be in same shoe now or in future.

My guy just warned me against wishing him a happy birthday 18 days time. According to him, there'd be nothing to cheer about losing 5 divine points. How could he be celebrating such blow to his Canadian dream? He'd be landing on 437 by 20th anyway. The irony is that same guy celebrated last year with a car and plenty owambe noise.

Hahahaha this is hilarious. That's how one lady came to me for help, while trying to calculate her CRS, I asked her age. She was confused becoz she couldn't remember which age she used on her passport, she said she'll get back to me. I said ok oh.

Nigerians, when will we stop this nonsense.

you won't blame her, maybe her birth was not recorded and they used "Eke market day" to recall the event

Thank you for sharing this outcome. So that summarily implies that paid/unpaid internship while still studying does not count as valid work experience under express entry.

How's the wait for IELTS bro?

Baba, I'm patiently waiting for feedback on my EOR. This week will make it the sixth. I don't want to register for the 4th one because I might not need to. I'm optimistic that both my L & W will be upgraded by 0.5. In the interim, I'm engaged in other activities to cool off any worries. I believe everything will fall in place at the right time. Thanks for checking up...

I guessed as much. I thought I had read it somewhere that you can't use internship done in the course of your study to claim points for work experience, but I was surprised when I read otherwise here.

Yeah it is explicitly stated on CIC's website. The same thing for research or teaching assistant jobs done even in a Canadian university while one is a student. It doesn't COUNT.

Just curious DadR, please was her Internship during her Undergraduate Programme or Postgraduate?

I'm asking cos I was working part time while undergoing my masters programme. Although, I believe this also was the case for Dupyshoo's sister but I believe her profile was still eligible.

So u mentioning this got my attention, I'd wait for ur response.

Happy belated birthday to you 'me darleeen'. May the Lord continue to enlarge your coast and be a light unto your path. May your days be long, may you not witness evil in Jesus name.

Kindly accept my apologies for the lateness, I had to actually get a reminder in my box before I checked in here.

Do have wonderful week.

Ok, so she enrolled for a year internship after completing a two-year full time National Diploma programme in Computer Science after which she got a full time job as a Customer Care Officer and enrolled for a part time B.Sc programme. She's got 5 years work experience as a CCO but this doesn't hold water under FSW EE shii cos it falls under NOC C.

Doctors who have completed their ECA with MCC kindly help to clarify this; A friend forgot to Pay courier fee for delivery of his ECA to Nigeria. He wants to pay the $143 but don't know how to go about this. He got a mail few days ago informing him that his ECA will be ready in 14 days. My question is: Will his ECA be delivered through Standard Post since he didn't pay for courier delivery? If No, how can he pay for courier delivery?

God bless the person who informed us about HST refund from WES. I got $27.47 two days ago grin

The ECA will be delivered to his naija address he filled via regular mail, and a soft copy sent to his account which he can use for his application. Doesn't need to spend that money on courier at all. My ECA hardcopy is cooling off in canny , used the soft copy to apply
