Are you talking about players who have already made their name from the top leagues in the world before going to China? Can you see the fault in your thought process?
Humility017:

if we are to talk of league comparism...then i believe those in Chinese league shouldn't be invited...because the Dutch league I believe is better technical than the Chinese league....
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 7:18am On Apr 05, 2018
I was comparing the 2 players that was put side by side, Umar in fewer number of games performed better goal wise than Dessers.
bengine:

Umar is not a lethal finisher, he is just ok but he offers a lot more as a forward..he has pace and very skillful for a guy that tall..his hold up play is good too...too be honest I don't mind him being our third striker, his unpredictability can cause a few upsets at the world cup...

If we can just get nachos finishing and download it into Sodiq's brain, I would take Sodiq ahead of Ighalo right away in our starting line up...

I don't think taking just Ighalo and nacho to world cup as our strikers is good..one of them would get injured at some point..and u can't really trust Musa..
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 7:22am On Apr 05, 2018
I will have to compare using league, number of games and play time to compare when it comes to goal, Umar did well in Seria A before joining dessers at the current league, I'm using what has been achieved to rate them both not what might or might not happen in the future.
Joebie:
Dessers is 23, he has arrived age-wise.. You never know what he might do if he moved to La Liga for example.. it's hard to really say.. which is why i'm not so strict on this league comparison thing..
Did Sadiq get lots of playing time in Serie A?

Modified
Take a look at Orji Okwonkwo
He had 3 goals from 10 matches in the serie A
This term he's not even scored a goal after 6 matches in Serie B, even though he has clocked more minutes.

You see what I mean? This is why i'm not big on league comparison.. it's all about player form and maybe other factors as well.

someone should please take a look at this beautiful passes and striker positioning and finishing prowess....this is all we ask for...from the super eagles midfielders...and striker

The last past that made it 3-3 deserves an Oscar...pure delirium

truthfully, he came and lighted up the EPL. It's not like he significantly improved.. He may have been a little underrated all this while.. This is the same man that singlehandedly stopped us from qualifying for AFCON. Moses is good.. But Salah belongs to the world class category.

I heard he got about 1 million votes in the Egyptian presidential elections when his name was not even on the ballot paper. grin

The same way Lukaku, Marko Arnautović, Balotelli, Llorente, Giroud, Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Tega Abrahams keep falling over any time anybody comes near them.

Very very weak excuse even that Dogonyaro Lacina Traoré, 2 metres ➕ tall does not fall the way he does.

I think the problem may be his feet not just balance and I am looking at severe case of flat feet or something else.
bros, those guys you mentioned are heavily built bar tammy who still falls easily, they have learnt to balance with their height... The height is definitely a factor, flat feet too just as you have mentioned , sadiq still has a lot to improve this we all agree.... Well done bros

lexyman:

ability to run without falling depends on your knowledge of biomechanics ... the science has to do with stamina and body balance ...managing the body with the ability to withstand internal forces and balancing the body with the external impact that will hinder the body from moving .... Peter Crouch is far taller than sadiq Umar and he doesnt fall any how ... he has the right stamina which is proportional to his physical built ... and he could withstand the external forces .....
I agree with you... But oga Peter crouch falls infact very easily... So sadiq has to learn how to manage his height that should be the bone of contention.

And that's we attribute to balance..there are tall players with good balance also..ex..dzeko is I think 6ft4in and he has good balance for his height...Sodiq's balance can still improve, there is time.

I feel Sadiq can still offer us something unique with his height and pace...but I doubt he would get invited..
correct.... To attain this balance dzeko is well built.. Sadiq should go visit the gym so he doesn't get easily knocked over...... We are all saying same thing basically.

What on earth are u talking about? Where did I say that Salah was born this season? U are talking about 32 goals contributed in all competitions while the man has already scored 29 goals in the EPL. His 15 league goals last season was a career high, he has completely improved as a goal scorer. I watched him in Roma and he was not as prolific as he is now, missed a lot of chances tbh. If Roma knew he was capable of scoring 29 league goals he would have cost much more but he went for peanuts.

Look, this guy's development was in an upward curve if you consider how good he was at Fiorentina, then later Roma. Right after the transfer window in August, he was rated as the bargain buy of the season by International Federation of Football History and stats (IFFHS). Their August publication was a big indictment on Roma and Monchii.
Any keen follower of the game knew that more was to come from Salah.

Also, why would you think Liverpool elected to smash their club record transfer fee on a player who they haven't done their due diligence on?

Roma and Monchii fluffed big time, although they claim to have sold him before the Neymar transfer effect which saw Monaco demanding 96Million for a one season wonder Thomas Lemar who they bought for 2 packs of chips the previous season.

i want Umar or any other young striker to be invited but not as a replacement for ighalo but another option, take ighalo to Netherland and he will surely be one of the league top striker, money took ighalo to china, he had many option

Ighalo has perform against the best of the best in premier league, he just need to be fed and he will perform, the assist from Mikel against Cameroon was not easy for him, but he had to beat his man with the body and some skills added before taking the shot, Umar can't do that

Joel Asoro and Maja were with Sunderland in the EPL and they made the bench some times. It is different from playing in league two.

Like I said, I am no longer monitoring FB players like before, so I did not follow Eze intensively.

Please show me where Raba Maja was listed in Sunderland match day squad in the EPL

There was no Neymar effect, he was sold for what he was worth. Nobody will buy a 24 yr old for the same amount they buy a 19 yr old. I followed Salah in Fiorentina and Roma and I can tell that he was not this good. He could do almost everything he is doing now but he was not as lethal as he is and the change has been more than drastic.

Haha!! You're so wrong! Actually, I do like the guy. As a matter of fact, I bashed the late big boss (Keshi) mercilessly after he left him out of the 2014 World Cup team. I sincerely believed that he merited being in the team 4 years ago, but right now I am not too sure any more. We're rebuilding and I don't want us to turn the Super Eagles into a retirement home sad

People saying umar is weak are wrong his hold up play is very good, and he outmuscles defenders! He is a physical specimen who the brings an unorthodox, unique style of directness using the size of his body like his chest and foot to good effect. His balance is his weakness, which can greatly improved on.
Come to think of it Kanu wasent the strongest or a balanced player but he used his trickery to great effect, umar had that!!!

ANd Thomas Lemar was worth 96Million? Recall,Monaco wanted 45-50M for him initially but the Neymar transfer effect saw an astronomical rise in transfer fees which saw inflation of player's transfer fees. The inflation saw Moussa Dembele switching to Barcelona for over a 100M.
Any keen observer of transfer window will know the impact huge transfer fees such as Neymar' s have in the general valuation of players.
