For those of us who watched keenly, the talk began right from the Cameroon vs Nigeria return fixture and then through the Zambia match in Uyo and the last match against Algeria where Ezenwa's inadequacy was laid bare. The friendlies were merely further pointers of the disaster awaiting us if we don't do something about this team.
2/3 wins is a disaster, wehdone.

Which team did you say you coach professionally?

We are so concerned about age at Super Eagle level and world cup team..How old was Roger Milla when Cameroon made that history[quarter final]. If it is age group level, its ok..but this is a super eagle team that is going to world cup to reach semi-final...that is a our target.. We are not building a team for 2022 now..Our intention is to go far in this competition,if some thirty year olds ON FORM can bring us the cup...why not? We won the cup ,pure and simple...After winning all the old guys are dropped FOREVER from the team. We in are in the record books as a winner of world cup.. Then we start building a new team with left-over young guys, Pragmatism is real

I used to like reading your posts but you're gradually becoming an irritant. Don't let me get angry angry sad shocked

forgiveness:

Ask AC Roma, dey will tell you Kayode scared the life out of them with his two goals and assist in Europa League over two matches.

Don't forget, he scored against an Italian defensive team twice. I don't think it's is moi moi.

Kayode Olanrewaju is far better than Dessers and Umar combined.

Those two lads are not in his level.

Give him the chance to prove himself and he will deliver.

Because his contribution won us last nation cup means he should be invited,i weep for you keep on living on past glory

Mario gotze goal won Germany last World Cup,And I am not sure he will make their squad because he has been out of form,so Germany should look at his past glory right ?

Just the way Eder goal won Portugral the European championship but since then he has he been invited ?

You are just a typical example of a Nigeria coach with no clue

Oga, where is Ideye playing currently?

All those talks doesn't add up.

if age shouldn't be our concern, then we might as well carry U-17 boys as well.

Why stop at the likes of Martins? Let's call in Okocha, Kanu, Ikpeba, Eguaveon and everyone else from the golden era of our football, at least their contributions to the Super Eagles were far better than that of Martins, abi?

BTW, you and who has Semi-finals as a target? Cuz last I checked, Rohr never mentioned anything about that.

You better tone down your expectations, because all the eligible players above 30 will not even carry us out of group stage, even less to Semi-finals

What I wrote there, is it true or false?

He didn't do squat!? Says who?

Are you also insinuating that Onyekuru was invited to the camp but he couldn't do squat?

Double standard everywhere.

You had better get angry quickly.

Ejide has never been poor in the SE shirt. In the friendly match against Scotland, he was pushed and the ball slipped through his hands. It could happen to anyone. I watched the game myself, so I saw what happened. Personally, I will like to see both Dele and Ejide be given a chance. I believe the two of them are better than what we parade at present.

tbaba1234:

The team still finished undefeated.. Even the best teams in the world are not excellent in every game.

Ejide was very poor in the friendlies leading to the 2014 WC. In the game against Scotland, he appeared to have thrown the ball deliberately into the net.

You can see for yourself:

Stop being a child. I love my country and want the best for the team. We don't have to agree on player selections; it doesn't mean I am downplaying the effort of the team.

Talk about delusions of grandeur! A team that couldn't qualify for the AFCON on two separate occasions, now expected to make the semi finals of the World Cup or else it's a disaster, right?

Our people are unbelievable!

so, you complained of the quality of play against Cameroon and Algeria. Then, the play was good against Argentina, then dropped again againsy Serbia and Poland.

If we go by the trend, they will most likely play great against Croatia, scrape a win against Iceland and draw Argentina

Leave the coach to worry about what he needs to put in place to achieve his target.

Ideye is very hardworking and links up play well but his finishing is poor.

Umar is strong, fast and skilful, also holds up play well but can do better with finishing.

Dessers, better finisher than Umar and Ideye, good on both feet but not as strong as them

Kayode, fast and disturber in chief, closes the ball better than the rest, finishing average, not great in holding up play..
Spot on!!
Dessers tops them all in movement, and i would rate his technique good. A good finisher but seems rorh is looking for an all round striker. I called for umar a while back for a call up but some were sceptical because he Hadn't gotten games.

I don't understand why people can't understand the goal of going to the world Cup.

If Cameroon goal was to build team for another 10 years and decided to drop Rogger Milla, how can dey reach quarterfinals?

We are going to the world Cup to win or achieve with the best we have hence the best must be called to fulfil the task regardless of age or color.

But the coach is worried too. Combing Europe for strikers at the moment. No one is as worried as he is and I believe the quality of play worries him as it worries every right thinking Nigerian.

he is reinforcing, you'd have to know him personally to know if he was worried. Rohr never stated he was worried

I wonder what Argentina's coach will be doing by now if Rohr is worrying.

He is worried. Rohr has always showed his worries concerning the goalkeeping department.

Anyway, I suppose you believe Rohr is not worried and he is super confident of landing the trophy with ease. I don't understand what concerns Argentina in this matter.

Anyway, time to go. Need to go and watch Arsenal match. Care to join me grin

landing what trophy? You think Rohr is looking for a trophy?

I think your expectations are too high and that is why you're so worried. You went from S/final, to talks of a trophy. How?

Anyway, my phone is about to die, so, no match for me

Yes, after witnessing 4 world cups fraught with disappointment and tears, you can't expect my expectations not to be high.

Southgate come and defend ur wonder kid

Dominic Iorfa has been injured and struggling with injury which has affected his form and opportunities.

In addition he leaves Wolves where he was getting consistent game time and he has simply not performed according to the manager Mick.

Kayode will probably struggle too if he played with the midfield we did in the friendlies. He loves through balls and hustles really hard, but his hold up play doesn't look that good from the few games I've watched of him.
