But ppu here won't admit ..d guy football I.Q is too low smiley
I'd say he would have been world class... The guy is just all pace and little brain. He is the most inconsistent in the Eagle's line up. I only like seeing him being brought in later in games...

if age shouldn't be our concern, then we might as well carry U-17 boys as well.

Why stop at the likes of Martins? Let's call in Okocha, Kanu, Ikpeba, Eguaveon and everyone else from the golden era of our football, at least their contributions to the Super Eagles were far better than that of Martins, abi?

BTW, you and who has Semi-finals as a target? Cuz last I checked, Rohr never mentioned anything about that.

You better tone down your expectations, because all the eligible players above 30 will not even carry us out of group stage, even less to Semi-finals

I think you didnt understand me...all these guys you mentioned[Okocha,Kanu,Eguavon, etc] are no longer playing active football...I said old players ON FORM,meaning they play week in week out in their clubs. Thats my position. Nobody is going to the world cup to make up the numbers. This is not Olympics. You qualify to go and win by all means[including using active old players] according to FIFA rules. We are not going to the world cup for a jamboree. We want to be on the podium, simple.

I don't understand why people can't understand the goal of going to the world Cup.

If Cameroon goal was to build team for another 10 years and decided to drop Rogger Milla, how can dey reach quarterfinals?

We are going to the world Cup to win or achieve with the best we have hence the best must be called to fulfil the task regardless of age or color.

We want to win. We want the best. We want ALL who can give us the world cup, pure and simple..We are not going with academy players...we want to go into records books. Why did we qualify at all,if we did not want to win? Why is Rohr combing Europe looking for more players? He wants to win. Simple. Please when i say age, read experience. Experience is better in a world cup bound team than any other attribute sef

we don't change the winning team. Our boyz has done us proud. No need to press the panic button. They will rise up to the occasion. 2014 we were not that good yet we gave Argentina a huge scare with mediocre players like Babatunde, etc. Also France had to rely on an enyeama mistake to score us remember we had a good goal disallowed.
Our first 11 we match any team in the world.

We have been fidgeting about Uzoho....why do some people want Enyeama back? Dele Einyenuoba[CORRECT THE SPELLING PLEASE],Ejide,is it not because of AGE and FORM? All those going to the world cup want to win..and they are going with their best, regardless of age,as far as the player can fit into the coach s plan.

Bros, this is not true o....Those skills you saw were neither doctored nor film tricks. That guy was an extremely talented and skillful player, you just have to give it to him.
I saw him play with my korokoro eyes. He's like a quicker Kanu Nwankwo. At a point he was details away from signing for either Stoke city or Newcastle.

It is rather unfortunate his career was cut short when he signed a bad contract with Boavista which ended in litigation at CAS. Nigerians singled and took out their frustrations on him because of his conspicuous looks and long dreads, most of whom do not know how talented he was .

very true, I just finish watching his clip, maybe he was not serious enough to reach his potential, talent is not enough

People saying umar is weak are wrong his hold up play is very good, and he outmuscles defenders! He is a physical specimen who the brings an unorthodox, unique style of directness using the size of his body like his chest and foot to good effect. His balance is his weakness, which can greatly improved on.
Come to think of it Kanu wasent the strongest or a balanced player but he used his trickery to great effect, umar had that!!!
I watched clips of Sadiq Umar this afternoon. He's not neat in his moves. Kanu had smoothness even though he was tall. There's something quite unorganised about that Sadiq. It's the same thing I saw in Uzoho in the course of the last two friendlies. I can't place my hand on it but I see it.

Only two games is not enough to right Ideye off.

He's still better than Dessers and Umar.

I know people will not focus on what Ogbeche can bring to the table but his age to discredit him.

Kayode Olanrewaju is far ahead of these two players. He brings more to the team.

If we look at Dessers stats in Eredivise, it's not impressive neither is Sadiq Umar's impressed in Seria A.

However, Kayode Olanrewaju has impressed in all the leagues in went to including la Liga.

he didnt do well in La liga, 0 goals in 12 matches is cool,

[Brown Ideye is currently doing well in la Liga. Let us give him respect

What did Mikel Obi do for us before 2013 after almost a decade in the National team?

It is a big lost to Nigeria because there are no striker as competent as Martins Obafemi currently in the National team. Oh.. ha!

I just confirmed you are really tribalistic

Ideye is very hardworking and links up play well but his finishing is poor.

[Umar is strong, fast and skilful, also holds up play well but can do better with finishing.

Dessers, better finisher than Umar and Ideye, good on both feet but not as strong as them

Kayode, fast and disturber in chief, closes the ball better than the rest, finishing average, not great in holding up play..
Truly based on your say so I went to watch Umar clips. I swear I didn't see him any better than he was at the Olympics ooo. Not writing him off just expressing my opinion.

Sincerely, this Nigerian team is a disaster waiting to happen.

We are lacking in both the striking and goalkeeping department and our midfield is basically nonexistent. Supposing something happens to Mikel before or during the World Cup, what would be our fate?

Rohr needs to do something fast about the goalkeeping department. The goalkeeper trainers need to show some urgency. I don't and can never be comfortable with Uzoho, Ezenwa or Akpeyi manning the post. Perhaps, they should invite Austin Ejide next time.

We don't have gk. Uzoho no be am abeg. Against Argentina he was so smooth. The Uzoho I saw in the last two friendlies is the real Uzoho. We no get keeper.

Ejide has never been poor in the SE shirt. In the friendly match against Scotland, he was pushed and the ball slipped through his hands. It could happen to anyone. I watched the game myself, so I saw what happened. Personally, I will like to see both Dele and Ejide be given a chance. I believe the two of them are better than what we parade at present.

The earlier (and it's becoming later) we face this reality the better. I used to cry for Uzoho to be given the chance. Do you know the day I lost faith totally in Uzoho? The day Tbaba1234 posted his clips. What I saw pierced my heart and killed every belief I had in Uzoho. During the friendlies I didn't even watch the match like we had gk. It was better for me psychologically that way.

The problem is ppl are misunderstanding the difference between strength and balance..Sodiq like most African players have great strength but lack proper balance...that's why he easily falls down at high speed..but his hold up play is great also..

Messi on the other hand has great balance but lil strength..ppl think because messi doesn't fall down easily is because he has strength which he doesnt, his high pace, trickery and great balance with close control makes it hard to get him of the ball without fouling him..

Sir,sometimes our invitations bring questions,is Rohr not aware that we have two experience Keeper in Isreali league, was iit not the same league that Rohr saw Ogu and Nwakaeme.

I know that Uzoho,Ezenwa and Akpeyi are not better than Dele and Ejide unless we want to be sentimental.

Dele and Ejide should be given chance to compete and let's see competition.

Please take the time to watch a full game.. He did not make the team of the week back to back by being average.

I have watched his full games and i believe that he will trouble defences. He still has some weaknesses but to say he is the same as 2016 is inaccurate.

Uzoho is not a bad GK. He is young and in my opinion is already getting better.

He was not bad in the second half against Poland or Serbia. Anyone with a keen eye can see that he has great potential.

I am not sure, he is ready for the WC but he can do a decent job.
