Kayode that I know is not an in-box player. Can't deputise Ighalo nor can he hold up play. I'm talking of a proper 9 here. Kayode to me is more of a forward (winger) than a CF.
forgiveness:

Ask AC Roma, dey will tell you Kayode scared the life out of them with his two goals and assist in Europa League over two matches.

Don't forget, he scored against an Italian defensive team twice. I don't think it's is moi moi.

Kayode Olanrewaju is far better than Dessers and Umar combined.

Those two lads are not in his level.

Give him the chance to prove himself and he will deliver.

Oh I forgot Martins is not Nigerian and only those you like are Nigerians and are Ronaldo or Messi according to you. Enjoy your folly.
safarigirl:
lol, na you lose o, Nigeria no lose anything. When no be say Martins na CR7 or Messi, he no even be Salah grin.

If out of over 180 million people, Martins is the best we can offer as a striker, is it not shameful?

Abeg, goan lick your wounds inside your room, no dey cry for this thread grin

"lose" means if Rohr was looking at his direction as a tested forward, that option is gone. Get it?
Certitude:

How we take lose? Martins hasn't played for us for... I can't tell how long. What has he done for us since the 2010 WC?

You dey mind the late 90s- 2000s pikins? From their posts, you'll surely know them.
forgiveness:

What did Mikel Obi do for us before 2013 after almost a decade in the National team?

It is a big lost to Nigeria because there are no striker as competent as Martins Obafemi currently in the National team. Oh.. ha!

Kayode will scatter goals every week in and out in the league Umar and Dresser are currently.

Defense wise, that league is rubbish! I hardly watch 45 mins cos it's just too easy!
tbaba1234:

You will always say Kayode is the best, he is one of your favorite players alongside Ajagun, ilori.. ..

Kayode finishing is average, when he went to a better league, it showed.. Ideye was scoring a lot in Ukraine but when the standard was higher he could not produce.

Umar had limited opportunities in Serie A but he showed his ability in pre season and now in the Eredivise. In his recent games, he has made me a believer in his abilities. He still needs to improve on his finishing. His finishing is not good enough yet.

Dessers has one of highest goal scoring rates per minute in the eredivise.

We are so concerned about age at Super Eagle level and world cup team..How old was Roger Milla when Cameroon made that history[quarter final]. If it is age group level, its ok..but this is a super eagle team that is going to world cup to reach semi-final...that is a our target.. We are not building a team for 2022 now..Our intention is to go far in this competition,if some thirty year olds ON FORM can bring us the cup...why not? We won the cup ,pure and simple...After winning all the old guys are dropped FOREVER from the team. We in are in the record books as a winner of world cup.. Then we start building a new team with left-over young guys, Pragmatism is real

grin grin.....d old guys can be dropped for forever!

Good, now can Dessers and Umar perform better than Kayode in La liga with the same condition Kayode operated?

For the kind of team, Kayode played for, he should have had more games. He had a lot of opportunities but for a striker, if you are not scoring, you will be benched.

I think, Dessers and Umar could have at least gotten one goal if given the number of games Kayode had.

Just watched some clips of Sodiq umar games for NAC Breda and o gotta say, he hasn't changed much from the Sadiq of 2016 Olympics.. Good positioning, but he lacks balance.... he falls down a lot...

I don't see him making our World Cup list.. But if he can improve on his performance, he will definitely make it to Qatar 2022

And seriously, you folks should chill with the way u clamour for new players in the SE.. Barring any injury, I don't expect to see more than 2 new faces in the final 23 list, and it's not because of lack of better players... some coaches just like to work with a squad they are very familiar with....

What exactly is this "he falls down a lot"? Kanu Nwankwo fell down a lot, he did not make him a bad player....

The weekend will soon be here, i hope some take the time out to watch some games..

Let us be clear, I am not clamoring for Umar to join the team now or even make the WC list but he is in fine form and has improved drastically.

Please spare awhile and read how Neymar's mega transfer distorted the European transfer market. I would have referenced another 100 articles on the subject but that will be an over overkill.

Barcelona got money and spent it and only one of the clubs they spent it(Liverpool) with ran out and splashed. This did not raise every single player's price. If anything it is the EPL that has collectively spiked the price of players with their big spending.

Musa is disturbing Arsenal defence. Would've been a good striker if he had a higher football IQ.

This is really what musa is lacking...the game against arsenal summarized everything about Musa..he is very quick, very hard working, good penetration, poor passing, poor crosses, poor finishing...also add that to his low football IQ..if Musa's finishing was good coupled with his pace, he would have been a real asset to any team...all he truly has is pace and nothing else..

Musa had a good game..

I think what Musa lacks is a good foundation.. Looks at how easily, he gets past players.. With the proper technique, he would have been a great player.

Uzoho's last game

He had some decent saves here, including one very good save..

Got a hand on the penalty but was unlucky

Our teams need to be more professional and send an advance team to see what is on ground for them

Number of games as a substitute? I think he only started 2, he had 2 assists though.

Well for now, I can't say you're right or wrong, we are just assuming what could have happened if Umar or Dessers were to be in that same team. Maybe they aren't even good enough to leave for a better league?

Yea son, it's Martins, the one outperforming your top 9 in the same Chinese league even at his age, the one still clocking minutes more than your top 9.

Yea, your top 9 scored how many goals for the SE in 15 games? Yea sure, we are scoring goals. I forgot the job of a top 9 already.

Oh it's to score goals? Nooo, it's to press defenders.... Nooo it's to wait until there is a Mikel in the midfield before he can at least have 3 targets on goal in a 90 mins game.

Sing me another song Son.

Sir,sometimes our invitations bring questions,is Rohr not aware that we have two experience Keeper in Isreali league, was iit not the same league that Rohr saw Ogu and Nwakaeme.

I know that Uzoho,Ezenwa and Akpeyi are not better than Dele and Ejide unless we want to be sentimental.

Dele and Ejide should be given chance to compete and let's see competition.

I believe the Nigeria goalkeeper coach is the reason for all this issues, keepers get better with age, experience has a lot of role to play in goalkeeping, Uzoho has alot of prospect but that is not enough.

An avoidable mistake could cost is our chances, one of Ejide or Aiyenugba should be invited to steady the ship, I will prefer Ejide though

Are you talking about players who have already made their name from the top leagues in the world before going to China? Can you see the fault in your thought process?
I think you should say that to yourself...
if you think that Ighalo and Martins who could barely pass the mark of 20 goals a season despite the game time in a Chinese league with mediocre Chinese players....could do same in netherland then you have to think again....

I still remember how Wolfsburg under 23 team whipped mikel's team....during preseason...you can Google the Chinese teams preseason result with small European clubs to see how they were grossly beaten...and you think so old legs can replicate same performance of old in the dutch league....
you are currently living in the past....

the dutch league defenders might be very poor...but not as bad as those Chinese players......

Uzoho is not a bad GK. He is young and in my opinion is already getting better.

He was not bad in the second half against Poland or Serbia. Anyone with a keen eye can see that he has great potential.

I am not sure, he is ready for the WC but he can do a decent job.

I am pro Uzoho but the question is why manage when we have people that can do a better job, Uzoho should be in Russia but not starting, he has good prospect but I doubt he can deal with the naija pressure.

Alloy Agu should be sacked, his fraud
