I just got an official mail from MUN concerning my admission. I wasn't granted admission owing to the sole reason that there's no available supervisor. Surprisingly I don't feel bad about this one bit, cos I strongly beleive in God's plan. Success to you all in all your endeavors! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Hello guys, a friend got this response from MUN; Unfortunately, your application can not be accepted due to limited seats in the M.Eng/PhD programs. However, you may be eligible for the course-based MASc programs. Please review program information at http://www.mun.ca/engineering/graduate/. If you wish to be considered for one of these programs, please kindly file an application at http://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/apply/. Then, please advisexxxxxxxxxx your name and student number to ensure all supporting documents are indexed to the new application. All the best in your future endeavor! What does it really mean? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Aghatise: 12:59am On Apr 06, 2018 |
I think you might be eligible for the course based program; all you need to do is apply for it from link provided. In this case, you don't need to provided supporting docs again - just contact Christine. What department did you apply to? I still dey await decision ooo Ocean Engineering Phocusjosh: |

Aghatise: I think you should also contact the stated person to see if you can qualify for a waiver of the second application fee. Not guaranteed, but it’s worth a try. Make it quick because decisions are been made and spots are filling up so quickly. |

Good day everyone. Does having professors as my references increase my chances of getting admitted into graduate school? I'm asking because I have a good rapport with my undergraduate junior lecturers but not familiar with my undergraduate professors. Moreover, most professors might not accept to send mails or log in to answer questions(as required by some schools). I need guidance, please. |

Josh1996: Pay one year, as that is what CIC too would ask you to pay if they want to approve you, but are unsure of your financial capability. |

Luckyway: Makes no difference, go with the lecturer if he know s you better than the professor. It’s importany to go with someone who knows you well and can speak volumes about you in recommendation. Quality not title is the watchword. |

Guys I'll be glad if I can be helped with this. I intend using my mom's elder Brother as a Co sponsor. In order to prove relationship, I'll surely need her birth certificate, but it's lost. However she has a declaration of age from a court. The issue here is that the surname she used on the declaration of age was that of my dad, not her surname before marriage. Can it be used that way? My thought was that the surname should be the same as that of her brother. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 12:17pm On Apr 06, 2018 |
sheriff88:This is kinda mumbled jumbled. You speak of your mom’s elder brother as consponsor, asking that her surname is not your dad’s, but her name before marriage. I can only guess you asking about your mother? Do a new declaration of age with her name bearing your dad’s. Takes only a few minutes of walking into a court and picking a form and filling it out. 1 Like |
