Good day everyone. I'm 30 years old this year and applying for an advanced diploma in a Canadian college. My first question is: is it too late to apply for fall admission in September though application is still open to the college i'm applying to.
Second question is: do I need to do the ielts exam and what's the required permissible score.

Before you even apply for admission, ensure you have good and cogent reasons to give to the visa officer about why you have chosen an advanced diploma(this is below a degree) and why you intend to spend huge funds obtaining it in Canada as against Nigeria. You will also need to explain all you have been doing till date. And yes, in your case, your age may raise a little eyebrow during your study permit application but if you can convince them enough, it MIGHT matter less.

You really need to think this move before you decide. There is a lot about 'purpose of visit' hovering around it already. If you have a very genuine reason for going for this program, then you can proceed otherwise, it will be highly unlikely to convince the officers seated in Accra.

I finished with a 2.2 in geography. Most of their schools don't accept 2.2. Another thing is i'm now into IT. I have professional IT certifications to back up my years of experience. I'm thinking (Not sure) my certifications will clarify any doubts about my career change. About the Advanced diploma being lower than a degree, i don't have any academic background in IT (bsc) which is a requirement for a Masters. I'm only eligible for a Pgd.

Apply alone, using you and son as home ties. When in Canada, he can process a SOWP for you to join along with son. Applying for a visiting visa is very hard to get. Here is a link that tells you the process of applying for a SOWP to join your husband in Canada.

1. why you want to study in Canada, why not Nigeria?
2 Why study advanced Business Administration
3. Prospects of Employment upon Return to Nigeria
4. Why you think you would return to Nigeria and factors that would induce your return
5. Plans upon returning to Nigeria

Yes there is some correlation with working in the bank as a loan officer and the desire to go for training in Business Administration. Work hard to fine tune and narrow that relationship in your SOP. You can tell the VO that you are going for Business Administration based on your experience in the bank with day to day business transaction within the bank; that a degree from Canada is highly respected in Nigeria and will greatly advance promotion and upward mobility within your company and the private sector in Nigeria at large-should you choose to go that route.

Finally make sure you got enough evidence of money in the bank or even pay one year tuition in advance and transfer 10k into a dorm account since they seem to have problems with your ability to finance your education.

The people required to write LOR for you are the lecturers that taught you, your course advisor or thesis supervisor. These are the people that can write recommendation letter for you and link it to the performance of their courses you took.

And also can I apply to more than one university? And how early should I start the applications.

Is it a must a lawyer should draft deed of transfer for me, because I have approach high court probate registry section, in the state where the house is and I wish to take letter of administration,

For letter of administration
They said I should just come with 2passport of next of kin, 3k for court payment to be paid in bank, 10k for publication of notice e in newspaper incase anybody want to object to it.

My question is that since they did not request for deed of transfer or deed of gift, and they want to give me the letter of administration, does that cover me to be owner of my father's house now and does letter of administration only recognized at Canadian embassy as me being ownership of the house

(this deed of gift I did not undertand it ).

You don't need to notarize after the valuation and survey is done. A lawyer can be able to craft a Deed of Transfer for you. There is also a sample of you google to help you see that it's not rocket science. Since your dad is dead, it's better than as a change from your mother to you or whoever is on the original documents. C of O is a long time to get, so please get a letter from government or even local government saying the land is legitimately your dads

It's better you go through the process yourself. Its not rocket science. It takes time but if you do it well, it will be time well spent.

Your cgpa seems high so also is admission very competitive. With a good or well written statement of purpose and good referee's report, you should be fine. A good work experience will also aid your application

Some schools consider the last two years of study while others use the whole years of study.

No time is too early to start. Once your chosen schools open the application portal, apply as soon as possible and yes, you can apply to more than one school. But i would suggest you make it a blend of high ranking schools, middle ranking and low ranking, to increase your chances.

Hi. CAQ is a document you need to be admitted into Quebec. I applied for mine 2 weeks ago and sent the hard copies of the documents to Quebec since 2 weeks but yet to get acknowledgement that they got it. It's a straightforward process. All you need is data page of your passport, a passport photogragh and copy of admission letter with a pay of CAD 105

When did this change happen because just last week on the CIC website, filling out for someone, it was the one with siblings that we encountered. Good to know. The old one has started misbehaving, going blank on us when asked to save. So we are resorting to the new one. I will advice that people go with their guts on which one is better. I am pretty sure CIC would honor the old one too.
