I wonder how some peeps watch football calling for sadiq to lead the line of super eagles attack,a player who is yet to score 10 career goals, just because the player has scored 3 goals in his last 6 games for nac Breda.

I guess some people here are sadiq umar relatives

Only someone with dull brain and know nothing about football will call for sadiq to lead the line.

I still thank God they are not the coach because their opinion doesn't count

Bro, yes I am very angry. I expected Real to get knocked out yesterday so I could troll their fans the same way they trolled us on Tuesday, but I wasn't holding my breath tho because I know that it was Real Madrid. I honestly did predict a phantom penalty and/or a red card against Juve.

The whole thing is becoming a pattern and I think it's about time all soccer fans speak up. It's one thing if it happens once or twice, but not 4 times in the past 2 years. That's totally unacceptable.

The Barca board has disappointed us tremendously. I spent several hours ON TWITTER yesterday bashing Josep Maria Bartomeu. I even asked him to resign, effective immediately. That front office is a hot mess - wasting money on the wrong players and on players who are cup-tied.

They let Danny Alvez go without getting a good replacement. They let Javier Mascherano go without getting a good replacement. Xavi left no replacement. Puyol left no replacement. Sergio Busquets is aging, no replacement. Andres Iniesta is aging but I don't see Coutinho as a good replacement for him. Different types of players. Luis Suarez is aging, no replacement in sight. And I can go on and on ....

They want Messi to do it all by himself. News Flash: no one can do it all by himself. It takes 11 players!

I still insist that Rohr needs to do something fast about our goalkeeping department. He should invite Ejide and/or Ayenugba for our next friendly.

Also, he should reserve Mikel and let Iwobi play centrally. We don't have time.

Nna, I definitely do. My ex gf at that time even threatened to get me committed "if I don't knock it off". And that was because she was getting worried (scared) of my reactions after that loss to Denmark in the 1998 World Cup. I couldn't eat or sleep for almost 48 hours ... and the poor girl thought that I had lost my mind sad

Bros there is no rule to it, sometimes you hear a big player is training with a team because he is clubless and the next thing, they signed him. Ogbuke with his years in Europe went for trial in boton

Obasi was inactive. Without a club.. Ofcourse the club wants to see if he can still deliver.

True sha. But in my case, I think it was because I didn't watch the match - finals against Cameroun - live. There was no Bein Sport to telecast AFCON in those days, so the shock was a little less.

I fear the aftermath of messi departure cause calamity looms and nobody seems to be noticing from the Barca board...just hope messi won't be the scapegoat at the end of this drama people easily forget the good times.

Trial is an agreement between the club and player, some player won't go for trial and still get the deal, some managers only wanna see clip of you and you are good to go.

let me give you example Ferguson said he never saw Bebe play untill until he paid for him, Bebe a young lad got a big team without trail. Bebe can't get a deal without trail in arsenal

Ferguson does not need to see anyone play. That is why they have a scouting team. You can not scout an inactive player.

You are missing it up, Bebe never had a trial, he was signed and he was a young fela, ogbuke was not in active, he was with Aik in Sweden and was loan to China, sven Goran Ericson was his coach in China, played 17 times and scored 5 goals. he became a free agent at the end of norway league and fear of been clubless drove hin to accept a trial in bolton

Ogbuke with good agent can get a good team in Europe first division without trial

Obasi was training lone without a club alongside Anichebe.. He had no club at the time.

Bebe was signed from a Portuguese team, meaning he could have easily been scouted..

Some situation may warrant us taking one of the DM off maybe Onazi and play Ndidi, Mikel and iwobi. imagine 70min Nigeria 0 -1 Iceland Nigeria 1-0 Iceland. Fixed!

That was a nightmarish score-line you posted there .

From your statement it seems as if you started off with two DMs, which I would not recommend against a team like Iceland (no disrespect meant).
Mikel, Onazi, Ndidi and Iwobi are potential starters. It depends also on your set up. Are you currently on 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 3-5-2 etc. If a team is chasing a game, depending also on the balance of play, the best bet is to pull out a DM and bring in a striker or Supporting striker/Wing forward.

That is possibly one factor but that is not all... If the NPFL players were showing top quality, clubs would not mind recruiting staff to scout in Nigeria.
.
If they can buy top talent for cheap and sell at a higher rate, it only helps their bottom line

The truth is that several Nigerian players go abroad with top resumes from the Nigerian league but end up bang average or worse. There are several examples of this

Can I add the issue of there is no AUTOMATIC BIRTH CORROBORATED DATA CAPTURE in Nigeria. We all know what goes well don't need to expand it.

Do you think European clubs are not aware of this issue. They but they are prepared to work with it.

Good agent is not really the appropriate term but a connected agent. In my experience each club and it's manager will have thier preferred agent (I am being diplomatic). No agent will bring a dead player to a club. You will have to be good enough not necessarily outstanding just good enough. That transfer will be mounted almost in its entirety on the agents relationship with the manager and club dynamics.

No matter the agent Ogbuke will not find himself in the EPL or La Liga. The level he has been playing in recent years is simply not good ( Norwegian league) add to that his age.

In this regard getting to Bolton a struggling relegation side which really doesn't play good football and pay high wages. From Ogbuke perspective a good deal.

Yes o Tammy i saw against Man utd was solid, forcing De Gea to make two wonderful safes less than 5 mins when he came on and gave man u defenders restlessness throughout but not happy the guy turned us down.

Sadiq upgrade of Tammy? No not at present may be tomorrow.Tammy is ahead and the record are there for us to see not just talk.

Add to your observation Tega Abrahams is younger and has played at a much much higher level and way more games it will take Sadiq 4 years to catch up if he ever does.

84 games compared to 20 is a HUGE GULF.

Ezenwa was subbed off cos of ankle injury, seems the same ankle that forced him out against Sudan, better for him to get better treatment cos WC is near.

It would be a risk taking Ezenwa to world cup if he doesn't fully recover from his injuries..he is most likely our first team goalie, he has barely played 3 games this year..God help us, this is not looking good for us at all..he would lack match sharpness and this is even an average GK at best...
