dont forget Mandzukic is a player that know's how to use his head , the team played to his strength , remove Douglas Costa , and see how ordinary Mandzukic is .
They have Perisic so it's the same thing. Croatia are going to be very difficult.

LOL. What about your boy CR7 getting trounced 3-0 in his own backyard? And usual have to rely on that atrocious last second penalty to qualify? Tell you what, Barca would be winning the UCL every year if they could get half the calls Real Madrid gets. For instance, Roman would've received more than two red cards on Tuesday if the nasty kicks their players directed at Messi were given to Ronald. That's a fact!

And yesterday's call was as bizarre as it gets. Never a penalty, the Madrid player (Lucas) clearly dived as he wasn't in control of the ball approached him. Placing your hands on someone's back doesn't justify diving. It's a contact sports. Free kick Juventus.

Those saying it was 100% penalty obviously know absolutely nothing about football. Real Madrid players were going down like flies all game. Was only a matter of time before he gave them a penalty. Ronaldo tried at least twice by falling over in the box when a Juve player got anywhere near him. The powers that be have destroyed the beautiful for all of us sad

Look very well, will you say thesame if that was the last chance of the game for messi to score and progress to the semi finals?

Actually, Peter Olayinka is better going by your judgement. grin
I knew that was a trick question.

How can you support a non-Yoruba person?

Anyway, I neither care for Samuel Kalu nor Peter Olayinka, if you've noticed, I have never called for either player.

So, my judgment shouldn't mean anything. I was the only one nice enough to indulge you sef grin

Thank you for posting these photos. They definitely made my point.

First, you can see from the pic that Bentia never pushed Lucas. Yes, he had hand on his back but football is a contact sports. And you can see clearly that Lucas was already falling without any push or any kick at all. He deserved a yellow card for diving!
Second, you can see clearly that there was no foul. Benatia won (kicked) the ball from behind - that's a legit play.
Finally and most importantly, the fact that he gave the penalty on what's supposed to be last kick of the regular time shows how dodgy the penalty call was.

Here are a few questions for you:
1. Do you think that the ref would've given that call if Real were leading by say, 3-0? I seriously doubt it.
2. Do you think that the ref would've given that call if happened in Real Madrid's box? I doubt it

FACT: The match was already sold and bought. And the ref was looking for just a slightest excuse to formalize it. He started by issuing unnecessary yellow cards to Juve defenders. By the 70th minute or even earlier, 3 of Juve's 4 defenders were already on yellow cards and the ref was waiting for any slight excuse to send somebody off. But Juve were experienced players; hence, Michael Oliver grew desperate and made that last second call. He felt that he wouldn't risk an extra time because Juve was already playing for the extra time and they still have 2 subs left; whereas the Madrid players have already been stretched and were falling like pack of cards!

And by the way, if this was done by a Barca players, you will not stop hearing about it for the next 10 years.

It's a rigged system, bro. The gamblers and big businesses have taken over the game.

To me the only time Iwobi should play from the wings is when Mikel is in the game.
From long ago Joebie and I have hammered on this point that Iwobi can play the Mikel role but many countered us. I think - if I am not mistaken - that it is only recently that you are looking at Iwobi to fill that gap.

Playing him from the wings whether for club or country is a waste.

I still insist that Rohr needs to do something fast about our goalkeeping department. He should invite Ejide and/or Ayenugba for our next friendly.

Also, he should reserve Mikel and let Iwobi play centrally. We don't have time.
I support the call for Aiyenugba and Ejide. Those three musky gk we have now are no musketeers. They are a flop

I don't think you had joined this thread when TheGoodJoe and I argued about who was a better number 10 between Iwobi and Aluko.
