Ex-Nigeria U20 skipper Abdul Ajagun was on target for Kortrijk as they claimed a 2-0 win over Lierse in the Belgian First Division A playoffs on Saturday.

Jeremy Perbet opened the scoring for the visitors at the Herman Vanderpoortenstadion in the 33rd minute, bundling home the ball from a corner.

Twelve minutes into the second half, Ajagun made it 2-0 when he capitalized on a loose ball after a shot was blocked by goalkeeper Rakovsky.

The number eight has been directly involved in 13 goals ( 8 goals, 5 assists) from 34 appearances in all competitions this season.

As a result of the win, Kortrijk are second in Group A of the UEFA Europa League playoffs with six points, one less than Peter Olayinka's Zulte-Waregem, and their Nigerian star is the club's joint-leading scorer in the playoffs.

Up next, Glen De Boeck's side welcome OH Leuven to Guldensporenstadion on Tuesday.

Not trying to drag this matter but 'Igbo enwe Eze' means another entirely different thing. Of course every Igbo town has it's own King, be it the Onitsha region or Abia region. The term simply implies that we do not have a general Igbo king, if you go to Aro to talk about Obi of Onitsha, who cares? Unlike in the North where Emirs and Sultans are widely revered and even the Yorubas' have theirs
