Out of curiosity, I checked out the stat of our top performing players in the Belgian league that have been sources of heated arguments on the thread.... 1. Peter Olayinka Club: Zulte Waragem Age: 22 Position: Centre forward Position played most this season(in order of most app): Left wing, centre forward, right wing, sec.striker, AMF App: 34 Goals:8 Assist: 14 2. Samuel Kalu Club: Gent Age: 20 Position: Winger Position most played: Right wing, right midfield App: 32 Goals: 6 Assist: 8 3. Moses Simeon Club: Gent Age:22 Position: Winger Post most played in: Left wing, left midfield, supporting striker, right wing App: 28 Goals: 5 Assist:2 4. Henry Onyekuru Club: Anderlecht Age: 20 Position: Winger Position most played in: left wing, left midfield, AMF App: 28 Goals:10 Assist:0 5. Taiwo Awoniyi Club: Royal Mouscron Age:20 Position: CF Position most played in: CF,LW,SS App:31 Goals:10 assist: 7 Apps: in all competition for the 2017/2018 season... Source: transfermarket NB: according to transfer market, Peter has 33 appa and 13 assist buy according to forgiveness, he got another one recently ..so. ... Stats, they say don't lie...if we are to judge them by their stats, who deserves a call up the most? 3 Likes |

Danielnino00: Going by this statistics Simon Moses should not even be invited at all. But statistics is not the only criterion for players selection. Forget about what people have been saying about Samuel Kalu and Peter Olayinka. Simon and Onyekuru are ahead of them in the pecking order. Not forgetting that we still have wingers like V. Moses, Ahmed Musa and even Iwobi in the team. I have never called for the inclusion of Olayinka, Awoniyi and Kalu to this team because for now we don't need them. None of them deserves a call-up yet. Period. 2 Likes |

On Sir Danielnino00's post: Awoniyi's stats have been catching my attention in recent days even when I was hardly here... But Olayinka too has beautiful stats... Odd how i have missed out on that... 14 assists!! Damn!... Guys... I have seen him play too ooo... He is tall and powerful.. With time shaa, I hope to see them both in the Super Eagles fold... Only with time... For now, Onyekuru and Moses Simon are Rohr's focus in Belgium of which Simon leads others on the Rohr radar. Samuel Kalu is good... And will get his chance too only with time... |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 10:38am On Apr 18, 2018 |
TheSuperNerd: Good stats yes, good stats,.but when you invite some of them to play now you will begin to wonder if those stats were doctored. They are all young players Let them continue playing and gaining more experience. When Rohr feels they are ready he goes for which ever of them. 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by mbjane: 11:02am On Apr 18, 2018 |
Danielnino00: Onyekuru has always been call up till his injury. Peter olayinka and samuel kalu deserve a call up be we all know that dinosaur rohr will not call them up and he already knows his world cup squad 95% even the onyekuru might not go to the world cup because those time he has been called up rohr dont normally use him. Remove Moses simon there because he is a sure banker for the world cup only a last minute injury can stop him. |
