From your stats website - it's 40% - and I have gone ahead to read quartely GDP -and it's oscilliate btw 20-25% - which is very huge - now around 100B dollars - or 150 dollars at it apex. Your agriculture is truly admirable. Brazil can learn a lot from You. The US with world biggest agri sector is merely 180B dollars. Of course we know this is horse manure from Nigeria. obaaderemi: 1 Like |

I am very happy for them - profit of 20K dollars after six years - what did they sell - some asset? must be an exceptional item on their P&L. Nigerians cannot hack in Kenya. If South African can't or Europe companies..please try somewhere else. Actually they made profit after hiring a Kenyan. You can't bring nollywood entertainment nigerian and expect to hack it in Kenya - a very competitive industry. To beginning with the hiring of its first Kenyan Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mwige. You got to be innovative to survive the brutal kenyan market. That kenyan CEO is betting on mobile money. UBA will make money. Sometimes I feel bad for these Nigerian banks..they came and bought small banks for a lot of money..and then huge losses for so long. It like a rip-off. But as you try to enter Kenya - we are slowly working towards Nigeria..Congo and Ethiopia are the next frontier..and watch what our banks are doing in mobile banking in TZ, UG and other...learning from kenya. The future of banking is being written in Kenya. Just imagine when we enter Nigeria with mobile money & commerce - it will happen. Just watch. Safaricom was hobbled by Vodafone -so they took M-PESA and staff and tried to make money from it worldwide- but our Kenyan banks don't have big foreign investors. obaaderemi: |

Nigerian economically and culturally colonizing us. That is joke. Nollywood movies are popular with house girls and such poorly educated kenyans. As regard economy - there are 4 nigerian companies that are the butt of jokes in Nairobi - 3 banks - who came and bought bankrupt banks - and have never made profit ever since ---UBA okay finally made 8 M naira. You don't want to know how much they have invested and the other one...Hellios..it top all...the frenchies orange sold them a thud and they are loosing so much money I weep for them. If south africans can't hack Kenya - why would a nigerian bank think they can - Dangote is still trying to figure out an entry! First build capacity by kicking out south africans in Nigeria before entering Kenya. Try Uganda or Congo or Somalia first. CSTR1003: |

rvp20182:That's why your banks can't make it in Nigeria! They are damn too small. On the other hand Nigerian banks are already eating your lunch in east Africa. I recommend a book for you: Barbarians At The Door. We are already at your door. |

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp20182: 7:52pm On Apr 27, 2018 |
We can merge our banks and have half the banks - but what for. Our banks are not small. We've gone thro this again and again. KCB Group and Equity Bank Group - are in top 25 African banks - and only 5 Nigerian banks are better than them - and not for long - because our banks are growing at some of world fastest growth rate 15-25% per annum - KCB will definitely overtake 4 of your banks in 2-3 yrs. Only Zenith will take longer. obaaderemi: |

We are not burning money like Nigeria banks. Our kenyan banks every year are amongst the most profitable big banks. KCB will definitely beat your top 4 banks in 2-3 yrs. The gap btw it and Access Bank - is so small - KCB will do it this year probably. And Commercial Bank of Africa(Kenyan bank owned by Kenyattas) are already in Ivory Coast . Equity Bank are making the Congolese dance to their Lingala in their banking hall And they are not making losses like Nigerians. I can only imagine what will happen when Nigerian CBN reverse it decision on mobile money and allows telcoms (MTN) to play with the banks..CBA and kenyan banks....will come and save poor Nigerians from the corruption in there. obaaderemi: |

Poor Nigeria Here Buhari's federal budget on education - Naira 600B - or 1.7B dollars --for 200M people. And Kenya is spending $ 4.2B in education. The giant is spending $1.7B and the dwarf $4.2B - and you wonder why Nigerians are illiterate and think vodooism aka nollywood is development. Nigeria - the fulani herdman Buhari - unveil 1.7B dollar budget https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/248663-2018-budget-buhari-allocates-7-education.html Kenya unveils - nearly 3 times that - for nearly 1/5 the kids https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2018/04/27/expenditure-on-education-to-hit-a-record-sh-415-billion-report_c1750408 If you were half-functioning country - you would be spending 30B dollars on education alone - but that's you entire budget |

rvp20182:Nollywood is the second largest employer of labour in Nigeria besides Agriculture. lt employs over a million people already(directly and indirectly). lt has grown into a very large industry in Nigeria, and fashion/textile is growing as well with lots' of foreign interest. |

samsobo24:This is what many Nigerians also try to tell some ignorant people on Skyscrapers.com and other internet platforms. Who needs mpesa, when we have some mobile banking apps too, it's nothing new. Besides oil, Nigeria is strong in finance and banking, with great potential. There is also tech, fashion and entertainment. l visited Apapa lagos some years ago and the city never sleeps, lots of businesses, services, sales going on 24/7. |

rvp20182:Your data is always crooked like data from Kenya Bureau of Statistics. Value of US agriculture is way beyond $180billion. In fact value of it's crop and livestock alone is about $400bn not to talk of forestry and others. See chart below from US department of agriculture. This is more authentic than your nonsensical chart. 1 Like

Danielnino00:Their companies are too small to compete in Ghana not to talk of Nigeria. I think that's what pisses them off. Their insignificance. Of course they will like to play a bigger role in Africa but unfortunately, the size of their economy limits them. They seriously need to build their $50bn economy or countries like Tanzania and Ethiopia will elbow them aside in East Africa. Tusker ko Hustler ni. |

Interswitch is already hitting it hard in the Kenyan banking sector.... Verve debit card are in circulation in Kenya .. https://www.kachwanya.com/2017/03/07/12-banks-in-kenya-sign-to-use-verve-card-the-first-african-card-that-competes-with-visa-and-mastercard/ Interswitch itself entered Kenya by buying 85% of Kenya’s Paynet Holdings in 2014. Paynet started in Kenya in 2003 and is known for a number of innovations including building PesaPoint network of ATMs and agents in Kenya, linking ATMs with M-Pesa and driving the adoption of EMV chip cards. And one dunce here says Nigerian companies can't survive in Kenya.. lmao.. I'm waiting for him to mention one Kenyan company operating in Nigeria (apart from Kenya airways of course ) |
