in dat case, why den should anyone try to sell the name jehova? There are many dialects and many ways people refer to God so, no one should try to make one name seem superior to another

Superior to another? God has only one name, but many titles. Do you even get the point? There is no inferior or superiority. He has only one name Jehovah. You can argue on proper vocalization, which doesn't matter, but He has only one name. If the way it sounds in your dialect is different, that isn't a problem.

u already mentioned d name nd u r asking again? All through the gospels, the followers of Jesus were called disciples of Jesus. Discipleship is a core tradition in Jewish scholarly environment. John the Baptist had disciples, dey were simply called John's disciples.. Even paul d Apostle was called a disciple of Gamaliel.
Jesus disciples were first called Christians at Antioch and as we can see in scripture, they accepted d name.. Acts 26:28,, 1 Peter 4:16

So the fact that the name came quite later doesn't mean you can't refer to Jesus disciples, like Stephen as a Christian. Right?

dat is how you make blanket statements as if u know d whole Bible but on several occasions i av been able to prove dat wrong.. Why didn't any of the new testament writers use YHWH if d name was so sacred? Why wasn't d name mentioned in the book of Esther or u will delete dat from your bible too.. But ur Nwt found a way to replace those words used to refer to God and Lord in d new testament as Jehovah.. Dat is d definition of spurious insertion

Positing that YHWH didn't appear in the NT is accusing Jesus and his disciples of spurious insertion.

Lol no be only envious Inquisition. You cannot answer the question because your uninspired and infallible governing body who are prone to errors in doctrinal matters and organization direction do not have answers.
People who are not even directed by the holy spirit will tell you to obey doctrines they are not even sure off or else you'll be shunned. Lol
You don't have answers na. Are you a born again? You still cannot answer
Well the question makes it obvious that the one asking don't know what he/she needed, Jesus told Nicodemus "you must be born again" and fully explained what it means if you don't know how to read the signs given in the Bible and you've made yourself unteachable just like the Pharisees, a born again Christian will leave you in the dark just as Jesus left the Pharisees who kept asking Him if He's the Messiah after seeing all the evidence! Mark 11:27-33.We're Jehovah's witnesses as i've always told you we've been taught by our Master Lord and King how to respond when mockers come up with their mockery,a skilled witness of Jehovah will NEVER answer you yes or no if you're asking what you suppose to notice yourself!

Mr/Mrs Born Again, what is evident is that God has a PERSONAL name and HE wants all those practicing pure worship to know and sanctify HIS name(Matthew 6:10,John 17:26) so if you think that name is "Jesus" and we're saying it's "Jehovah" there's no need for dispute. Go and declare what you know teaching people to observe all that Jesus has taught because that's the command from Jesus! Matthew 28:19/20 He is not interested in blind arguments on social media,if you're sure of yourself come out publicly and declare what you believe defending it from the Bible so that everyone may know your group to learn from you what they don't know that's all. who says God has only one name? Just go tru Hebrew scripture and see different names of God.. Starting from El, Elohim, Adonay etc

Stephen can be referred to as a Christian, the word is biblical as even Apostle Peter referred to the brethren as Christians.

You're born again na, so go out and preach God's word like the born again in the first century, when they received the power of the Holy Spirit they went out and started preaching and teaching people about Jesus. That's what you're expected to do and not just hiding behind social media arguing blindly like Born Against! anything that you call Jehovah apart from his name is a title. Never ever say that he has many names because in Exodus 3:15 Jehovah spoke from heaven saying "This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation

Do u realize that Elohim appeared 4 times in dat single verse. If u were correct, den why would Moses still refer to God as Elohim 4 times in dis verse?
Like i said, there are many names for God. Elohim is just one, Yahweh another, Adonai another, Theos, Oluwa etc

I can't believe that you are attempting to bedraggle the word of God in this manner.

What about Psalms 83:18 KJV 1611. Do you believe in it?

Did you read the assertive tone and expression of that psalm?

Ok cool.
You are Nigerian, you are Salvation101, you are Christian, you are Yoruba, you are African, you are a daughter you are a sister, you are a nairalander, you are a she, you are a 'you' and you are etc.

When called any of the above, you answer. In 24 hours, your name might only be called 20x while the other calls are titles used to refer to you. You and I have been conversing for months but the truth is that I do not know you. The very first thing you are taught in school is 'presentation'. In Presentation, the next thing after the greeting is a name. It is uniquely important.

Jesus was called the Messiah, God's son, Nazarene, the chosen one, the servant, the Word, the Light, the Carpenter's son etc. Nevertheless, if I ask you his name, you will say 'Jesus'. Why? Why not Emmanuel?

The Bible said that he would be called Jesus. But let us see what his apostle called him when he inquired about his identity from them. Mark 8:29 Peter told him that he was the Christ. And Jesus went ahead to tell him that Jehovah revealed that to him. What was Jesus asking? Evidently, not his name. He was Jesus but here Peter identified him by his role.

Arguing that his titles are his names is like saying that the name of Jesus is Carpenter's son. Will you give a score to that?

Translate that to Jehovah. He gave us his name and the most important thing is that he commanded that he would want to be remembered by that name. Here you are implying and construing self-imploding logical reactions that negate the veracity of the word of God.

You know that Moses used the name. Have you any prove where in the Bible Jehovah commanded his people not to use his use his name?

Why, then, did it disappear from the Bible?

Do you recall this famous statement in Mark 7:8 "You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions"?

That is what happened to the name of God. They effaced the name of God from the holy book which is against the command of Jehovah.

Today, I ask you, are you following the command of men by stating that Psalms 83:18 KJV 1611 is wrong? Is it not the command of God to make people know the name of Jehovah? Didn't that verse say the name of the most high?

If Jesus were here this minute will he not repeat Mark 7:8 to you?

Look at two commands of Jehovah. Exodus 3:15 Then God said once more to Moses:

“This is what you are to say to the Israelites (AND TO SALVATION101), ‘Jehovah the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham,+ the God of Isaac,+ and the God of Jacob,+ has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever,+ and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation

Psalms 83:18
May people(and specifically salvation101) know that you, whose name is Jehovah,+

You alone are the Most High over all the earth.+

When humans with intellect hear something that's puzzling they'll come out openly to admit it but only few do admit when it's about religion, why? Because they'll appear stupid when admitting that what they've been practicing as worship has been wrong all along! It takes great humility to admit it that's why God promised the humble ones everlasting life. Psalm 37:11,Zephaniah 2:3,Matthew 5:5 Who are Jehovah's witnesses? Simply quote "Preachers and teachers of a popular book called Bible" though many religious groups also claims to be Christians but none is as zealous and dedicated as JWs in observing all that Jesus who is called Christ has commanded! Elshaddai is clearly a title - God Almighty. But exclusive to Him, because no one else can be called Almighty.

dat is exactly what i am positing and Jesus or his disciples didn't insert anything.. Its just d way we speak English in Nigeria and not our local dialect.. Little women the entire new testament was written in Greek by d several authors and some few Aramaic words appeared like Jesus crying (Eli Eli Lamasabactani) can you even see on the cross, He called God Eli and and Jehovah. The words translated as Jehovah in ur Bible are "Theos" (Greek word for God) and "Kyrios"(greek word for Lord)...

Of course, I wouldn't say the disciples inserted anything, but your position make it seem so. I will explain.

Jesus may have spoken Aramaic of course, but he also could have spoken Hebrew, Greek.

On the issue of insertion, lets read:

Luke 4:18-19

"Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor. He sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away free, 19 to preach Jehovah’s acceptable year"

The portion Jesus read was from Isaiah 61:1, 2. There, you ll find YHWH twice. Some translations omit the name in Luke 4:18-19. Does it mean the name isn't there? Now research the original manuscript, you ll see that the name YHWH appeared twice in that Isaiah 61:1,2. To assist you, check Strong's Number 3068 or look up an interlinear.

Do you think that the disciples will omit YHWH in that Luke 4:18, since Jesus was reading directly from a scroll containing that name? If you say "God" or "Lord" should be in that Luke, are you not accusing the disciples of insertion?

2. You can call God Eli, Elohim, Elshaddai, Adonai, etc, they are all titles. You can call someone by his title. However, it doesn't mean he doesn't have a proper name. Jesus calling Him Eli isn't wrong, He is Jesus' God. But it doesn't mean you cant call any other person or thing people worship, "El, elohim, Adonai" etc. Jesus could be called Adonai, he deserve the title, but his proper name is Jesus.

If you teach, you could be called a teacher. some call their teachers, Aunty or Uncle. Although they would answer such title, but it isn't their names. All many things addressed to God are titles, but His proper name is Jehovah(YHWH). You can still call God any other proper title you wish based on what he has done for you.

Adonai means "Lord" while El shadai means God 'Almighty", neither of these two is a name because Psalms 110:1 recorded Adonai in two forms and 1Corinthians 8:5 also said there are many called Gods and Lords. El is the short form of Elohim (God) while Shadai signifies that the God in question is the most high in all the Earth so claims Israelites. To Ancient Romans 'Jupiter" is their Almighty God(El shadai) amidst countless other Roman Gods and in Ancient Greece "Zeus" is their Almighty God(El shadai) amidst countless other Grecian Gods. Ancient Israelites distinguish between their God and that of other nations by HIS name that's why Goliath challenged them since they always call on one single God and cursed David by his own Gods!you'll also notice that David said "i came to you in the name of Jehovah" (YHWH).1Samuel 17:43-45 Other nations have numerous Gods yet still believe that there's the greatest of all these Gods. It's out of spite that these Nations of ancient times resent the name of that single God who always kill them when supporting HIS own people Israelites! Exodus 14:25,Joshua 6:20,2 Kings 19:35,

God's word is supposed to be respected by mortals yet you put jehovah (not even the correct name) over 200 times in a place that it was never seen in the new testament.
This is the most disrespectful thing I have ever seen anybody do.

You consider a Name that is not even correct, Name that nobody knows the correct pronunciation and a Name that was derived by people you consider evil, unrighteous, wicked, worldly, pagans who will be slaughtered by your God as the most important name to you? You guys are really in bondage

You're beaten and knocked out completely because you keep agitating because of a simple religious group that's peacefully and zealously preaching and teaching people about ARMAGEDDON! (coming destruction of the wicked)

So you believe your God will slaughter all non jws (wicked, worldly, pagans, unrighteous evil people) In the upcoming Armageddon in your head? Sit back and watch another 100 years pass you by.
Why are you guys fixated on this upcoming genocide your God wants to perform?
