jnyuwa02: Do you have any sample letter/similar. The only issue I have right now is that my BSc admission is conditional pending if I complete ESL. So instead I plan using a certificate course I got admission at a polytechnic to study Telecom Networking. I already paid 8000 dollar part of the tuition fees. |

Omonoba1981: Sorry I don’t. I will advice you apply for the visa with the BSC admission even if it’s conditional to completion of an ESL class. It is most likely to be approved than a certificate course with no condition! |

Slik07: This one tire me ooh!! The guy did not even receive a rejection, yet others have taken into their hands pontificating that he was refused/rejected a visa. If I were in his shoes, I will emphatically answer no and confidently so for many obvious reasons and well thought out factors. Ps: it was a return, not rejection. If it was a rejection, South Africa sends out a rejection letter with the opportunity of appeal to the South African Department of Home Affairs. 1 Like |

jnyuwa02:Have you noticed the guy in question is yet to say anything concerning his case after posting? Questions were asked here if there's anything fraudulent in his account but he refused to answer, though someone tried answering on his behalf "that he withdrew the money after printing his soa(which to me should be insufficient funds and not fraud). From what I have seen the guy's account was COOKED(until he proves me wrong). And yes, people knowingly use fake soa and when caught they come back on this forum to ask for help........ As usual, I tell them to carry their cross(since they knew what they were getting into from day one 3 Likes |

Omonoba1981: To be honest if I were you , I’d try to do GCE or something and pass English and then apply for a 4 year program . Most times so long as you’re 17-19 and applying for a Permit for a bachelors with funding from parents you’ll be approved In my opinion doing ESL is a waste of money |

Evening guys, this will be my first time of posting here. I will like to ask some questions: Please is there any opportunity to get cheap post graduate programs in Canada? Also, what program will you advice a third class graduate to go for in Canada? Please advice |

Hi everyone. I studied Physics at my undergraduate level and I graduated with 2-2. I want to switch discipline to software engineering and I learned that I need to go through Post Graduate Diploma for that to happen which I am ready to do and I want to run the program in Canada. My question now is, how do I even start? I read post and articles on Undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. but nothing on PGD. Even with the posts I read, I still need a guide through this. I'll be really happy if someone can put me through with the procedure to start. Thank you! |

Slik07: Thanks silk07 Gurus in the house please I need your opinion on this. 1. I have a co-sponsor (My Maternal Uncle) and I want him to transfer money into my account then submit ONLY my SOA with a sponsorship letter from him. 2. Or have him transfer the money into my account and submit both of our SOAs. My tuition fees has been FULLY PAID by my Main sponsor (NDDC) and I hv 16kcad as upkeep in my CANADIAN ACCOUNT waiting for me in Canada just doing this to show family support. Please No. 1 or No. 2 which is most preferable? The reason I ask is because I am scared of money lodgement in my co-sponsor account coz according to him he needs to get his business partner to transfer money to him bfr he can send it to my account. But if I submit only my account I can simply show the sponsor letter from him and state in my SOP my uncle's willingness to support me that's why he transferred the said sum. And how much do you guys think that is fair enough? |

Prudento: Oga if you have done your medical before application you can attach it, in that case it is called upfront medical, helps to fasten your app. but if u didn't u wait to be called. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Austinpee4: 9:08pm On Apr 29, 2018 |
Ratawu:Actually, this information is not correct regarding the SOWP funds requirements. These figures as shown are for sponsorship under the "Family class' and the "Canadian class" categories. These kind of sponsorship is completely different from the SOWP. In the above class, the sponsor must either be a PR, Citizen or have valid work permit to be able to sponsor a 'spouse' ' common law partner' ' Parent' or ' any dependant' with a job and with minimum income as stated in your post above. The SOWP is completely dependent on a study permit holder(Student). The conditions of the SOWP are also subject to those of the study permit holder. The SOWP requires an additional funds of 4k from the PA( student) in addition to funds required for a study permit application and therefore the PA will not have to work in Canada to show the minimum requirement to be able to to sponsor a spouse as your post noted. Note also that in a SOWP, the must be strong evidence indicative that both PA and spouse would leave Canada at the end of the study. Regards. |

A friend just told me about this case. His younger brother applied for the study on 3rd of April, 2018 via paper routes with a tuition fees of $8,000. He put his living and board at $10,000 and others as $3500 making a total AVAILABLE FUND of $21,500 and presented a personal bank statement of about $26,000 but to his surprise, the school sent an emai to him on 26th April, 2018 (three weeks after he submitted his application) that the tiition fees has been increased to $12,000 and he had innocently written $8000 on the study permit form. Hope he won't risk insufficient fund story? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Lemia(m): 9:14pm On Apr 29, 2018 |
DrND: First off the only way you can prove your sponsor was the one who paid the living expenses to your account is by adding the sponsors SOA which shows the debit while your own SOA shows the credit. If you're scared of lump sum in your sponsors account, ensure your sponsor proves that the money got to him legally by attaching evidence of the transaction source in addition to the SOAs. The major fear of lump sum comes when the sponsor hasn't sent money to your personal account and the VO fears that money isn't really for your sponsor hence it won't be available to you. |

goingforward:I quite agree with you. However, there is a point to note as emboldened. Education for kids of 'School age' in Canada is free. School age here starts from 5 or 6 years old depending on the province or territory and continues till the child is between 16 and 18 years old. Before age 5 and if the child's parent(s) decide to send him/her to school( Creche, kindergarten.etc), they will have to pay for it.The Government of Canada or the provisional government is only responsible for the Child from 5 years old which is the school age required by their law for children to start school. yeahkim: With this your CGPA and a better CV, PS, I believe you should be accepted in a Canadian University. Unless the course you intend to do isn't directly related, I see no reason going for PGD when you have above average result. Be guided that most schools take into account of your academic transcript and not just only final CGPA. Goodluck. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Austinpee4: 9:53pm On Apr 29, 2018 |
Jimmychuks2018:Nobody is judging anybody and nobody will. Some responses and answers given are most times from what has happened in previous times or from a trend and understandably, it cannot be used to base a conclusion at all times. However, It will interest you to note that a lot of folks only seek help when they have landed themselves into trouble. Rather than telling the full story, a lot would be hidden under the shelve. This thread has seen countless of situations regarding fraudulent or doctored document. The Canadian visa office especially that of Accra will likely not give a procedural fairness correspondence to an applicant if they have not found out something. It is something they have been doing for years now and from both this forum and outside this forum, it is usually true that these individuals engaged in unscrupulous acts as they test the meticulous nature of these officers. Funny enough, some just dive into their hands not knowing similar fraudulent document(s) have been seen in the embassy by these officers from time immemorial. Also, do not be too affirmative that everybody that comes here to seek help do so with all sincerity, some just want a way out without letting the cat out of the bag. Nobody would own up to something fraudulent at the first instance. When things seems complicated, the truth lies within. I just needed to point this considering that these things have happened and are not new here. My only advise to people is, if you truly need help, you must make the truth known. I have seen many cases where the embassy soft peddled in their decision on the consequences of a misrepresentation and this often is when the applicant inject element of the truth in the response. The hardly send a procedural fairness letter if they don't find something fishy. It's a waste of time on their part without a strong evidence. The process of a procedural fairness is mandated by their law and has rights for the respondent( applicant). Do you really think an officer would want to give such applicant such advantage if he/she cannot substantiate it? Certainly not! Regards. 4 Likes |
