Don’t tell me not to say what I didn’t say in the first place.

He hasn’t played badly so why are u insinuating he does not deserve to be in the team. All I was trying to say was that Onazi also brings WC experience to whatever he has done. He has serious competition, fine. But Talking of Oboabona’s WC experience is out of context and I’ve already told u why.

mbjane:

I am not speaking out of context okay

Yes onazi deserves to be in the team, but don't tell me because someone has World Cup experience he should be in a team,if you play well you deserve to be in the team and if you don't play well you don't deserve to be there so forget about this World Cup experience of a thing.

That’s the fun of discussion. Putting out different formations is a good thing. One person gets it right today, but gets it wrong tomorrow. If we were sure of what will happen or what is best we won’t be here in the first place. There is always room for surprises in football.

That’s it!
Martz101:

Yea is a good thing we have options now, just imagine the 2014 situation, if Onazi goes off injured there is an Ogu, Etebo, even a shehu or a fit Joel coming in to do a good job unlike a Gabriel Ruben coming in.

He doesn’t have the hunger anymore. I think it’s a psychological thing.

Yeah he seems to be wallowing in the good life and fame of soccer. In terms of hunger he might have lost it but it's very common with young players, he can always get his grove back because he's too talented, an assist in about only 3games not a bad statement

Where did I say he does not deserve to be in the team? If you can't show me that then you don't know what you are saying.

I said onazi deserve to be in the team because he is playing well and not because of World Cup experience,World Cup experience doesn't gurantee a player shirt,I don't know if you can understand me and show me where I said onazi doesn't deserve to be in the team ?

Concerning oboabona I am just making example o,oboabona ke

I watched the game. His bad moments outweighed his few good moments.
But hopefully in future he would look at his peers and realize there is still more to fight for in his career.

He can make which World Cup? in place of who?
in place of who?? are you the coach(who has invited him in a friendly which he impressed) he's in the picture I believe.
Not like we have a lot of players in Nigerian players with his skill set!

Cool down brother we both agree he deserves to be in the team. Are u saying his WC experience is not also an added advantage?

That's the point, every player cannot have the same progress rate, but he's young and the potential is there.

Is it you that is the coach as you're backing him for the World Cup?

The same Success that is struggling to trap the ball in Spain that you're prospecting.

Who is he better than in the team you can't answer.

Camping for the WC is enough time for him to shake it off, regain any lost form and get his confidence back
I hope so, bro. For someone that is on the verge of becoming our next best defender.

I'm really worried.

that football for you
he may not fits into the coach system or he did not like him
I think he should even be playing in a better team or league. He's too talented to be spotted on the benches of a lowly Bursaspor...
Chai! Ekong the wall.

For me, he's been really unapreciated and degraded.

Actually, that doesn't surprise me. Ekong is a solid defender but his weakness is the tendency to give ball away at the defensive end (inaccurate passes). That's a major weakness and many coaches won't tolerate that - one giveaway in the final 3rd can destroy your 90mins of great defending.

MetalJigsaw:
Overhyped player.

But what could be the reason behind Ekong's relegation to the bench? It's baffling and surprising.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 6:05pm On May 01, 2018
He will make the 30 man list on merit. Today Ekong is warming bench as well. They will both make the list on merit. But let’s consider this scenario in camp before the Argentina match . If you are Rohr and U are facing
a selection headache between Shehu and Onazi before match day, who would u choose?

Let it be known that I will personally make it my life goal to find him and bury 6 shots of 9mm on his head, chest and belly.. And makes sure he dies a slow and painful death angry

It is not a threat o!... But trust me.. I will make sure he gets served

Ekong started warming bench now which is almost end of the league,if he keep on warming the bench next season I am sorry to say he will not be a regular.

I will choose onazi ahead of shehu

Definitely!

For eg I belong to the Classical and Oprah School. Don't bring anything Rock near me.

But these anthems have been sang using different styles of Music.

And why is that? Shehu is a regular in Bursaspor with an MOTM performance. Has Onazi had a better season? Why Onazi if they are both looking at par in camp?

Rohr is not likely to play Shehu at DM. At least not at this stage of preparations. Rohr has a good list of DM options.

The Star spangled banner is overplayed to me. I’ve heard it too many times. That may just be the reason. It doesn’t have a bad melody. The French anthem gives me memory of a particular stage of my childhood.

You see? now I understand.

Just like the American anthem gives me some particular memories of my earlier youthful stage.
