Amen and amen to the bolded, bro! In fact, that's exactly what I predicted on twitter last night myself, "Real Madrid has wobbled and fumbled into the finals but, not to worry, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool would carve them up and eat them for lunch in the finals. Their luck would eventually run out".

I mean, I have NEVER seen a more undeserving UCL finalist in my life! They are only in the finals due to luck and refs help:
PSG was poised to knock them out cold in the round of 16 but the ref had other ideas - he quickly reduce PSG to 10 men, then Real ran riot.
And in the quarter finals, Juve was getting into the game when the ref decided to take out Dybala with two extremely soft yellow card! That's what killed the game and allowed Real to take a 3-0 advantage.
And yesterday, the ref denied Bayern TWO clear penalties coupled with Bayern gifting Real Madrid a goal on a platter!

In fact, the only good news is that Cristiano Ronaldo has been dreadful in those two legs grin

P.S: Cheer up Bro, The "Egyptian messi" wink (The pharoah of Egypt) and his Army of Liverpoolian warriors may spoil the show for them in Kyiv... grin But in the mean time, take heart...

that we actually believe the ages of these Nigerian players that were born and bred in Nigeria is laughable to me.

Was waiting for this comment to prop up all morning.

Awoniyi, is a boy I met at the U17 Camp in 2012. He was barely 14/15 then and he looked it. He has really transformed a lot physically from then till now. I posted a pix on here earlier on. Besides Awoniyi wrote WAEC the same year he played the U17. And that is usually a major pointer to someone's age.

Again, you're basing your assessment on two friendly matches in which we didn't play well as a team. And in addition, Joel wasn't even 100% fit for those games either. I think we'll get a more balanced analysis once we get a chance to see him play when the full team is in place ... not that makeshift squad we paraded against Serbia.

MetalJigsaw:
This your statement just shows that you're a Joel Obi fanatic. Joel of today is not creative, simple. We're not talking of the Inter Milan days. We don't need glimpses. We already have the "glimpses" from Onazi and Ndidi.
Thank you

Good point, Safari. But don't forget that marriage can also (and do also) derails some people's career. It all depends on the kinda wifey you married. Like my momsy (RIP) would say, "marriage is like a locked box, you don't know what's in it until you open it".

Anyway, Awo baby, I wish you happy married life, may your new wife bring with her, best of luck and a magic key to unlock all the doors of success for you. You know say sometimes, na marriage dey help some people career eventually.

This is mostly true but my sources are giving a more optimistic assessment. According to my sources, Ndidi is expected to be out 2-3 weeks for recovery then add another full week of gym work to regain full fitness. Hence, that puts him match fit by the end of May.

Exclusive: Rohr, NFF To Make Big Decision As Leicester's Ndidi Is Ruled Out For Six Weeks

Wilfred Ndidi will be on the sidelines for the next six weeks, Leicester City have confirmed Nigeria's worst fears before manager Gernot Rohr announces a 35-man provisional roster for the 2018 World Cup.
The central midfielder subbed out in the 51st minute of the Foxes 5-0 loss to Crystal Palace on April 28 due to a hamstring injury and scans conducted soon after the game at Selhurst Park have revealed the full extent of his injury.

Rohr and the Nigeria Football Federation have a big decision to make, whether to name Ndidi on the 23-man for the World Cup with the hope that he will be fit before Nigeria's first game against Croatia on June 16.

''Ndidi will be ready for the World Cup. The result of the scan is out, they will put him on a programme to get him back to fitness,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com .

''He will initially be out of action for four weeks and will need two weeks extra to be fully fit.''

Only yesterday, Ndidi was named Leicester City's Young Player of the Season for the second year running, he was one of the key players for the Nigerian national team during the World Cup qualifiers.

The thing is that Mahrez wants to leave and Leicester is bracing up for that. Mahrez will cost much too. Leicester is demanding like 50million or so. 45 million may also land Mahrez... Mahrez will likely be first out the door in a big money move from Leicester before Ndidi follows and I don't know if Leicester would be willing to lose both Mahrez and Ndidi in same window... but it is possible shaa. Monaco lost a couple in one window swoop on their players... lol... Ndidi will cost more than Mahrez more likely... I personally expect it to be so but time will tell.

If indeed your sources are true, then that is even better news. But abeg they can add another one week too so that we don't risk him against England. Ndidi should not play that England game even if he makes it back ahead of schedule. #MyOpinion.

Yes, I agree. Right now, Ndidi should be counted out of all the friendly matches. He sure starter so it's no biggie if he misses the friendlies. We can use his slot to test the other players on the fringe: Joel Obi, John Ogu, and Mikel Agu.

i concur with supernerds thoughts ndidi needs to fully focus on his recovery. we will need his energy and running against the technically superior croatian midfield

Ndidi definitely needs a bigger stage, like Liverpool or even Spurs but I don't see Leicester letting him go without a fight. It's now an obvious fact that their team is a mess without Ndidi so they'd like to hold onto him as long as they can or until they can at least get a replacement. They won't like a repeat of Ngolo Kante all over again.

EXCLUSIVE: World Cup-bound Iwobi gets new Arsenal contract

World Cup-bound Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi is set to bag a new contract at Premier League club Arsenal soon, SCORENigeria can exclusively report.
He will get an improved deal in the summer, top sources have informed SCORENigeria

“He will renew his contract in the summer,” one source disclosed.

Interestingly, critics have questioned the Arsenal future of the nephew of Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha following the departure of manager Arsene Wenger, who gave him his first big break at the club, at the end of this season.

Now an established international, Iwobi’s last contract reportedly paid him 30,000 pounds a week.
He first signed a long-term contract with Arsenal in 2015 after he joined them as a six-year-old.
He won an FA Cup winners medal with the London Gunners in the 2015/16 season.

This season, he has scored two goals and provided five assists in 23 appearances in the Premier League.

Honestly, Ikeme is still a very very long shot. I know he would be available to witness, live, the Wembley friendly. That has already been arranged. But to recover just in time before June 16, Well... really not happening. Ikeme's condition is really a dire one but He's shown a fantastically positive mindset so far even during treatments and I think that will be his miracle pill for a full comeback into the beautiful game when this is all over. But for Russia 2018, no way is Ikeme making a return.

He was 16 pre-July last year. He is now 17 and will be 18 by July 12 yet that (in the pic I dropped) is him looking so beyond that physically.. and we all accept it. So why does Awoniyi's age still bother some? Really fuuny... cheesy

And Yes, Fantastic talent he is. Vinicius Jr is likely to be money well spent in the long run just like Neymar was for Barca. But hey, time will tell it all... wink

And you believe the brazillian players right? even some european?

The highest age cheat in football are south americans,we can start from diego costa, even paulinho of barca is 29? No need to question the age of our players if you cant question these guys.

Even my lovely Barcelona captain iniesta,he look older than 33 i am not saying he is lying.
i believe only western eurpoean countries, usa, canada, australia, new zealand, japan or if one is born in those countries(i believe osaze odenwigie for eg used his real age)..the rest are suspicious to me..i have no doubt about an iniesta or a robben age..if one experiences the data bases of the countries they belong to you would know why i say so..abeg forget story on naija born and raised in naija..
