hurricanesgrace: There is no way to hide your brother’s presence in Canada if you have indicated it before in a previous application. You were not denied entry into Canada, you were refused a visa to Canada and this needs to be clearly and truthfully answered on your Canadian visa application. Your SOP is for rebuttal of previous reasons indicated as reasons for refussal. Cover other grounds too in your SOP, not only reasons previously for refussal. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 6:04am On May 02, 2018 |
Darasimiolu: I didn’t see this one. There will always be TRV refusals is a fact. Canada cannot be for everyone who applies. The correct prayer is that may God meet everyone at the point of their needs, those approved never to rest on their laurels, those refused the strength to carry on in discovering God’s plans for their lives. For some, not going to Canada is a good thing even though it may appear not to be so looking right now. Perhaps if God allowed you to go, you might miss out on His plans to stay home and build wealth and opportunity that may have byepast you had you gone to Canada. Perhaps by not letting you go is God’s way of helping you avoid meeting an untimely death in Canada. I have seen that happen before. Nothing bad in been religious, free and true expression of faith while putting in the requisite work in validating one’s faith, is a superb thing. Please people in this thing, always pray and work hard and put God first! He who doesn’t pray is foolish. Pray that God’s purpose and will be fulfilled in your endeavor. This is the only thing that makes sense! 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Izzit ur religious? We have seen applicants put up a tight application and still got refused and we have also seen applicants that put up a "not so tight application and got their Visas" button line is prayer is key. Necessary documents or no necessary documents ,all still reguires prayers. If u DNT wanna put ur "necessary documents" in prayers, u have no right to stop those that wanna do so.. Respect other people's input. ThePianoGuy: 4 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 1:21pm On May 02, 2018 |
Ratawu: Ratawu!, Excuse me to tell you why that approach "PRAYER IS THE KEY" may fail you... I know of some people that applied for visa to Canada and got it without prayers, while there are many out there that prayed tirelessly but end up getting refused. I am sorry but I am not underestimating the power of prayers. Of course yes! God answers prayers!. What I am simply saying is that... A lot of people believe that prayer is the master key. But prayer is not the master key. Prayer is one of the master keys. Prayer alone does not get things done with God; that’s the truth. For example, you are asking God to give you money and the Word of God makes us realise that once we pray, He answers us. Then you sit back in your house, waiting for money to drop on your laps. You are not likely to ever get the money. If you ask God for money, God has answered your prayers. It is now your responsibility to take a STEP on how the money will come. As a Christian we pray and fast for something great to happen in our lives upon which you have to take a step on that which you're believeing God for to manifest. If you are believeing God for visa, take a step by putting up an upright and sincere visa application that can land you an approval and let the will of God be done. To sum it up... Ladies and gentlemen "PRAYER IS NOT THE MASTER KEY UNTIL YOU TAKE A STEP" Shalom! 3 Likes 1 Share |

Let's do this, canada First of all What amount of money do my sponsors need to have in an account? Who much is IELTS exam? Can I defer admission If not granted visa on time? I need answers to this Qs before I start applying to different schools for Masters, am a novice here. I need the help of the house |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 1:41pm On May 02, 2018 |
tall2ce:tall2ce, Novice someday turn out to be professionals. Q1) it is required of your sponsor to have your tuition, living expenses and extra funds left for his/her personal life, business and immediate family members. For example, if your tuition is 10,000CAD, cic living expenses is always 10,000CAD plus micellenous (Flight ticket) 3,000CAD. Your annual expenses will amount to 23,000CAD. In this case, your sponsor needs to show funds for the 23,000CAD + extra 20,000CAD. Total available balance of sponsor = 43,000CAD. You stand a better chance if your sponsor available funds exceeds the above example. Q2) You're not expected to sit for an English test prior securing admission into Canadian universities. Simply get a cover letter from your previous institution stating that all lessons were carried out with English language. meanwhile, IELTS test fee is = 68K Naira. Q3) Yes once your TRV application is refused, you can defer your admission to the next available term. Simply request for a deferment from your university and a new acceptance letter will be issued to you without hassles. All the best! |

Omonoba1981:Omonoba1981, With your age (18) going for remedial program of this kind works, as I have seen students of your age bracket (17-19) travelling to Canada for a pre-university studies and got their visa approved. But to save cost and time, the way out here is to gently rewrite GCE or wait patiently for the outcome of your TOEFL Exam since you've already registered for the exam. I won't advise you to spend so much for a pre-university studies in Canada considering you have similar programs available here in Nigeria. |

Omonoba1981:Omonoba1981, Don't be frightened by the B3 grade indicated on the University Admission requirement webpage. If you score C6 in English, it's also acceptable. Try sending an email to the admission office to know if you stand a chance of securing Admission with a D7 in English. Most especially, The University of Winnipeg. |

wasiubello:wasiubello, If you seize not to mention your HND certificate, and eventually your visa application got refused, you can't add this HND certification again to your next visa application. As all informations that was filled on the IMM1294 study permit form has a barcode which CIC stored on their database and when altered, you will be charged for misrepresentation. Any decision you make now, is what you will continue with. Have this at the back of your mind. Also, going for Bsc at the age of 24, you need to provide a rational letter of explanation stating your study gaps since you last left highschool or any technical school. What have you been doing since then til date. Make it precise and straight forward for the visa officer to understand. Again, Explaining your study gaps will be tough for you because you have decided to conceal the fact that you already have an HND certification. But if you can.... then fine! More so, without having discrepancies in your names, going for a bachelor's degree in Canada having successfully completed an HND certification shows no logical progression and you will be seen as a potential immigrant that is using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada rather than educational advancement. To save you the stress and heartbreaks. My overall advise here is that you present your HND certificate and apply for a PGD admission and get an affidavit explaining the name discrepancies on your certificate. With this, you have a higher chance of securing a TRV. All the best! 3 Likes |

myelims:myelims, It won't pose to be a problem to your application as the embassy has a way of knowing the authenticity of the bank statement without your knowledge from the bank and if they are not satisfied with the bank statement, they might request for an updated one. Go ahead with your application submission. All the best! |

House i need a guide on how to go about changing college. i have acceptance letter from conestoga and BVC for September. My preference is BVC because its a 2yr program and also because i have family there. However i processed my application with Conestoga acceptance letter and TRV has been issued. Planning to leave for ON, CA early august and get SP issued first at boarder control before going to conestoga to notify them of by desire to change as well as see if i can get refund for fees of first semester paid. Has anyone had to do this? I dont know if i will face any challenges; i also do not know how i can formally notify CIC at this stage. I have been advised to ensure i get my SP first before i do anything else. Can anyone offer advise from experience pls.. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 3:31pm On May 02, 2018 |
ebimila:ebimila, You need to inform CIC pertaining your change of institution, endeavour to have already enrolled and secured an acceptance letter from the new institution where you're currently heading. Once your TRV is approved, you can change to any institution of your choice, you mustn't wait until your study permit is stampped on your passport before doing that. Use the below link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools/account.html Yes! You can get refund of fees from previous institution but there will be an administrative fee attached to this like 1000$. |

Frankrobbn1: I have acceptance letters for both schools. I plan to touch down in Toronto first and i expect SP will be issued at the airport. So i thought it would be better to go to conestoga inform them of my desire to switch with the other acceptance letter as evidence, before proceeding to calgary. Should notifying CIC be by mail? Because i used a representative and all correspondences were handled by the my Rep. |

From trend, do people still get refused after medical request and updated medical passed? Someone I know got his medical passed update for over a month now but no passport request or any other update since then. Wish all trv hopeful success!! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 4:19pm On May 02, 2018 |
ebimila:ebimila, Good! Since you've already acquired acceptance letter from the new institution, simply notify CIC of the new change of institution. You can email your previous institution of the change and provide evidence through your cic account, you mustn't go to the school physically prior letting them know about the change. To notify CIC of the change, simply create a CIC account if you applied through paper route and link your application online and if online route, you can continue with your cic account. It's very easy! If you don't have the details of your visa application, request for your details from your your Agent. Follow the instructions in this link to change your institution: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools/account.html |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 4:34pm On May 02, 2018 |
Omonjoe: Recent findings shows that it's rare for an applicant to be called for medicals by cic and end up getting refused. Your friend needs to excercise some patience, the application is 95.5% sure of approval. 2 Likes |
