Barely a year that floods rendered so many people homeless in Makurdi, Benue State, here comes another bad experience for Makurdi residents as flood hits some quarters during a torrential rain that lasted not up to an hour today.

A Makurdi resident who happens to be one of the victims cried out on Facebook. The rains in Makurdi have just started and people have started to experience floods already.

This is to alert the Benue state government, BENSEMA, and all relevant agencies including NGOs like “Keep Benue Clean” to put necessary measures in place in order to forestall the reoccurrence of last year’s flooding that rendered hundreds and thousands of Benue people homeless.

The present governor of benue is not doing anything. He is just there for nothing. I remember how the former governor built drainage to allow for easy flow of water. This one even to open blocked drainages is a problem for him
