I have seen many, very many denied for failure to show funds on how they are going to defray their travel cost to Canada. It’s even one of the generic reason for denials a VO can check on the refusal sheet. They don’t want to speculate whether you can run around and get ticket after visa is granted. They want to see evidence. The person that got visa without SOA I guess convinced them one way or the other he could get ticket or he simply was just lucky. It’s great when it happens, but I dont speculate on luck here either. I have to advise based on evidence not luck.

Every fund necessary for applicant can be known via his sponsor bank statement or his personal statement if he's self sponsored. A visa officer has so many logical ways of finding out if the said application is buoyant enough for any expenses the applicant might incur.
Prove your financial abilities in more than one ways and you're good to go

Hello everyone,

I’ve been following and I just submitted my application via the online route.

Please pray for me and add me to the hopefuls. I can share what I submitted with anyone who cares to know.

Please when will they call me for biometrics and how long do we think it will take before they get back to me?

Thank you!

No don't. Your application will be refused for financial reasons and source of funds in your gcms amongst other reasons.

You can go with a 3 month statement if the pages are up to 30. But 4-6 months are mandatory.

Hello everyone,
For someone that applied online in a country where there is no visa application center, how can he figure out where in the world his application is been processed? Can he calculate his processing time using the country he sent out online application or the country where the application is been processed??

Where did u do ur biometrics, or u did it online as well? I know that's not possible. So the centre where u did ur biometric takes precedence. More so, online application can be processed anywhere in the world.

Please house help me. Don't understand what's going on my account. I submitted my trv application on the 12th of april at Abuja vsf. Linked it to online 17th April. I checked my application today and saw I was refused but no message was attached to it as been the reason. My biometric I did at the vsf when I went to submit my application is still showing this below. House pls help me. Is this an error or refused as I can't see any message attached to it as the reason
Sorry about the outcome of your application. Unfortunately, your application was refused and since you applied through the paper route, be rest assured the letter attached to the decision will be inclusive in the envelop containing your passport. Be patient until your passport is returned. In the meantime, you may want to request for the officer's note on the GCMS(Global case management system). A comprehensive and detailed reason(s) for the refusal will be inferred on it. You will need it to better prepare for a reapplication. Check page 0 of the thread to see how to proceed.

Regards.

Biometrics takes 1-4 days but it can also be 7-30 days. No one can give you the actual day for it. check your cc account everyday to know when you get a letter for biometrics. be cool

Use the country where you applied online to check the processing time. If you submitted online in Turkey then use Turkey to check the processing time. If it is in Kafachan then use Kafachan to check the processing time

Download the forms and fill them in your computer system. Make sure your Internet is connected in your system so you can validate them. Then you can upload them in your cic account if you're submitting online but if paper, validate and print out

Most applicants don't sign them online but I signed mine electronically because I used my personal computer system to fill and submit.

For paper application, you must sign with a pen
For online application, you can sign electronically but if you can't then it's not a problem

So many applications has been approved that were not signed as well as the signed ones

My advice to you. Answer your questionnaire briefly to avoid unnecessary issues. Your questionnaire is a written proof of your application questions answered by you first hand.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Oshey9999: 3:25pm On May 08, 2018
Sorry, I forgot to include that.

I wrote a one page SOP to explain why I'm interested in the program and what I plan to do after acquiring the education. I was silent on home tie because Mom is dead and siblings are spread all over the world, so I felt I should just lay low on that. Also, the US sponsor wrote a letter of sponsorship that addressed how the expenses will be handled and mentioned the other sponsor in the letter. Nothing was said about any dependents because we assumed with or without dependents we can handle the expenses.

Pls is it the norm that people who get SP approved are invited for a meet and greet on behalf of the Canadian High Commission. Or does this happen randomly? Any other person invited or had such experience before? What do they even do during such event because i have not heard of it before.

Fill the same page twice, including the additional employment history. Only the employment history section needs to be filled on the second page you are filling. I am not sure if the form asks you to include the info on additional blank page? You might want to read carefully. If not, then I am pretty sure that is the way to go.
