There are accounts on Yoruba history but like I had mentioned before,Oyo didn't attack Bini. But Dahomey , yes Oyo did. And Dahomey defeat of Oyo was because Oyo had collapse, which due to internal wars within Yoruba camps.

Just to chip in some people are saying Benin conquered eastern Yoruba land. However, "yoruba" as a term only applied to the citizens of the oyo city state and by extension all our tributary states

It is only post independence that the term "yoruba" encompassed all yoruba speaking peoples

So technically you never really occupied "yorubaland"

In pre-colonial times, "Yorubaland" will encompass the following present day locations:
