MetalJigsaw:Yea good question but you know what better to keep mum and be watching cos Agbo making 23 man list would be a joke unless there is tactical reason for it. |

Kog45:Sure I'm on your side ere. we all know that that's the very thing keeping Aluko away from the national team for years even when he was a rare fit into the position we needed. The system is corrupt. And only wise ones should use sense to go about such. Keshi is the reason we are here today, no doubt. He called lots ofbthe current new guys we are parading right now. what will be unacceptable is when he is corrupt and not giving the result we need. He tried. If NFF were upright and saints, then Keshi is sainter!!! 1 Like |

Kog45: The thing doesn't make sense to me. How can you drop a player because he didn't impress in training eventhough you never gave him a chance to prove himself in any friendly yet you keep inviting a player who you never gave a chance throughout the whole matches we played, and you want me to believe he impressed in training. Nonsense. I don't believe a coach if he says a player didn't impress in training and refuses to give him a chance in a match for all to see. I could remember Sone Aluko was on fire in Rangers yet Keshi preferred Ezeonyi ahead of him with the impression that Ezeonyi was better in training than Aluko but we saw what happened when Aluko came on against South Africa. For me, it is injustice on both Imoh Ezekiel and Agbo not to be given the chances on the field of play to prove themselves. 1 Like |

chrisooblog: If Germany, Brazil, Spain, France etc are to realise 35 man list, who is Rohr to go with 30? That is very bad for our National team and for the players working hard in Europe to play for their father's land. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 10:06am On May 12, 2018 |
forgiveness: Those countries you mentioned will trim down their 35 man squad to 23 in less than a week.. in fact France and Germany will release their final list next week... Don't forget that Rohr alone doesn't have the final say on the list.. what if he wanted to invite 35 players and the NFF said no? |

NPFL Hotshot Lokosa Excluded From World Cup Provisional Squad, Set For Montpellier Trials 6 May 11, 2018 10:37 pm Nigerian Professional Football League leading goal scorer Junior Lokosa has been excluded from the Super Eagles 35-man World Cup list, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. CSN findings revealed that the Nigeria Football Federation has completed the documentations of the players who are heading to the World Cup camp of the Super Eagles in Austria and Lokosa is not included. “Nobody as at today has forwarded Lokosa’s name for invitation for the World Cup, so I don’t know how he will make the team,” a high-level source told CSN on Friday. “I doubt if he is being considered for the Super Eagles team at all. We have applied for visas for Austria and as you can see, he is not among those going for interview today.” Meanwhile, the Kano Pillars striker, who has scored 16 goals in the first half of the NPFL season, is expected to jet out on trials with Montpellier in France next week. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/npfl-hotshot-lokosa-excluded-from-world-cup-provisional-squad-set-for-montpellier-trials/ |

Aluko’s Performance For Reading In 2017/18 Season Rated Poor May 11, 2018 10:45 am Nigeria forward Sone Aluko’s overall performace for Reading in the just concluded English Championship season has been rated lowly by a Reading-based news medium, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. The ratings which was done by a popular local weekly newspaper, Reading Chronicle, was an assessment of how Reading key players performed in the course of the season with each player scored out of 10. And according to Reading Chronicle, Aluko, 29, rated four. Commenting on Aluko’s performance, the publication wrote: “A shadow of the player who played against Reading for Fulham last season. “Too many games seemed to pass him by. One stand-out moment with his solo goal against QPR and a good performance away at Derby County, but Aluko hasn’t justified his club-record price tag.” Aluko joined Reading in August 2017 from Fulham and made 39 league appearances scoring just three goals. Reading escaped relegation to League One as they ended the season 20th on 44 points, three points above the drop zone in the 24-team final league table. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/alukos-performance-for-reading-in-2017-18-season-rated-poor/ |

Rohr And Agents Are At Loggerheads Over Nigeria's Provisional World Cup Roster Published: May 12, 2018 Rohr And Agents Are At Loggerheads Over Nigeria's Provisional World Cup Roster Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that some agents have attempted to influence his choice of players for the national team ahead of Monday's deadline of naming a 35-man provisional squad for the World Cup. The former Bayern Munich defender admitted that there has been renewed pressure from these agents as the stock of their clients would rise if they are included on the roster. Rohr has made it clear he has no intention of dropping the players that qualified Nigeria for the tournament in Russia and it is thought that the provisional roster will contain ninety percent of the players summoned for the pre-World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia. ''Some agents are calling me or sending me messages about their players, they want me to take them but it is not pressure,'' Rohr said to Channels Television. ''They try to do some things but they see that I don't accept their proposal. I have a look, sometimes, they try to work for the players which is normal. ''I have never been under pressure, I never got money proposal to take one player because they know my reputation, 45 years in professional football I never did it.'' Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho, Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Brian Idowu, Obi Mikel, Eddy Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho are assured of spots in Nigeria's 23-man World Cup squad. The remaining seven spots will be given to utility players such as Ola Aina and Kenneth Omeruo. |

Kelvin in Sports 4 days ago Gernot Rohr bans ‘Oloshos’ from Eagles’ camp ahead of Russia 2018 World-cup (Details) Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, has placed a ban on prostitutes visiting the camp where the players will be lodged in during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. In the statement released on Monday by Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, it was gathered that the players were already aware of the development. News Telegraph correspondent also learnt reliably, that wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of the players who have been given approval to be with the players would also not go to the camp just anyhow and any day. Rohr stated clearly those ladies of easy virtues (prostitutes) or any female who has no direct link with the national team players, would not be allowed near the Eagles’ camp as he is making frantic efforts to avoid distractions in the camp. “We know there are cute girls in Russia who will be all over the place to be around our players but they won’t get close because there will be strict resistance. “Concentration is crucial at the World Cup and the coach is taking this seriously.” “They can only come after match days when the players are relaxed. The training after match will be light and before the start of strategic work for the next game, that is the time WAGs will be allowed. They can only visit and won’t be allowed to stay with the team,” the source said. Gernot Rohr is currently putting finish touches on the provisional list of the team for the mundial which is expected not to be more than 35. Only 23 will eventually make the final list to the World Cup. Super eagles will compete with Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D of the forthcoming World Cup. The team will play three more international friendlies before the World Cup. 1 Like |
