Some will escape at 1.85, some 1.80, some 1.75 and many at 1.70.

Then oil price was relatively down around 50+/60 dollar per a barrel.
Crude oil price as of today is close to 80 https://oilprice.com/oil-price-charts/46
But I think, their q4 2017 and q1 2018 will make a lot of difference.
They are in both upstream and downstream oil business.
They also has a latest discovery this year
http://sweetcrudereports.com/2018/02/01/conoil-hits-oil-oml-103/

They have numerous oil block
Sir is it both the upstream and downstream sectors that are listed?

Well well sef. More than 40% of my portfolio. My average price of 1.47 and my gains from Oando, eterna and transcorp makes me less worried, but I am still worried sha since I go lose money wella.
I will not average down when it bottoms out. I am okay with the units I have.
Diamond no fit kill me, if go no go, I convert the thing to long term.
My next fear is Oando. Let the result of forensic audit come lets know our stand.

These three stock which of them will you go for short term, at least 3 months duration, and of what price?

1. Conoil
2 Flour Mill of Nigeria
3. Zenith Bank
Off the top of my head, Zenith. But please don't take my word for it. I don't own a unit of any of them. If the market keeps being the way it is at the moment, i won't buy or sell anything in the next 3 months.

I just feel for those doing emotional investment in Diamond Bank. The bank is going down and people are still hopeful. It will end up like Skye Bank very soon. It would not be bad if people are targeting to buy at 50kobo or 20kobo. When there is a red flag on a stock, it is a time to move on and never look back again. I need someone to check for me when last Diamond paid dividend. It will likely top 7/10 years.

Diamond has always been very stingy with dividend regardless of great or small EPS yet its price remains high. Same with Intercontinental Bank before it got swallowed by Access.

Transcorp and FCMB once taught me a lesson, those who will be tempted to sell at 1.8 or 1.7, without buying back at bottom level, will be regretting, when they will see it overtaking kilo #2, heading to #3.

If you might sell tomorrow, sell to enter at bottom level, because am seeing it competing with FCMB and Fidelity bank very soon at #2+.

Transcorp reaching 2 will be amazing

You are concluding that FCMB and Fidelity won't go on full offer tomorrow.

Well, Monday is already here. We watch and see.

Really ? Cause I still remember what happened to Zenith but if you don’t let me refresh your memory, Zenith was flogged down to 26 even with its super result..

This market got a mind of its own. I’ve learnt to just fold hand look..

I believe you, but one thing is certain, light at the end of the tunnel for a good stock.
No matter the turbulence.

People are not BUYING because of PERFORMANCE. They are buying because they think there is 'money' to be made irrespective of performance. No one is saying anything about HOW Diamond's management will turn the company around. Nothing about what will be done differently. Nothing about strategy going forward and how they will compete with other banks. It is all about PRICE and nothing about PERFORMANCE.

That's why I wish Onwuka Interbiz is still listed on the NSE. People can use that to perfect their 'gambling' skills

What of Nigeria Wire and Cable self?

MSCI ADDITION FOR WEEK ENDED 11 MAY 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT

The week ended with the All share index reducing by 0.48% compared with the previous week. Action spot during the week was the insurance sector.

MSCI disposed about 1.89% of their portfolio volume wise from 4th May 2018.

As per the mode of the market, this is not a good time to buy highs or expect high profits; the volume seems to be with the market makers.

Now is the time to add some fundamentals to our stock picks techniques. To remove confusion from fundamental analysis or use something like the LCM (similar to the LCM we all learnt at primary school), if you apply this, the probability of staying in accompany that will go dead is very remote. If these fundamentals are bad for a 2 stock in 2 quarters consistently; it is time to sell and wait till the health of that company improves (you have become a financial lab scientist and have discovered that the company is sick, no need for any story or waiting for any advice from any other source, you are equally an adviser and the best you can do is to advise yourself first):
i. Declining gross profit ratio
ii. Declining Net profit ratio
iii. Declining EPS
iv. Negative reserve earnings
iv. Negative working capital ratio (Current liabilities higher than current assets)

Parting message for this week, if you cannot monitor the market frequently- Seplat will be good, you are to sell after the release of the 3rd quarter result for 2018.

NAHCO is still good. This used to be a defensive stock that is now ready for attacking role.

Below were the major disposals for last week as a whole by the fund (volume only):

Global X MSCI Nigeria ETF
Fund Holdings Data as of 05/11/2018

LOL. Better not quote price. Am sure Diamond will reverse for good when you and your forum sister sells your individual units.

After this terrible result if you still intend to buy diamondbk above 70kobo then your village people is very strong.

Betterstill wait till mid-Dec to buy in anticipation of their 2018 F/Y Result. because by then you will see headlines like Diamondbank back to profitability. They grew PAT by 283% coming from a loss of 4B to a profit of 1B blablabla.....

By the way this exactly what Dozie did to his shareholders.
