BoystoMen: Next time you apply, please make it simple. Only LOE or SOP needs to be submitted and not both. Don’t go arguing too much and belaboring on finances, that was not the issue they had with you. Hit the nail straight on the head and keep it concise, short and straight to the point. In effect, offer an effective rebuttal of the reasons checked against you in the generic form and GCMS notes. You do not need to have travelled to get approved, many who are approved never travelled. If your mission for an education is inspirational, you will sail through and travel history will go away. Don’t say you were bugged down with work. Rather, say you have been busy with the exciting jobs of motherhood and juggling job at the same time and have never felt a need to travel but now at the appropriate time when kids are a little grown up. You need a consent letter from their father. Show that you have what it takes to succeed in school in Canada having successfully juggled motherhood and job at the same time in Nigeria. Best wishes! |

gerrymini: Your chances are not good, except this guy begins to show that he is serious and willing even to transfer some money now for your education as he promised. Why is he supporting you and is there any evidence in the past he has supported you? Why is he paying all these millions to educate you if he lacked the common decency to pay you a wage? All these must be explained convincingly to stand any chance. But your chances are not good except this guy commits. |

HiSignature:True talk HiSignature When I chatted VFS they said my children (3 and 1plus) will apply for TRV. That's all I was told. And my spouse SOWP. when I am ready to apply I will ask more information, until then that's all I know. |

Josh1996: It’s not your job to send official transcripts, let the school do it’s job sending transcript from the city they are located and other appendages of authenticity that school in CAnada looks for. An overwhelming majority of schools in CAnada will not accept transcript even in a sealed envelope, coming from the applicant himself. Transcript must come directly from the issuing school to be considered official. Best wishes! |

Qupp: If you are computer programmer by profession, this should be fine. Progression in area of study is measured by VOs based on what you studied in school last or what you currently do for a job. |

GIFTY11: In that acknowledgement there is an email to contact after 30 days and you have not received a response. Ask your friend also to check his junk mail, sometimes the Gcms results are haphazardly mistaken for junk and sent there by email robot. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 5:01am On May 15, 2018 |
aduku1: Attach pay slips, balance in account should not be a problem if you earn decently in a way that convinces the VOs that your employment prospect at home have been good. This will pass as a tie if you earn decent amount. Legal practitioners have put the amount at above $400 monthly depending on dependents to be considered good. |

Tosinoa: Definitely apply right now. Applying for a student visa when you get to Canada, you will be rejected on the ground of “status in country of residence.” Major credits to our sacrificial lamb who gave himself as propitiation to prove this point. You have already proved ties to have been given a visitor visa. You need to prove finances mostly now. 1 Like |

gerrymini: It is not mandatory for your sponsor to transfer funds into your account. All you need do is state on your supporting details on your SOP and have a proof of all stated. Since he is willing to give u details u require then I think u re good to go |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 7:41am On May 15, 2018 |
sogima: It is not necessary normally. But given he has worked for this man with no pay and the relations is distant, VOs will require convincing explanations about the bonafides of this sponsor and his ability to commit and the applicant’s ties of coming to Nijia to a job he is not payed for. At the very least he should pay to improve his chances. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by gerrymini: 8:32am On May 15, 2018 |
Thank you for your response. I actually volunteered my time there, it wasn't like I was employed without pay. The reason I did so is that i resigned my job about that period to study for IELTS and prepare for studies in Canada. Following your advice, I will not mention the voluntary work at his company. He also added in the sponsorship letter that upon my arrival (after studies) he will make me part of the senior management team in his company (I am actually going to study Management). I hope this makes more sense. Also, I hope I will not face the problem of current employment situation if i state that I resigned my job to study for IELTS and prepare for studies in Canada? jnyuwa02: |

hello ,during your visa application process, did you pay your fees before you applied or you just showed a solid proof of funds?, the school I applied to doesn't give a full refund if your visa request is denied, it's a bit of gamble for me, confused on what to do. Mickychen: |

gerrymini:Hello gerrymini: I'll advise you don't put up such application. Are you using this sponsor just to achieve your TRV or is he truly interested in financing your studies in Canada? Your sponsor (a family friend) giving out his financial documents to you has not satisfied the visa officer the permanence of his financial commitment towards sponsoring your studies in Canada. Considering that this sponsor is a third party (a family friend) and not a direct relative to you makes his sponsorship unrealistic to the visa officer because you haven't shown any evidence of past or ongoing financial support from him and limited proof of relationship with guarantor makes your chances very slim. You stand a chance, if this sponsor is a close relative to you (Father, mother, brother, sister, uncle or aunt). To avoid stories that touch and coming back here to seek for an advise again. i'll best suggest you stick to what jnyuwa02, has just said. Let your sponsor pay in money into your account or pay part/full of your tuition to show his genuine interest and commitment in sponsoring you. My advise for you! All the best! 1 Like |

Frankrobbn1: Without a history of your sponsor (in this case a family friend) supporting your academics in terms of funds, the chances of TRV is very slim even if he transfers the required funds required by IRCC. Funds will still be an issue because of past occurrences of most Nigerian applicants. If there is no history then kindly use him as a co-sponsor while a relative of yours should be the main sponsor. He should state where he will be assisting you as co-sponsor in his sponsorship letter. My little contribution . . . Tyler |

Hello house, What does one do if personal statement of account doesn't show salaries received from office. Salaries are always in cash. Can we still go ahead and submit the statement like that? The person is claiming employment and has employment letter, reference letter and payslip already. |
